I went to a few places while in Marfa and this was probably the best spot IMO for a drink. Nice beer garden and cool atmosphere. Friendly staff and the food was good too. (For bar food. :) )The only disappointment was the pool table. But oh well.

Had a blast here! We came by at night to grab a bite to eat and visit the bar. The food was pretty good for a bar and the vibe was so nice. Loved the teepee and the seating areas. While we came to eat, they had a karaoke event going on and we loved it. Very nice people and locals. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Marfa.

I heard a rumor Paul Simon was there .I didn’t see him but I had a blast. The bartenders lost someone’s credit card or at least they thought they did …. It was the patron fault …yet they sincerely spent 20 min helping them look for it.I love this place. It’s quirky … feels like a movie.

Great chill spot for both locals and visitors to Marfa. One of the only places open earlier in the day it was nice to relax at the bar and chop it up with some locals and the bartender.The kitchen was closed when we stopped in for lunch but the bartender made us some chips & salsa which was nice.Definitely more hopping when we stopped in at night. They have a stage for live music and a full kitchen.Definitely plan to kick it here for a drink or two at least when in Marfa.

I had the pleasure of coming here twice this week while visiting from Florida. I have had a million beers in a million bars, and Planet Marfa is by far the coolest one of them all. If I could pick my Groundhog Day, sipping a Hopadillo IPA in the spring West Texas sun at Planet Marfa would be it.

Very cool place!! We absolutely loved the quirky cool space. So many places to explore, lounge, and have fun. Pool, ping pong, the ring game, a neat bus, a rooftop bar, teepee, and more! Only a few people there, sitting at the bar.When I saw it described on the map of nearby places as a beer garden I got excited... just as a fyi to anyone else who sees "beer garden" and is looking/hoping for semi local craft beer - it's an outdoor dive bar that carries domestics and a few distributor pushed macros like karbach. Once I realized what it was, I changed my mindset, ordered a shiner, and enjoyed the atmosphere!

One of my favorite bars in the world. Almost totally outdoors, but intimate, varied seating options surrounding the central circular bar. Great tunes and sound system. Good vibes, staff and clientele. Nicholas and Anissa’s bomb-tastic fried chx sando popup last month or so on Wednesday’s sometimes Thursday’s too. Love this place. Plus an old school bus and full size teepee with bunker. No need to enjoy some drinks anywhere else.

The barmaid seemed to be pre-occupied with regulars, a bit anti-social with new comers. It might have even been me being an a-hole. The drinks were well maid, the tequila and bottled beer was good. The nachos were greasy, too expensive and I’d never order them again. Overall, this place was Meh, if I wanted a watering hole, sure but I’d not eat here.

I don't know all of the watering holes in Marfa, but I know this one is 🔥🔥! Exactly what you want a funky, Marfa, watering hole to be. Plenty of games and seating to go along with the cool vibe. We loved it!!

Stayed in Marfa and stopped here for some beer and Nachos.Cool place!Also, my wallet fell out of my pocket when I was sitting in one of the chairs. I realized it in the morning when they were closed and was in a panic.I called out to the guy cleaning up through the fence in the morning. He said he found my wallet when he was cleaning that night. I got my wallet back and the couple hundred dollars that was still in it. I was amazed by the honesty and gave him a reward.What a relief, thank you!

Of all the places I visited in town, Planet Marfa is the most aptly named and seemed to represent the flavor of the town in the most radiant and realistic light. There was Tejano music blaring as locals danced to the positive vibes, like a sonic expression of the smiley happiness that fans of Tejano appreciate. There was a dog sitting at the bar, like he'd been there more than once as regular. A beautiful and moody artist bartender zipped around, performing her hospitable magic, and scores of diverse thespians milled about, playing parlor games and getting wasted. God bless Planet Marfa 🙏

Outdoor space has a variety of random places to sit and enjoy a drink including, a teepee, a bus, roof patio, and small more private tables. Folks there were mostly in town visiting, not a lot of local traffic. The decor and vibe of the space felt very fabricated and unnatural.Service was a good, bar wasn't very busy. They have food there but the kitchen was closed during our visit. Easy to find and parking available. Would recommend for a beer, good music playing and they have ping pong tables.

This place is super chill and has a great vibe, but the food is not good. We first ordered chips and salsa that came from a bag/jar. Then, I ordered the beef tacos and it was bland and flavorless. Zero seasoning on the meat or potatoes. It seemed like they just threw pre-packaged items together and called it a day. Absolutely not worth the $12. We paid $4 extra for a sprinkling of bland ground beef on each taco.The tipi is really cool and my kids enjoyed playing ping pong down there.

A beautiful oasis, with cheap bottles, and fantastic music. Planet Marfa will also delight you with an array of games and ample seating choices all wrapped in West Texas charm. I hope to return soon.

Great little place to hang out with friends and have a few drinks. Wine and cocktails available as is macro brews. No craft beer sadly. 2 levels of seating both covered and open air. Heat lamps for cool nights also available. Nice staff, well run place. Nifty vibe and casual chill feel to it. One of the most hoping spots we saw in town over 4 days. Fun times. Wish they have more craft beer is all.

This was one of the coolest bars I’ve been too. Even though it was a cold night, they had plenty of heaters and the tepee was warm and cozy. The staff was nice and the drinks were strong! Would highly recommend for your trip to Marfa. It was one of the places that made the 6.5 hr drive from Austin worth it!

This was a great place to grab a drink and nachos/hot dogs. There are some really interesting places to eat and socialize. The best part is the upstairs deck and the teepee. Overall the place wasn't super kid friendly (it's a bar after all) but interesting and was a nice blend of locals and tourists.
