The gutters look like they were builder installed - they're that perfect of a match for our house.The team worked quickly, precisely, and paid attention to the details - like placing additional diverters where we get the largest amount of runoff from the roof. Throughout the whole process of having our home’s roof replaced, Chris, Chala, & Doug were always respectful, friendly, and professional. It was a pleasure doing business with them and their crew. We had somewhat of a hard time getting our insurance provider to cover costs of replacing our hailed damaged roof in the beginning, but we really appreciate the honest advice and confidence from Chris and Doug which led to our claim being approved. Also, Lone Star roofing crew installed our new roof in a timely manner, didn’t do any damage, and did a really great job. I really appreciate how they told us ahead of time how to keep certain breakable household items, wall hangings or outdoor items safe during the roof work.

Lonestar replaced my roof damaged by hail a few weeks ago. They did an outstanding job getting the job done in ONE DAY! They arrived and began tear off very early in the morning and continued working until dark. Their supervisor, Jimmy Shrull, kept me updated every step of the way. It is rare, in this day and time, that I can say, without reservation, that I am entirely satisfied with the performance and quality of work from a company, but that is exactly what I now report! Hands down, one of the best contractors I have worked with EVER! Super friendly, VERY informative, easy to work with and professional!I needed help correcting an issue I had with my house over heating in the Texas sun since the builder of my house cut corners and didn't build adequate ventilation into the attic. Chris and his team fixed the issue for me, something I have been fighting with the builder and home warranty folks for 2 YEARS!I had gotten 5 different quotes on what I wanted done to my house and Chris and his staff were the ONLY ones that didn't try to tell me I needed more work done than I wanted. Didn't try to tell me they would contact my insurance for me to try to get me a whole new roof and didn't sound like they were trying to scam me.The entire staff was very skilled at what they do, did a great job of explaining to me what they were doing and brought any issues they had to my attention right away. On top of all of that, they are a family run business and I am always trying to support businesses like this! A few years ago we had the good fortune to work with Doug and Chris Brooks when our roof needed to be replaced. Doug worked with our insurance adjustor and helped make the process stress-free.The Brooks were generous with their time. They helped us choose the new shingles by showing us the shingles on houses they previously roofed. They were responsive and professional and followed up on each step.Probably the thing that impressed us the most was their honesty. After the most recent hailstorms and heavy rain Chris and his brother Austin followed up with us. They came out and checked to be sure there was no damage that would be covered by our warranty. Both times there were a few very minor hail dents that did not need repair. They take photos and explain thoroughly.Twice in the past several years we had roof damage from squirrels and both times they came out and repaired quickly for a fair price. Lone Star Roofing saved the day! We found some shingles in our yard after a bad storm, and decided to call Lone Star for an inspection. Jimmy came quick, and performed a detailed inspection. He shared pictures and video of the inspection, explained every detail and answered all my questions. All we needed was some shingles replaced, but Jimmy went above any beyond by sealing every vent, and even painting the flashing. Super nice, 100% professional, Jimmy is top notch! Doug and Chris are awesome to work with! I was recommended by a colleague to use their services to install gutters around the new house. Spoke with Doug over the phone and he took care of everything. His son Chris came right out to survey and coordinated times and availability to review the project and timeline and set clear expectations on what was going to happen. I think it was 10 days from first call with Doug to gutters installed on the house and they look great! The Lone Star team does things right over there, they are professional and ensure quality craftsmanship on their projects. Fast and Clean. After the job was completed my wife and I walked the perimeter to check for nails or trimmings to make sure the dog stays safe, didn’t have to pick up a thing. This was a great, easy, and quick experience and hopefully I don’t have, but if I ever need roofing work, I’ve got your number Doug!

I can definitely recommend Lone Star Roofing & Gutters for replacement of an existing roof. From day one, our project manager, Austin Schellhammer, was professional and responsive to our questions and concerns about replacing our 20 year old roof. Lone Star Roofing & Gutters definitely stood out among the multiple roofing companies that we approached to replace our roof. They met with our insurance company and helped us through that process. Ultimately, our roof replacement was not covered by insurance, but Lone Star Roofing & Gutters made every effort to help us get it covered. Given their outstanding efforts as compared to their competitors in trying to get our roof covered, we felt they were the obvious choice to hire for the replacement.As for the actual replacement of the roof, both the management of the project and the physical replacement of the roof were outstanding. Our roof is considered a complex project. It is very steep, has multiple hips and gables, and required design and manufacturing of custom flashing for an attached pergola. Some competitors would not even bid the project. Lone Star Roofing & Gutters’ owner Doug took the time to actually visit the site along with the project manager to review and design the custom flashing and understand all the details of the roof replacement. This is not the type of owner service you typically see with the big nationwide companies. During the roof replacement, the manager for the sub-contracting company made sure to personally introduce himself and provide his contact number in case there were any issues. In addition, Lone Star Roofing & Gutters’ project manager was on-site during the entire replacement coordinating the process with the suppliers and sub-contractors. I can’t say this is the norm when he is handling multiple houses at the same time, but he definitely was reachable for any questions or concerns. It was nice not having to be the home owner/pseudo site manager for a job I was paying for which is often the case when things are sub-contracted out.We had a couple minor issues during the replacement. A sprinkler head got cracked and the placement of the ridge vents needed to be adjusted. Both items were well within-in what I would consider normal construction events. Lone Star Roofing & Gutters addressed them quickly with no complaints or excuses. Lonestar Roofing & Gutters took ownership of the items and made sure that they were repaired to our satisfaction. In fact, the manager for the sub-contracting company also came to the site to confirm that I was happy with the repairs. This is really how I judge a company. Every company looks good if there are no issues, but it is the really great companies that shine when they are dealing with customer concerns. Given the entire process from start to finish, I would definitely put Lone Star Roofing and Gutters in the great company to work with category.Service: Roof installation

Recently I had my Roof and gutters repaired using Lonestar. In March of 2021, my home received significant storm damage (including Hail). Knowing I needed to have my roof inspected, I called a few local companies to come out and inspect the property. Austin Schellhammer with Lone Star Roofing & Gutters performed the most detailed inspection.Austin Schellhammer walked me through the claims process, explained every detail, and answered all my questions regarding timelines and different options available. He didn't try to upsell and was honest with pricing. He kept me in the loop, providing excellent visibility and Transparency with fantastic customer service, explaining everything to me to make sure I understood the full scope of the project. I hired Marty, Doug and the Lone Star team to do a repair after a heavy rain storm. They were quick to come out and honest with their pricing. Marty inspected the roof and corrected the issue within minutes. He took videos and pictures of my roof and showed me all the trouble spots and suggested I was a candidate for a full roof replacement.Marty walked me through the claims process, talked about timelines and explained all the different options available. He didn't try to upsell anything and was straight with me. His crew came on time and did a good job cleaning up at the end of each job. One of the roofers, CJ, came out today to inspect our roof & attic to see if we need a new roof and he was very honest. He actually recommended me to hold off on paying for a new roof until it's necessary in the next 2-3 years. We had another company come out to do the same a couple weeks ago and they pushed and tried to upsell us with unnecessary material and costs and said our roof was basically falling apart. They negotiated with my insurance to give me the best of the best! Not only did they install the roof, they were able to contract to get all new James Hardie fascia, soffits, and repair rotted rafter tails. New gutters and rain chains are coming next too! I called because I knew we needed help with our gutters. I had no idea that our tree limbs had damaged shingles and that there holes in our roofing and damaged hardware due to raccoons. Doug and Chris were a godsend. They showed me pictures. We received a reasonable and fair estimate for the work and a timeline. Whenever work was scheduled I got a call, if they were running late, I got a call. They were respectful of my time. The work was done well. Doug called after the gutter work to make sure the repair had solved the issue. It had. The shingle replacements blended in perfectly. The holes were repaired and painted. Again we had no idea there were 2 paint colors in those 2 areas where there were holes. Doug and Chris recommended picking the one that was visible. They resealed the hardware and pit things back so the roof system was secure again. We couldn't have been happier with the quality of their work and have complete confidence in recommending their roofing and gutter services to anyone in Austin who wants to protect their investment in their home. Doug I actually know through a mutual hobby. You could just tell the type of person he is even through our limited interactions in the hobby. When I needed a new roof, he was the guy I knew I could trust. He worked directly with me and my insurer to get me a new roof and even corrected the insurers assessment of the roof as they had incorrectly measured the square footage. He helped me pick out the best quality roof in my budget and I couldn’t be happier. Doug and Chris are the upmost professionals and did an amazing job with the roof.
