The Pioneer Street side is really good and efficient, but this Nursery Rd side has been slow as hell and they only have a few trucks. They sat and talked for 10 minutes, right in front of me, while I'm waiting to get loaded so I can get my day done. That's the difference with people that work by the hour and then people who have to get a job done before they go home

They load flatbed quick. Truck route off of 183 is take exit for 12 south. Then take exit for 356 then turn north onto north nursery rd. Every other way in is NO trucks allowed if coming from 183

Although this place is pretty busy and chaotic, it all went better than expected. I found a kind gentleman who showed me where to deliver. I was unloaded in 20 minutes. Great people here! Thank you!

Owens Corning's Irving Roofing Plant offers a positive experience for truck drivers picking up loads of roofing shingles. The staff is helpful and well-informed, making the process efficient and smooth. The fast loading by the forklift driver is definitely a plus, as it saves time for everyone involved. However, it's clear that the location presents a challenge for truck drivers due to the confusing road system and restrictions on truck access. This could be a significant inconvenience, impacting the overall experience of visiting the plant. In sum, Owens Corning Irving Roofing Plant seems to have excellent service with knowledgeable staff and efficient loading processes, but the location issue might require some attention for a better overall experience.

Terrible. There is no one at any entrance to guide drivers to their designated delivery areas. Drive slow and figure it out. I won't ever go back.

We went to plant 2 to pick up a load, you go to the office right by the entrance , put your information in a check-in sheet , and they call you in the order you check in. I like that because is organized and you get loaded in the order you arrived. We arrived around 230 PM, they called us to load at 4:00PM. and it went pretty fast from them .

46,000 of shingles, about 30-35 minutes to load. Tow motor worker very friendly and quick.

if you want to spend all day in line - come here to load! I've been in line for more than 5 hours and until I started swearing, they never called me

Easy access. There are two plant entrance points be sure you know which one your loading at before you check in. Load times depends of how many people get here before you. Sometimes your in and out others it's a bit of a wait.Check in at office and they staff will let you know if your load number is a match. Wait for fork lift driver to call you up. Shut off engine, remove air line and wait is designated area. Plant 1 entrance is on North Nursery Rd, and plant 2 is on East Pioneer (first left after plant 1 entrance).Place to park inside before loading but need to leave after strapped down. Be sure to bring your Driver License when checking in.If your shingles have 4 per layer you may need to flip the one bundle on the end. Fork lift Driver will let you know if your not familiar. This us usually done at load point 1.

If delivering you get to go through the same waiting hell as you would picking up. You sit in the same queue as shipping. This place kills your clock shipping AND receiving. They now open at 5am but it's just as much a nightmare 🤦🏻‍♂️

This place is horrible. The wait to load or unload is absurd. No organization or order. They just pull trucks from whatever line they are in at the front no matter who was first checked in. Same lines to load or unload. At least organize the process. Killing driver clocks by the hour.

Carriers / Owner Operators beware: this company is agains individual liberties and human rights, as it doesn't allow the possession, leave alone carry, of firearms in their facilities. They rightfully legally can do so, but no Texan, nor any 2A supporter should give them business; either buying their products, nor provide them services.

Old man Fry started making T Lok shingles here a long time ago. Owens Corning bought the plant and expanded it. This place is huge, clean and efficient. Owens Corning is becoming one of the best and is improving daily with more and better colors and styles.

Plant 2 is awful. In 2hrs they have loaded 3 trucks. There is still 16 trucks in line. For shingles they pay really low.

Beware of warranty as it doesn't cover the cost to repair your roof if you use their shingles/supplies. DO NOT USE OWEN'S SHINGLES!
