Richie has worked for me since I moved to Kerrville. At the beginning, he worked almost exclusively with me remodeling our house and doing other construction projects. The first picture you see in his profile is a 56' x 42' shop, garage and entertainment patio that we built together. Now I am 80 years old and can't work like I once did, so I rely on him and his crew much more than I used to.

I can’t say enough great things about this company! Richie and his crew are top notch and do excellent work! It’s hard to find people who are willing to show up and do a great job anymore, but you won’t have that problem with Hill Country Home Improvement. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I thought I was hiring a 3 man crew, for the first week, it was just one guy sanding, he did a great job and seemed to be the only one who cared about his workmanship. The second week the owner, Ritchie and the other guy showed up and that’s when the rest of the job started going downhill. Ritchie didn’t want the sander to spend much time sanding. The siding replacement is a horrible job, I now have worst gaps between boards then I did before, which should not exist, if the siding was put on correctly. They stomped and killed all my flowers in my flowerbeds, spilled paint all over my driveway and my painted front porch, oversprayed paint on white trim, destroyed my trim in two places, didn’t fill nail holes, used both nails and staples to put up the siding & all the knots in the wood are bleeding through the watered down paint. Not to mention, some of the boards added were not even primed. Almost every single board they replaced was split and cracked upon nailing/stapling to my house. The little bit of caulking they did do, they left unpainted and in 3 months is cracked and useless. After only 3 months the boards he added started popping off my house and are warping.I paid him the second half of the total on second week, which another reviewer had mentioned, is where we went wrong.The total he gave me included all paint and materials. Yet, when they claimed they were done, Ritchie asked me for more money for paint and materials! I refused to give him any money for anything other than the extra expenses such as insulation he purchased, upon my request.I caught him in several lies and do not recommend HCHI to anyone.

Richie found several items that needed repair in the cabin I am leasing to his daughter. He communicated with me about his plans and how the project was progressing. Very satisfied with the results.

I have been using Ritchie and his crew for several years. I have been very happy with their work. They do quality work, use quality materials, are dependable, and trustworthy. The are very respectable and nice guys to work with. I highly recommend them for small or large jobs.

Great experience with Richie and team at HCHI. We had a ton of work done on a rental property and Richie was a great partner helping us with flooring, paint, and general repairs. He did a good job communicating with us and kept us on time and on budget. Would recommend his team for any work you need in the Kerrville area.

Ritchie and crew did a great job replacing the siding on my mother's home. Several other issues showed up in the process and he and his crew addressed them all. They paid very close attention to the details, always kept me informed on the progress, and they were all very professional. He is now my "go to guy" for home repairs.

Richie, General Contractor/ owner of Hill Country Home Improvement, provided excellent professionalism for the remodel of my home. New windows were installed, doors were adjusted and repaired, walls were upgraded with new drywall, texture and paint etc. Before leaving jobsite, the crew made sure that all the assigned projects of my home were satisfactory. I am very impressed by the various projects on the company's website on facebook or google. I have called the company on occasion for questions of upgrades to my home and have received suggestions and information. I would highly recommend this company.

Richie Larsen is a poor partner. He is a blamer. He doesn't take responsibility. He does poor quality work. I paid him too quickly and now he will not address issues. Per the contract he was to replace a porch support he said needed replacement. He did not replace the support post and will not address the matter. Two other contractors advised me the support doesn't need replacement. Note the wavy siding he installed. Richie says he will fix it with 'more nails'. There are many more issues.

If you need a contractor in this town , THIS IS THE GUY FOR YOU. Richie and his team tended to EVERY need I had! Richie came and redid my entire siding and patio. Redid ALL the paint on the outside AND inside of my home. I had sheet rock that needed replacing as well as a new work shop built and these guys NAILED it on work. I’ve never been happier with any other work like theirs and I know who I’m calling anytime I need another job done around my place. Thanks again Richie and the guys!!!

Great work, reliable contractor. This crew was knowledgeable in several aspects of construction to include the build of my addition and painting interior and exterior. Great customer service, pricing and timeframe from start to completion. Highly recommend!!
