I can’t say enough wonderful things about James and his team. They did a remarkable job on my kitchen, flooring and wall update in my living room. No regrets in choosing him and his team over 2 other quotes. Let me be clear, all three quotes from three different contractors were right around the same ballpark. I chose James because of his attention to my vision, his guidance and suggestions as we walked through the options and planning. I was even more impressed with his team. Enrique is a true right hand man. They made our living situation as comfortable as possible as they worked on the projects. They kept things nice and clean after every job. I was blown away on the final day when all projects were done and it looked like they had hired a cleaning crew but it was the guys who made it all ready for me to do the fun part. Setting up.I can’t forget Amy and her cabinet guys. They were precise and fast. Love my cabinets. Thank you so much, it was such a pleasant experience to work with you and your team James. James and his team truly saved our house after having terrible work done by a contractor team’s that compromised the integrity of our house. James hired all the right people to fix the joists, level the top floor, reinforce beams, fix dry wall and do new dry wall, lay flooring the right way, install tiles the right way, and this list goes on. There were so many horrible pieces of advice that we were originally told and James and his team came in to resolve the advice and get our house completely renovated. In addition to all the work on the inside they did great work on the outside. They extended the porch beautifully and did a wrap around staircase as well as installed front fencing. Anything you can name, literally, his team did. He even hired outstanding plumbers and an electrician. You can trust James and he restored my faith in being able to find a trustworthy and reliable contractor to do work in Galveston, TX. I’m so grateful James went outside his usual service area of League city and Texas City to come and fix our major house problems. Distinctive Renovations remodeled our master bath in order to accommodate my husband's health issues. James' team removed the old tub and shower and built a closet and a huge shower with grab bars. They also replaced the flooring and toilet. James and Jessica were extremely helpful in guiding me when selecting the finishes. James and Jessica were always responsive to my calls or questions; and they, as well as their team, were very considerate of my husband's illness. The shower is fantastic and the bathroom is gorgeous! I will be calling on Distinctive Renovations in the future for a kitchen remodel. Thanks to James, Jessica and their team!

James' team did an amazing job on our remodel. We have an older home built in the 60's and had some poorly built framing on several external walls that caused the window frame to rot. Additionally, we had similar issues with our front and back entry ways.James came over and did a detailed walkthrough of what we wanted and provided a no-cost detailed scope of work.His work crew was lead by Enrique. They arrived ontime each morning and cleaned up everyday before leaving the job. Jame and Enrique were helped answer my questions throughout the remodel process. The crew was amazing and I felt comfortable with them working on my house whenever I had to step out.Overall, I would recommend them to anyone looking to take on a major structural remodal. Very few companies possess skills to do structual remodels. Distinct Renovations was definetly up to the task!

I highly recommend James and his team. We met and discussed renovation plans and was presented with a detailed quote and detailed payment plan. I never had an issue getting in touch with him regarding questions I had, it was always a fast response to questions. My house had a pipe bust in the ceiling of my home when the freeze came through Texas and flooded my entire home. James and his company came in and looked at the damage and informed me of what needed to be done to bring the house back to living standards. He worked with me and informed me of how to handle the insurance company to ensure the property damage got taken care of. His company fixed all drywall, flooring, cabinets, redid a whole bathroom from wall to ceiling, fireplace, blinds, baseboards, ceiling fans, and all countertops. His work was AMAZING!!!! My house came out beyond incredible and I couldn't be happier. We contacted James after talking to a few contractors that didn't give us the right vibe, and he made us feel truly comfortable during the initial meeting. James impressed us with his professionalism and we selected his team to remodel our master bathroom and update our kitchen. They were able to work with our schedule and overhauled the kitchen while we were out of town, keeping us updated and also meeting the tight time frame for that project so we wouldn't have to find a hotel or make other arrangements when we got home. The bathroom was completely gutted and he and his crew helped us design and budget the custom bathroom of our dreams. My husband and I recently bought a house that needed floor repairs. We knew it would be a pretty big job since the square footage was around 4,000 sq. ft. We started our hunt for a contractor, not knowing exactly how bad the damage was. When we met with James from Distinctive Renovations, we knew he was the man for the job! His understanding of our pier and beam foundation and many years of experience put us at ease. He quickly got us a quote and stated that demo of the old sub-floor would need to be done to figure out everything the job would entail. It turned out that our big project was actually an enormous one!! ALL of the floor joists were rotted and cracked. Every single joist got replaced and two layers of new sub-floor was put down across the entire 4,000 sq. ft. This was a huge undertaking that James and his uncle from Continental Foundations handled expertly! All of our concerns with the floors and also the need to keep water out from under the house in the future were addressed. On top of that, there were plumbing repairs, a new deck built for our A/C units, new vents cut in the brick and lots of clean up under the house from previous workers. James’ attention to all the little details is so refreshing. His coordination of this extremely complicated project was done very efficiently. Communication with James was amazing and he always responded very quickly to answer any questions and give updates on what was being done. We will be using James’ service as a contractor for many future projects. Had the opportunity to work with James and his crew during the unprecedented freeze in February. A neighbor recommended Distinctive Renovations and I was delighted that they responded so quickly and began to repair my frozen pipes, removed debris from a ceiling that collapsed being mindful of our health and safety. James explained in detail what needed to be done and actively worked with my insurance adjusters to make sure every item was correctly addressed. Highly recommend James and his crew! James is very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining things. His crew was awesome and courteous. Our bedroom had to be torn down due to water damage and some of the bathroom. They did a great job redoing all the walls, ceiling, fixing our closet, texturing and painting. In addition, any little things they found along the way they told us about and fixed! Some of the water damage was coming from outside the windows and they fixed the source by patching the mortar. We even had a water spigot outside we hadn't gotten around to fixing since the freeze that they fixed up for us. The work was finished according to the timeline they gave and they cleaned up great afterwards! We had extensive termite damage where we needed to replace basically half of our home. They repaired/replaced from the roof to supports for the floor joists (and everything in between). Roof, sheeting, rafters, studs, drywall, subfloor, floor joists, siding, hot water heater reinstall, electrical, plumbing, kitchen cabinets taken down and reinstalled, tile, deck repair, exterior and interior painting....they did an amazing job.
