More rain is in the forecast, so hopefully that will be soon.Having someone come to at least take a look at why it's leaking a second time near the spot of the first leak would be commendable. The first leak was found to be due to poor installation around the chimney. An employee named Kevin has my information. Of course it's understandable that my insurance would be involved if you find damage. To my knowledge, no hail stones have hit my roof since this roof was installed. Surely it should withstand sleet.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------I won't use this roofer in the future. They were friendly, sold me the job, and worked quickly and cleaned up nicely. However, I've had at least 2 considerable leaks in the just 5 years since it was installed. And those are ones that I caught because they were bad enough to result in water pouring through the sheetrock in the ceiling. That tells me all I need to know about their workmanship and quality. I've had roofs in other homes that have lasted 20 years with no leaks.The company tells me now that they are not responsible for repairing the most recent leak because their warranties are 5 years. I know that the standard for most roofers is at least a 10-year warranty. I'm so disappointed in the work quality and accountability of Kent Elliott and will warn other customers who ask me frequently for recommendations to stay away from this business.
