Spent Friday noon through Sat. noon in Marfa, eating, sleeping and seeing the arts.I witnessed numerous tourons skirting the traffic laws, laws that protect you and ours from potentially serious harm.As a rule, the smaller the Texas "Town", the likelier you'll get pulled over if you're not abiding by simple traffic rules.I have zero connection to any law enforcement agencies, but darn I appreciate them being there.By the way, my wife and I encountered Capt. Carrillo, Chief of Police Marfa. He answered all our questions, helped with concerns and laughed with us. (We were passing through during eclipse weekend.)Our next visit will be longer for sure.

Horrible experience. The town is nothing but speed traps with the local police department trying to scam tourists out of money. You will see someone pulled over by law enforcement on every street in this place. Don't waste your time coming here, you are better off visiting Fort Davis or Alpine if you are in the area
