My husband and I had been saving up for some upgrades for our home and finally chose to pull the trigger. We are incredibly happy with the work MTR Contracting did turning our front bedroom into an office space for my husband and installing an upgraded sink in our kitchen. We were incredibly nervous having our granite countertops cut for the sink but the result was impeccable! You cannot even tell there used to be a closet in the now office. It looks as though the room never had one in the first place. The whole process was easy from start to finish! Highly recommended for any contractor work!

When it was time for some updates and remodeling to my home, I used Google to help me identify a short list of local contractors. Imagine my surprise when the highest ratings were for a company less than 5 minutes from my house! Everyone in the office was so friendly and with the help of the project manager, Alberto Angarita, we began two significant projects in my home and a series of updates for my 10 year old, builder’s grade house. Alberto made sure everything was protected with paper and drop cloths and did a final sweep each day after his team left. Over 3 months, MTR enclosed my formal dining room to be a home office, updated a master bathroom into a personal spa, and tackled a laundry list of home updates, like replacing all the can lights with integrated LED ceiling lights. Alberto frequently reviewed progress and my satisfaction with the variety of quality services MTR provides: plumbing, electrical, framing, painting, you name it! Communications by Daniella and Samantha were polite and frequent and no question I had went unanswered for long.Delays in the schedule were always my choice and the MTR crew were patient so I could get the materials I wanted as the projects continued. They were very flexible and appreciated the investment I was making shouldn’t be rushed. As a final step, they arranged cleaning services and wall/floor touch up to anything that was missed during the projects. I am beyond pleased with the responsibility everyone in the MTR family took to ensure my expectations were exceeded and they delivered the best quality results. I’m starting to save now towards a kitchen remodel I wouldn’t have done by anyone but MTR now!

We've used MTR twice and have two more jobs that we plan on completing with them. Our experience with MTR has been outstanding from start to finish.What we specifically like about working with MTR:- They wait to begin a job until all materials are in-hand. While that means that we might start a project later than hoped, it means that once the project is started, they finish on-time and with minimal disruption. The work is done FAST.- They communicate regularly and thoroughly. Through email, text and phone calls, I can always count on getting quick answers.- They ensure that their work is clean from beginning to end. They taped off walls and doorways to make sure dust doesn't get tracked throughout the house. And when the work was complete, they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves.The pictures speak for themselves. We've had them rebuild our guest bed and bath and replace our flooring.Special shout-out to Daniella & Albert. They make remodeling fun!

On a random day in August 2021, a pipe burst under our foundation.What followed was an emotional roller coaster complicated by a global pandemic, supply chain constraints, labor shortage, inflation and an awful insurance adjuster.Husband and I remodeled both of our homes - in phases - through referrals and have always been satisfied. But, the damage caused by the water AND its location made this remodel more challenging…one our prior contacts couldn’t scope. We needed ~2500sq/ft of flooring (wood, carpet, tile), replacement vanities for guest and master bath, drywall patches, painting, retexturing, baseboards, electrical, etc. After a quick google search, I scheduled an appointment with MTR. Initially, the path from estimate to signing the contract/beginning work was frustrating but as our project progressed we learned why and developed a personal understanding.Each person I met/spoke with at MTR, treated us with understanding and compassion. After uprooting our livelihoods and making the decision to report our insurance company to its regulatory agency, this small detail was very welcoming. Daniella’s customer service skills are superior. Emails and voicemails were always answered timely and thoroughly. She offered valuable advice throughout the process that aided our claim with our insurance provider.Our project manager, Alberto, was equally great. Patient in answering our questions, calls, emails, voicemails; flexible in providing quotes for our requested changes and drafting work orders for our pending signature. Very detailed oriented, thoughtful in his approach, very kind and respectful to our family and the unfortunate position we were in. We never “chased” him for an update…he always provided an ETA for his arrival and notified us once he was done for the day being sure to lock up each night. Despite the entire home being under construction, he still made a daily effort to tidy up, even if it only meant stacking boxes in the garage. At the last minute, we hired a different flooring company. This meant MTR had to work around a different company and honestly, this concerned us. Alberto quickly eased our fears and the other company praised his professionalism. He could write a book on effective collaboration because it was seamless and did not interrupt our timeline whatsoever. We realized that Alberto offers his current projects his undivided attention. The small nuisance that worried us in the beginning, turned out to be his best characteristic.I would be remiss to not mention that MTR’s pricing was higher than the quotes received from other companies. With this being an insurance claim, we expected to be fully reimbursed. That wasn’t the case….our provider paid up to the xactimate price and we are stuck with the remaining bill. That being said, we are living in an unprecedented time. We believe MTR’s pricing was fair and honest. And we are so highly pleased with their work and service and all things in-between that we know hiring MTR was the best decision we made.On the last day of our project, I inquired on the meaning behind the acronym. I learned MTR stands for “More Than Remodeling.” I must say, they absolutely live up to their name. Should any of my neighbors or friends find themselves in the market for remodeling, I will happily refer MTR. And we will definitely be calling them for future projects, too!

MTR installed an artificial thatched roof over my Tiki Hut, replacing a natural one, and did an EXCELLENT job. Not only was everyone with whom I dealt kind and courteous, but more importantly the outcome was fantastic. The product keeps the realistic look of natural thatch, but also comes with a great warranty and is waterproof. The afternoon of the install we had rain, and no leaks! Albert’s crew were punctual, professional, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of quality construction work.Services: Refurbishment, Waterproofing

MTR is a fantastic company that we will be using for all of our future remodels. Being a perfectionist and a DIYer there are some projects that are just too big to tackle, after doing a LOT of research and meeting with several contractors we decided to go with MTR. They helped us realize our vision by giving great suggestions to help us maximize the space of our tiny Master Bathroom. This is a great family company that was always available whenever I had a question or concern. Dani and Rocio were always sweet, professional and most importantly available and let me know how the project was progressing by email and by phone. I felt comfortable leaving them to work on my home when I was away at work and after every day they left their workspace immaculate. They went the extra mile in numerous areas of our project and the bid they gave us was accurate and only changed when WE had additions. They knew exactly what we wanted and had pictures of previous projects to inspire us and show what they were going to deliver. Go with them, you won't be disappointed, they will make your renovation dream come true.

Working with MTR Contractors for our bathroom remodeling, tile floor installation and plumbing in our home was a wonderful experience and highly recommend! Albert and his team were very reliable, honest and highly skilled in their craft. Samantha and the office team were also very responsive, personable and always willing to schedule a zoom call, if needed to answer any questions or provide any information needed. Can’t say enough about how easy it was to work with Alberto and MTR for my commercial project. They knew my timeline to get the store open and met it even with a few change orders. MTR did a fantastic job remodeling a bathroom! We had a small, old and outdated bathroom. MTR figured out how to add space (we moved some closets and created new ones) to a bathroom and enhance two bedrooms with greatly improved closets. The Alberts (there are 3, each great) did a great job!! The price was fair. The time to completion as expected. AND the result was amazing. I highly recommend MTR. This was a scary project for us. We'd NEVER done a home remodel and they made it a very easy experience. Thank you!

I ask to receive a quote to demo and replace a new balcony in my backyard. I received a quote and worked with a guy from MTR who is a nice guy and understand he is getting direction from his boss. Well, when I received the quote I thought it was high, example they were going to charge me $18 a sq foot to install the flooring on the balcony, which even the MTR guy I was working with agreed was high, (typically $6-$8 a sq ft). I asked if we could work on that number and then asked if I could just get a quote for labor and I would provide the material. I was told my project was a small project and that they would not quote me a price for just labor. So if you are reaching out to them for "small projects" be careful they will over charge you for the work. At the end of the day the customer is paying for the material any ways so I am not sure why they wouldn't provide just a labor cost unless they are needing an excuse to hide the over charges. I would be very careful when reviewing their quotes and would not recommend them.
