Great news on a beautiful and sunny day! My home is only a few years old, but it has seen a couple of strong hailstorms in its lifetime. Petrus Roofing and Solar installed brand new seamless gutters for me this week. Their website talks about them being an ethical business and this is the absolute truth! Mike came out to give me a quote and thoroughly went over several options for gutter size, downspout size and locations, and gutter color. They were happy to quote multiple options to include and/or exclude portions of the roof. We scheduled the work and the guys showed up right on time. They were fast, efficient and clean. Brian and John detected areas in need of sealing, which prompted a call for a warranty repair to my original roofing company, which will take care of the concern. I have had a great experience with the Petrus Roofing. Petrus Roofing was recommended to us by our neighbor. I saw Petrus Roofing’s excellent work and the use of GAF Manufacturer’s roofing materials on two different houses in my neighborhood. I contacted Petrus Roofing because our roof started to leak after the previous hailstorm. The staff were very polite, helpful, professional, and responsive. Petrus Roofing immediately covered the damaged roof area with tarp to prevent further damage to interior wall. Brian Jones has been very helpful. Brian was with our insurance company home inspector and helped us tremendously during the roof inspection. Also, he helped us obtain zero financing for our deductible. We filed a claim with our insurance company last spring after a storm had moved through our area…but we were denied a new roof, rather, we were offered a little bit of cash for a spot repair. We called Petrus because we had heard great things about them.Charlie and his team went to work for us right away. John met the insurance adjustors at our home three times, walking the roof each time and tirelessly working with our insurance company until the claim was finally approved! Not only did our insurance company approved our home roof, but also our patio and garage roofs. We were so pleased! So grateful to Petrus for staying on top of this.The day of the installation, John and his team arrived before the roofers arrived, making sure we had a clear understanding of what the day would be like…and assured us they would complete the installation by end of day, and they did! Our landscaping was untouched (this was very important to me since we had a bad experience years ago with the former roof job) and we were completely thrilled with our new roof.From start to finish it was a flawless professional and pleasant experience for us…mostly because we didn’t have to do a thing! A dozen roofers knocked on my door after a recent hailstorm. I selected Petrus for numerous reasons.First, good, solid answers to my questions, and when I checked the answers on the Internet, they were correct. Many roofers had a slick sales patter, but couldn’t answer basic roofing questions, or even answered them incorrectly.Second, Petrus is GAF Master certified, which means I get a longer warranty and they use quality GAF products.Third, they they happily worked with me to get particular roofing materials that I wanted, such as a specific type of drip edge, to remove a fake dormer and do some other stuff that seemed to befuzzle other roofers, and without a lot of upcharges like some others.Fifth, very responsive to my texts and emails. I had a lot of questions, and they were very patient with me.Sixth, the owners and managers seem to be solid members of the community and not storm chasers.Finally, they were the only company out of a dozen that didn’t offer to send fake invoices to my insurance company, so I could “get money back in my pocket.“ Although that might be tempting to some people, that is a felony in my state, not to mention that it’s just plain wrong. I figure if a company is willing to cheat the insurance company they’re also willing to cheat me. I prefer to deal with honest folks in business.So that’s why I chose Petrus.As for the work, they did an excellent job. They had a knowledgeable project manager at my house virtually every minute that the crew was here, watching the installation to ensure it was done correctly, and available to answer my questions or address concerns. Almost all roofing companies sub out the actual work to third party crews. I was happy that the Petrus project managers kept a sharp eye on the installation.Overall, a trustworthy company from start to finish.
