First of all, the owner James Scalf, was most professional in helping my wife and I with understanding the process of restoration of a closet and hardwood floors following a ruptured pipe in our coat closet. He sent out Izaiah Rivera to inspect and then make a plan of what needed to be done. His explanations were succinct and he answered all our questions. I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to have someone as excellent as Mr. Rivera. We are both comforted by his fund of knowledge and what he explained. We have the utmost praise for him. If you are considering hiring this company, please read this rather lengthy review. I hate to write bad reviews but given how terrible my experience was with this company I feel obligated to and I would hate for anyone to go through what I went through. I hired Puroclean to do mold remediation. Due to the extent of the damage, my insurance did not cover the costs so I paid out of pocket. I found that because the insurance did not cover my costs, they cut a lot of corners and did not take care of all the mold. I had them come back more than 3 times for subsequent treatments because I kept finding mold they hadn't taken care of. The supervisors appeared to be knowledgeable but unfortunately the workers did not know what they were doing and were often left unsupervised. This was evident when they ripped out my drywall before doing an asbestos test. When I expressed my disappointment, the supervisor did an asbestos test and did indeed find asbestos. Therefore, my partner and I were likely breathing in asbestos fibers for days since there were no containment precautions taken. When I asked they take a look for mold behind another area, they told me it was not needed. I insisted, and they finally pulled out drywall covered in mold that would have been left untreated. Upon taking out part of my kitchen that had to go to get to the mold, they broke my sink and put a hole in my wall. I ended up having to treat the mold myself because I got tired of asking them to come back. I called Puro clean to clean out a dryer vent that birds had moved into. It was a big mess. Sam and Seth came the same day I called and cleaned it out. They were very nice and did a great job. I would definitely recommend their services. Thanks guys!

The entire bottom floor of our house flooded due to faulty drainage. Within eight hours the folks at PuroClean had removed all of the furniture, pulled up the flooring, and installed industrial fans and dehumidifiers, which greatly reduced the damage.PuroClean walked me through the process of cleanup and restoration in cooperation with my home insurance. Knowledgeable, professional, courteous, they worked hard to make a difficult situation the best it could be.I hope to never need to call on them again, but if I find myself in a similar situation, I will not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about the PuroClean team! I had a bad experience with one of their competitors prior to calling PuroClean so I was a bit hesitant when I first met with them. But I can honestly say from the first assessment to final finish of the job, they were there to answer questions, follow up with subcontractors, trouble shoot and even help with personal things I needed help with. Everyone on their team is curious, friendly and extremely professional and made me feel very secure during the entire process. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has the need for mitigation or rebuild!

Although no homeowner wants to have something happen that requires working with a company specializing in emergency recovery services, if it does happen I cannot recommend PuroClean with anything less than a whole heart. Right before Christmas I experienced water damage from a line in my wall that had apparently been spraying water for some time. Disaster! PuroClean was recommended to me by the company that repaired my water line and my home looks good as new. These folks are there when they say they will be, care about getting your home back to normal and that you will be happy with it, and they work hard to make it happen as quickly as possible. Thanks to PuroClean's efficient and friendly service, including working closely with my insurance adjuster to finalize a repair estimate upon which everyone agreed, dealing with my emergency repairs was not nearly as bad as it could have been.

I was in a panic when I went downstairs and saw the damage caused by a blocked pipe. The carpet was soaked, the book case and wall were destroyed. PuroClean arrived within the hour and assessed the damaged. The representative was calming and assuaged my anxiety. I was given a clear/ understandable explanation of what needed to been done to return my home to normal. That very night the process of mitigating the damages began. Everyone connected with the restoration, from the office to the technicians, was professional and courteous; no question from me was treated as dumb. PuroClean worked well with my insurance. This cooperation allowed my stress level to become almost negligible. I cannot say I I enjoyed the circumstances of becoming involved with PuroClean but my house has never looked better.Anastasia E. I can’t say anything for the new ownership except to read the reviews and decide for yourself. I cringe every time i vacuum my floors. Puroclean was recommended by our insurance and I’ve told them not to recommend anymore. They replaced our floors a few years ago and it was one of the worst experiences ever. From the salesman coming into my house too early (I asked him to wait until I had gotten my children off to school b/c the kitchen is the hub) in the morning to cover cabinets - that I came in later to find out the installers had undone, no reason to cover them - to the horrible soft wood they replaced it with, to the terrible installation job (cracks big enough for crumbs & debris to fall into between the boards). The wood scratches when you look at it wrong! If anyone I know needs floors replaced, I don’t recommend this company unless you don’t care about your house. Our front and back doors were left open all day as well - with the air running. The actual problem THE ACTUAL PROBLEM! - water leaking in at the back door during a storm - was never actually fixed. So, make your own decision.

I was impressed with the way PuroClean representatives regarded my emergency as something that needed to be resolved quickly. The situation, one that involved water and some sewage that had pooled in the crawl space of my home due to a failure of the sewer pump grinder, was quickly evaluated and a detailed plan presented that showed a step-by-step process. I had a quote on the project in one day and had all that I needed, including pictures, to settle my homeowner's insurance claim quickly. All steps that were outlined in the PuroClean initial quote were taken, to my knowledge, and the Production Manager on my account came to provide a final inspection on the project. I am well satisfied with the work of PuroClean.

Our new hardwood floor was damaged but when PuroClean came for the mitigation process, they were able to return the floor to nearly new condition without replacing it. The repair process was impressive also. We are very pleased with the work that was done on our home.

Under the original owner, Kelli Smith, Puroclean was a complete failure. They were contracted to replace our downstairs flooring after a pipe burst. The process was disorganized from the start. Answers to questions changed daily. There was poor communication between Puroclean staff, insurance, contractors, and myself which left our house in disarray for months. Once the project was over, I could not get a response to my calls or emails regarding my concerns to faulty workmanship and being charged for services that were not rendered. 8 months after the initial claim, the new owner of Puroclean, Charles Atkins, has stepped up and fixed everything that Ms. Smith left behind. He and his staff have been timely, thorough, and attentive in fixing Ms. Smith's mistakes and neglect. I truly appreciate all their hard work. They have redeemed the Puroclean name!

PuroClean provided better service than I expected given the volume of issues around Nashville due to the ice storm. They were responsive, clean, and VERY professional from their office staff to their contractors. I have never been more pleased with a contractor and I had to have drywall repair and my entire main floor hardwood replaced. Excellent!!! Five Stars

His patience was especially appreciated. The contractors who laid the Flooring were also very experienced in working with seniors. This meant a lot to me due my father having dementia. The team at Puroclean were absolutely awesome!. We had a water gusher under the house and they responded very quickly. They extracted the water and left dryer machines until everything was completely dried out, I know it certainly prevented further problems with mold, minimizing the cost of potential repairs. I hope I don't have to, but if I need any restoration due to property damage, I will definitely be calling you guys again, thank you!!

Our insurance set us up with this company to start the process of cleaning up and fixing a roof leak. My husband was away and I work all day. Someone from the company called and we set an appointment for 4:30. At 3:30 I get an alert that someone is at my door. It is the company there to start working. I call and remind them it was 4:30. They state that they will be back then and do not arrive back until 5:30. The next day, another guy comes to deliver a dehumidifier. He was prompt and quick. Three days later, they continue to call my husband who is not available and tells them to call me. They continue to call him. Finally they call me and set an appointment for 3:45. 4:00 rolls around and I am just waiting. I finally call and they say they are having van issues and will be here at 5. I understand car issues, so I take my dog out for a walk and wait. They tell me at 5 that they are finally headed my way. An hour later, they are still not here. This is getting to be ridiculous. We have already let our insurance company know how hard this has been on us and how unfortunate our experience has been.

After a very long delay due to weather, they came out and performed the drying out process. I was told they would give me a repair quote after the drying process concluded and would be able to start the repair work within a few days. I was pleased with the service performed for the "water mitigation" issues but I have contacted the company 3 times to get the repair quote and work done and my account rep. has not responded. So, I still have a mess with missing dry wall, etc. and will have to get someone else to come and repair the damage. Not happy.

We had a leak in our guest bathroom in April 2016. PuroClean was recommended to me but I had never heard of them. I am so glad that I used them. They worked very hard and were very professional. They communicated well and did exactly what they said they would do. I would highly recommend PuroClean.

This review is directed at new ownership. After sustaining water damage to my home this past summer, my insurance company used Puroclean. We had no issues at the time; I found them to be professional and efficient. The work was wrapped up by the end of summer and my insurance company paid for the work.Just a couple of weeks ago, I received a letter in the mail from a collections center stating that Puroclean had referred my account to their office. After a couple bewildered calls to the collections center and my insurance company, I attempted to contact Puroclean, specifically Tina, as I already had her contact information. Tina answered the phone, then when I started to explain the situation, the line disconnected. I called back twice and eventually left a voicemail. That was a week and a half ago.I called back today using a different phone number, and Tina answered. She stated that the previous owner is the one who referred my account to collections and that there was nothing that they could do.Assuming that this is true, I get that it's frustrating to have to deal with issues due to a previous owner, but I'm still annoyed that I had to call back to get any kind of response or explanation and that my inquiries appear to have been ignored. I also would have appreciated a more thorough explanation as to why they had no information nor any records of previous invoices or payments. I got the feeling that they had no interest in helping me.

I had ice dam water leakage in February. I called Puroclean and my call was returned very quickly. They were honest about the volume of calls they were receiving and suggested we get on more than one recovery company list. To be honest I never received a return call from some of the other companys and Puroclean was at my home drying it out in a few days. Very professional and all my repairs were done quickly. I would recommend this location of Puroclean to all my friends and family in the Nashville area.

Believe all of the ratings that you read. If you want to completely waste your time and money, they are the perfect company for you. I was told the project was going to take 15 days, and I figured at most that would double. Oh no, it was nearly 6 months before the project was done. If your insurance company says work with them, do NOT listen to them... I wish I could 0 star them. Here is a few of the MANY issues:1. Left my front door WIDE open overnight. - not just unlocked, but WIDE open.2. Put up new drywall in the ceiling WITHOUT insulation.3. Drywall guys set off the sprinkler system and blamed me for it.4. Left hair in the wall when they were painting them - even put a white streak on a green door.5. Completely ruined all of my furniture by not putting any blankets or protection in the pod.6. If they say they are going to show up, expect them to be hours or even days late.7. Different color grout and paint used throughout the entire space so they had to hire someone else to redo everything the first crew did.In a nutshell, do not use this company unless you want to be a project manager, contractor, and account manager as well as completely losing your sanity.

Use anyone other than these guys, DO NOT USE PUROCLEAN! Right from the beginning they were not doing their job properly. It was extremely hard to get my insurance company to originally cover the things i lost in the fire beacuse the demo team didnt take proper pictures, my insurance told me they should know better that and created alot of extra work for him. I took them over a year to get me back in my house as they were multiple periods were it went for weeks if not more where it was untouched. So much is wrong and they pay very little attention. When they built my bathroom they did not install a HVAC vent, they had the tile and everything finished and ended up having to argue with them to put a vent in there. They said it didnt have one before.. what.. every room had a vent , i had pictures where i originally purchased house and the vent was definitely there. Speaking of HVAC they finished the hallway and before making assumptions i asked if it was completely done and they said yes, that when i pointed out that they did not cut a hole and install the HVAC intake and filter. He just stood there suprised and saying i dont see how we forgot that. Moving on they didnot measure properly when building cabinets and accouting for drywall thickness when leaving room for the fridge to slide in so when that time came they ended up cutting inches off my counter which left crooked lines and rough edges, as well moving the wall back a foot or two. The floors were already installed so when they shortened the wall they had to cut up pieces of the laminate flooring, they glued these back in place after modifying and they never stay all this could have been avoided if they would have just took the time measure properly. Measuring seemed to be a recurring issue as nothing in the house is alighed properly the floors have gaps and pop up all the time, the dishwasher was installed bery noticeably crooked and it is extremely hard for me to even get my pinky finger far enough in to push the buttons to start it, i dont have big hands. When they installed the sink in the bathroom a worker dropped his drill and put a crack in the porcelain this is now a hole that they refuse to fix. We had to have them come out remove drywall in the closet leading to the attic as it was starting to mold where moisture was dripping onto it. The moister was due to the not properly sealing the attic, they came and removed the molded drywall and never came and finished it, i hasd a gutted closet now for over a year. We make alot of calls to them and noone ever returns our calls when we do get someone they would always set a date and never show. Im sure im missing other issues as so much has happend, but this was an extremely bad experience. Now they have finally decided to start calling us but, its to explain how the warrenty is over.. convenient isnt it? if you have a large insurance claim just trust me and DO NOT USE PUROCLEAN. This review will stay untill they decide to rix their mistakes.
