This is the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at and I wish we could stay longer. Finished our backpacking trip at Big Bend early. We found this place and called the owner who immediately got back to us with the garden room that we self checked into. In the morning, she made us a delicious breakfast and explored the unique place. The common area inside and out is so peaceful and beautiful. There’s 3 cute dogs and 1 cat. There’s a Catholic Church steps away. I want to come back with friends and family and explore the pool, stargazing area, and gardens more.

Friendly and inviting rooms. The bed and breakfast is conveniently located to restaurants and Big Bend National Park. Alaine, husband and Kate make their guests feel at home. The baked bread and cakes are amazing and easily accessible for all the guests. Breakfast was beyond spectacular, not only great food, but also beautifully plated. We highly recommend Eve's Garden and look forward to staying there again in the future.

From the moment you walk into this oasis you are greeted with warmth, beautiful color, 3 wagging tails belonging to Lady, Fritz, and Dr. Fauci MD 2020, and the most intoxicating smell of citrus trees in bloom (if you come early March). As you walk through the garden to get to your room (all of the rooms are built around the garden, I love this so much) you walk through beautiful trees in bloom and by the most beautiful flowering trees. At the end of the walk is a quiet bubbling fish pond with a turtle, lilly pads and fish. There is a tasty baked good and ice cold beer waiting in the kitchen. The beautiful rooms were literally built by the owners and craftswomenship and craftsmanship are impeccable. My room was the most beautiful shade of blue and had the most stunning glass art work on the ceiling and my bathroom was gigantic and warm and cozy. My only regret about my entire stay was that it was not longer. I don’t know what I loved more, the amazing and delicious home cooked breakfast every morning, the animals on site, or the pool with a disco ball (the room was so calming). The outdoor court yard was so inviting and if I had packed more layers I would have sat out and watched the stars on the roof top terrace. I have traveled extensively, and this is one of the nicest and most memorable places of comfort I have ever stayed.

We stayed here for two nights, the room was very clean and decorated beautifully! The garden is amazing, really enjoyed the back patio and the Mulberry tree that attracted all types of wild birds! We felt very welcome at first but things went south after a conversation with Kate! Let’s just say there is no room for politics when operating a small business where you rely on customers who have different political beliefs. We did not appreciate the passive aggressive behavior. Ditch the anti Abbot bumper sticker left in clear view and the Biden Harris stone turned over on the patio fireplace or clearly state who your target customer is for future guest!Rooms: The bright and beautiful decorations

I give FIVE STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️To Eves Garden Organic Bed & Breakfast in Marathon.I could walk into the garden from our room and go into the guest kitchen, where they had a microwave, air fryer, a cold locally brewed beer tap, coffee, tea, even pickles and food in the fridge. I have a problem sleeping at night, so it was really nice being able to just take my laptop and sit in the garden between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 in the morning and just enjoy the sounds that I posted. It was a very lovely experience.

We stayed here as a base to visit Big Bend National Park. Alaine and Kate were so thoughtful. The rooms were full of character and very clean. They accommodated my gluten free dietary requirements at breakfast and during the day with surprise cookies. I particularly enjoyed their roof-top observation deck for the spectacular night sky.Rooms: The room was wonderful.Nearby activities: Big Bend National Park.

Very beautiful place with friendly people running it! Most importantly, love the cute dogs and cats that make this place feel like home. It is truly one of a kind! My only suggestion to future bookers is to not book to stay here a day you may be completely exhausted. We were so tired from hiking BBNP for a week we didn’t fully get to enjoy it (but definitely enjoyed the amazing nap and comfortable bed!). I was so exhausted I fell asleep before sunset and didn’t get to use the stargazing deck. Also, bring a bathing suit, they have an awesome pool!

We had an incredible meal of individual cooked pizzas in their wood-fired brick pizza, oven. So delicious and so much fun. Thank you so much!

Our family stayed at Eve's Garden Bed and Breakfast at spring break. We loved the place! Beautiful gardens, fabulous rooms and the gourmet breakfast is exquisitely delicious! The hosts are incredibly friendly. We absolutely loved everything about this B&B. It is bohemian chic and colorful with a laid back, tranquil vibe. There is wonderful deck to star gaze and also perfect for watching the beautiful west Texas sunsets. Every room is unique and they are all amazing. Highly recommend this place for something out of the ordinary.

We stayed here three nights while we were hiking at Big Bend. We had such a memorable stay. Sitting outside at night, watching the stars but the fire pit, listening to perfect music to set the folksy country mood. Memories! The staff is amazing. The food was delicious and above our expectations, and the room was quite comfortable and charming.I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Marathon, TX.

We loved our stay at Eve's Garden! We were greeted by Alaine (and her pups!) when we arrived and given a tour around the building. She has a beautiful garden and there are many little spaces to enjoy outside of your room. The kitchen area included breakfast and snacks to enjoy during your stay. Our room was cozy and clean. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking in Big Bend and we cannot wait to stay again in the future!

This place is amazing. You will feel well cared for. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and used it as a base camp for Big Bend. The breakfast is always good, and gives you a strong boost for the day. The people here are friendly, yet know when you want to be by yourself.Fine outdoor area with a fire pit if you like. A small fire table with gas controls. That's just in the courtyard. Inside there's an entire garden. A common area for snacks and refreshments. A small cat. And up a small set of stairs, the sky unobstructed. You can see a car coming 20 miles away.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Eves B&B in March of 2021 for three days. We spent our days at Big Bend National park. Eves was about 1-1.5 hours from panther junction (the main hub in the park) and this was pretty typical for any of the areas you might be staying at to visit big bend (other than if you got a spot in the park hotel or were camping). Eves provided great comfort and relaxation after long days. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and vibrant. We had a bathroom inside our room and although all the rooms lead to the same common area, our room felt private. Alaine and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and very yummy. There were always snacks and refreshments put out later in the day if you got hungry. There was plenty of common space outside so you can star gaze or enjoy the outdoors. Overall we would highly recommend this adorable bed and breakfast, perfect for a little getaway.

My room (Garden room) was cozy and thoughtfully and artistically designed and decorated. It was nice to have the snack room with coffee, ice, tea, breakfast, cookies, etc. Owners friendly and helpful and indoor/outdoor gardens pretty in mornings. Because Marathon is a dark sky site, both the greenhouse courtyard and garden are kept dark at night for incredible stargazing. When not stargazing though it was hard to do anything outside room in the dark and room did not have table/desk. If to return will take camping lantern to use in courtyard at night and learn how to light the fire pit in the garden to be able to spend more time outside room. I was gone at park during days so other than when getting ready to go in morning and enjoying great coffee was only there after dark.

I almost don’t want to review because I want to keep this place all to myself 😅The most stunning place I’ve ever stayed in:The rooms open up to a greenhouse filled with floral trees, a pond, various flowers, succulents, and best of all PETS.The breakfast and snacks were homemade and fresh, we had some form of tartlet every morning and delicious black bean empanadas. The ginger cookies will make you cry of happiness. The building is gorgeous and painted bright colors. there’s multiple common areas, one is up some lovely stairs that leads to a stargazing patio with a beautiful functional sculpture to sit on.The people who run the b&b are beautiful and friendly, the kind of people you want to befriend immediately. Alaine is always available and is just a wonderful host.I loved it here so much and I hate that we have to leave.

We travelled to Marathon in early October and stayed at Eve's Garden B&B for one night. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Eve's Garden was a refreshing change from the typical hotels and B&B's. Eve's Garden is an eclectic mix of sweeping clay/concrete walls and domed roofs painted in purples, yellows, and oranges, with a greenhouse walkway and hanging plants. It is almost hard to describe but beautiful, relaxing, and enjoyable.Alaine made us feel right at home, and our homemade breakfast the next morning was probably the best breakfast that we and our travel companions have had in years! It was truly a feast. We would whole heartedly recommend Eve's to anyone travelling to the Marathon area.We did take the time to visit Big Bend and we were wowed by the beauty. Just wish we'd have had more time to explore, but we'll be back!

We really loved this unique, colorful B&B. They have the best star deck to see a zillion stars. The breakfast was fabulous and the company was excellent. We met the nicest people, including the owners! My husband loved the shower - he's a water guy. My only note is that the bed wasn't great - it was comfortable but just a tad squeaky. We would definitely come back here though.

We arrived on Sunday, Nov.17 after dark and were shown around immediately. They showed us several of the rooms and we loved them all. They are such gracious hostesses and we felt very comfortable. The next morning we had the incredible organic breakfast and talked and visited for a long time. They are perfect for the business they have chosen. The colors, flowers, and decorations are just beautiful and unique. We stayed to take pictures and just enjoy the surroundings for a little longer. This was a terrific experience and the ladies are fantastic. We loved it and will spread the word

My girlfriend and I stayed at Eve's Garden the weekend before Christmas and had a wonderful stay. We reserved the Garden Room for 2 nights and 3 days for a nice getaway before Christmas and to visit Marfa, the surrounding towns and Big Bend.*The B&B* - This was my first time at a bed and breakfast, and I really enjoyed feel, charm, and friendliness of the place. I am somewhat reserved and typically enjoy seclusion when traveling, but the charm of this place really pulled me in and made me more adventurous. I picked this place because I knew my girlfriend would love it, and despite my nature I loved it just as much. The colors are amazing as the photos show, but there is so much more to explore. The interior garden and greenroom, the rooftop lookout, the outdoor fire pit and lounge areas, etc. There is a beautiful indoor lap pool that is heated by a skylight, but in late December we did not go for a swim. Overall the B&B holds that same artistic creative feel of the towns that surround it.*The Garden Room* – A short interior corridor leading from the atrium takes you to the room. The colorful entry to the door has two built in benches on each side and a bougainvillea that lines the ceiling. Our room was a cozy 1 room with a full bathroom and shower(water pressure is the best I’ve seen if that is your thing). It was brightly colored with comfortable furniture and beautifully laid out bed. We had a door that led to a little private patio getaway and a window that looked into the garden atrium. The room size is similar to a typical hotel queen room, but has high vaulted ceilings giving a roomy feel. The ceiling has small circular sky lights that add to the charm. FYI, the bathroom door is more of a swinging style, so understand that is it not airtight or sound proof If you need that.*Service/Amenities* – The service is A+ all around, friendly and helpful in every way. There are three large communal tables in the main B&B dining area where the guests eat. I cannot say enough about the breakfast, it was amazing. These breakfasts were the best I had all year. The pictures do not lie, they are full spreads, super tasty and very thoughtful. They asked about our diets beforehand and I told them my girlfriend was vegan and gluten free(challenging to cook for) but that I would eat anything. Everything was homemade, the breads/juices/jams/entrees/etc. They went all out and I can tell you that the breakfasts alone would be a super fun Sunday breakfast on their own, but would also cost a fair bit of money in your local city. They are another good reason why this place is a such a good deal.*We were looking for a place off the beaten path, with charm, warmth, and kindness, and Eve’s Garden was just the right adventure for us. I give them 5 stars and recommend them to anyone looking for the same!*

The room was extremely comfortable, the bed just the right firmness. I usually have a hard time sleeping the first night in a new place- not here- I slept like a baby. The surrounding gardens are beautiful. And a great courtyard to sit and chat with the hosts and other guests with just the right music playing in the background.Although I don’t make it out to west Texas very often, I’ll for for sure add this to the list of places I’ll return to on a regular basis.

1. It’s both beautiful and funky! The garden itself is a delight. And, like an emergent garden, it is not perfect.2. The architecture is distinctive, very colorful and fun!3. The beds are firm and made for good sleeping and dreaming4. The hosts are gracious.5. I didn’t get to know Kate, but Alaine’s cooking was some of the best and most generous I’ve ever had. Every morning was a gourmet delight.6. The pillows weren’t perfect; too soft. The toilet paper wasn’t perfect; not soft enough.

A delightful stop when in Marathon, Texas, perhaps on your way to Big Bend National Park or other locales. You will not find a more unique, fabulous B&B! Alaine is a wonderful host, the breakfast is spectacular, and the amazing architecture and feel of this special place must be experienced first-hand to truly appreciate. I felt right at home within minutes, cannot wait to return!

We stayed one night in the Lotus room, we checked in a little before 3pm which is nice. The people who run the place are nice and very welcoming. I was not bothered by the cats or dogs at all. It appears that the building is indeed made up of paper adobe/fiber-cement which raises my concern for mold build-up. The room has a moldy smell that the owners probably don’t notice because maybe they are used to it? The smell was so overwhelming that we slept with 3 aromatic candles to make the moldy smell bearable. The windows do not open and the vent in the bathroom did not work, so that makes more humidity. The bed was hard as a rock! And the pillows were not soft either. I did not get a good night of sleep also because the mini split was noisy, for that price I was expecting at least a comfortable bed. The owners could invest in some memory foams and adopt a ventilation system for the rooms…The room as nice touches here and there with wine glasses, wine opener, a fridge, Kleenex box by the bed, extra blanket, books, hair blower, and plenty of towels, the lightening seems to still lack despite the many small lamps throughout. Now, the breakfast, we are health-conscious people limiting carbohydrates/sugar intake. So, waffles are out of question. The scrambled eggs were good, but not organic, they tasted like the egg mixture. I’m a foodie... I know organic food when I see it/taste it. The concept is unique and exciting, but is not there yet… much room to improve… mold-free/ smell-free rooms with comfortable beds and quite AC systems will give this place a huge boost even if they do not improve their breakfast!
