We just popped in after seeing the place from the interstate! Truly an innovating way to build houses, go solar, last 500 years, survive fires and tornadoes, and look super cool while living in it! Ask for Gary and get the tour!Follow us across the country @crazykleinadventure #crazykleinadventure

It was a very educational and eye-opening experience. Based on my feelings when I entered the park, I almost turned around and left. The condition of the park was horrendously unkept. I realize this family has been researching monolithic domes for many decades, and I am impressed with that fact… that the original family is still following their dream. the young woman Tour Director, was very informative, very polite and pleasant to talk with. I am surprised by the fact that she has no architectural or engineering background. If I learned anything , it was the fact that how difficult it is to change the perception of the American public on new alternative housing I decided to take the tour, and I’m glad I did. I have a very good view of the entire operation. The overall dirty, unkept property really turned me off. The rental domes are two notches below a trashy trailer park. It appears that this family has had a difficult time funding this entire concept. I give them credit for their perseverance and their faith in trying to change the American perception of what a home is. I would never recommend anybody to visit this research center. At least, not in the near future! I don’t mean to be harsh, but hopefully my opinion will count. Thank you!!

Have known these people for over 40 years... You will absolutely be amazed by their generosity, kindness and knowledge of dome technology.David South was indeed not only a pioneer in the industry but a true genius and is missed by all who knew him

Got to visit and see the caterpillar. Too bad we came during off hours. We did walk the area and got an idea for what these houses were like. Way different than any traditional home. The office hours are Monday thru Friday. No weekends and by appointment only.

Very cool place. You can walk inside a dome home, a dome studio, and a long dome they call the Caterpillar. The staff is nice and helpful. Great way to build a home that is fire proof, earthquake proof and hurricane proof.

I visited their website, but we are going to visit in person again, Lord willing. My Dad and I visited about 9 years ago. Hope to build one soon, Lord willing. I'm impressed by the hard shell, no maintenance and low home insurance premium.Their monolithic domes are earthquake proof, fire proof, bullet proof and tornado proof. It's not God proof though.

Love dome homes the only home that can stand a tornado 🌪 and hurricanes 🌀, fall in love with them and get a safe house built .

It's been a dream to come here. Beautiful construction, very friendly staff, a cute little lake, and friendly neighbors. I recommend anyone who has seen the iconic bubble caterpillar on the highway to stop in and check the place out. If you want to stay the night in one of the dome cottages make sure to reserve months ahead of time.

Seen several of their structures around the country... Churches, schools, day care. Haven't yet visited a home or this location.Read enough reports about them surviving tornadoes and wildfires that if we ever build our own place this'll be our #1 choice.

When we first moved to the area, my dad wanted to see them. He immediately wanted one, but God had other plans. Dad is in heaven, and even though he wasn't able to have one in this world, he has one in Heaven. These little igloos are energy efficient and cozy!

I love this place. Took the kids here to visit. We loved the look of the little houses. Tgey were actually bigger inside than they looked. The staff was friendly and let us look at several. Found out that you can rent them too!!

My family went through the motions of designing (AND paying) for the complete architectural designs of a home with this company, but ended up not signing a contract. Over the course of a few months, nobody set foot on my property to evaluate it. (Perhaps that was my mistake for paying for designs in the first place). During interactions with this company, it became very clear to me that their primary business is NOT HOMEBUILDING. They clearly make most of their money by building commercial buildings for things like storage of farm and industrial materials and super-structures for public buildings. Over the course of a few months, I got multiple indications directly from communication with the company that those projects took priority over ours. Our local general contractor could not get a straight answer from them, their engineers did not agree with each other based on local building codes, I could not get them to ever set foot on my property, and the waiting just became unbearable. Furthermore, it should have been a red-flag from the beginning that getting a construction loan for these types of homes is basically impossible. (It is beyond impossible). Instead, I continued to drink the kool-aid and talked myself into using my own money. Even after indicating to this company that we would use our own funds to do the build, they continued to stonewall and de-prioritize my build until the time came that my wife and I decided that it would be financially irresponsible to sign a contract with them. While I'm sure the invention of the monolithic dome is fantastic, this builder is most definitely not. If they wanted to, over the last few decades, they could have made an effort to work with a select number of lenders in the country to create a market for this type of residential construction, but this company clearly makes most of its money commercially and we refuse to participate in the fiction that they actually want to build residential homes. Think really long and hard before you engage with this company. We decided to walk away. Good luck out there.

The website for the Village, Rental Units, and Office, etc does NOT do any of it justice. They are way more interesting and inspiring up close in person.
