UPDATE Nov 2023: May 2023 we got hit with hailstorm (2d for this house) and total of four since moving to TX in 1979. We must be storm magnets. Anyway we went with KC for this hailstorm job and very glad we did. After we got the insurance appraisal we called them on scene. They did their inspection with a drone and contacted the insurance company. Final note Kangaroo Contractors got us a 58% bump in initial claim adjustment review. The adjuster left out a bunch of valid costs which Kangaroo got us the money. Sweet!!! The roofing crew is sub-contractor but follows the GAF Master Roofer Standards. The invoice was very detailed in what they would/would not do. So we had a signed contract before starting work. Weather permitting we a done with hailstorms forever but would call KC again. And for other remodeling jobs as well as the 25+ year old house ages. UPDATE Nov 2020. We have lost count of the number of home improvement/remodeling jobs KC has done for this house. The latest was to replace four outside doors after 22 years of use and wear and tear. The work was well planned and completed in short order. I have already told them of 2021 projects. We have been using their services for many years. They are my first choice for home repairs beyond my skill level. Especially if it means getting above the first floor outside or on the roof. Window cleaning, sun shade screening, fence repairs, minor plumbing, tile flooring and attic insulation are many things they have done over the years. Most recent was repairs following a hail storm. They did the finish work by painting the entire house and fixing broken window frames and screens. If they can't do it Kangaroo can provide an excellent referral. UPDATE Dec 2018 Repairs completed in an excellent manner due to leaking roof damage in family room. Fixed sheet rock and repainted. Also replaced/repaired worn faded trim on roof area and installed better turbo wind vanes for attic. UPDATE May 2016. And they did another great job on master bathroom. Not as extensive as kitchen but still well done. UPDATE Aug 2015. They finished a great remodeling job on kitchen; new everything except cabinets which didn't need change. We had an excellent experience with Kangaroo Contractors, they washed our home's windows inside and out. They were responsive when I first called them, managed to give a quote over the phone (I knew the number of our home's windows and sq. ft.) and assigned an excellent, kind, and dedicated person to do the job. He came on time, followed what was requested in the quote -- concerning cleaning the window tracks and well -- completing the job in a timely manner. Kangaroo Contractors and project manager Rob Sielert are excellent to work with. It is the second time they’ve helped me, this time replacing the roof and related hail damage. I especially appreciated knowing exactly what happens and when and being told to move my car out of the garage so I wouldn’t be penned in by the trucks. Rob made sure everything in the attic remained intact after the new roof was on, personally walked the property for leftover debris and met with the insurance adjuster to make sure they both agreed the extent of damage. They cleaned and restained the fence to look like new. It was so nice to have one person overseeing the project with teams they work with all the time. Very disappointed with the service I received. The gutter cleaner left debris all over my yard. I called and they came out and got some of it. Then I had an issue with how much they removed as my gutters still had items in it. I called and asked for a manager. The girl on the phone was extremely rude when she found out I had an issue. I asked when I should expect a call back and she told me she had no idea. 3 days later I was able to find the email address of the manger or owner. He was extremely unhelpful and gave off the impression that he did not care about my concerns for either the debris on the yard, the girl who was rude on the phone, or the left over debris in my gutters. The entire process was extremely unprofessional and frustrating. My mother had a similar experience of non responsiveness as well, which was how I was able to obtain the man’s email who is either the manager or owner. Worst service I’ve received on a job in years.Service: Gutter cleaning

Kangaroo Contractors did excellent work. They came out within a day of calling them - did a GREAT inspection - saw a few things that we didn't even realize and recommended a fix. They fixed a leaking vent on our roof, took down an old "direct TV" dish (repaired the roof), and installed a new and much better dryer vent. We didn't realize the dryer vent was so bad - they really saved us on that one. We approved their estimate and they were there in a few days and got everything done. Excellent service from the very beginning until completion of job. They handled all billing with Insurance company. Besides the roof replacement, the claim entailed interior painting and Sheetrock repairs. Also replaced patio doors, sun screens, gutters and downspouts. Excellent work, highly recommended! After a severe hailstorm, they replaced my roof, gutters, and some windows, and they also repaired and re-stained my fence. In all areas, they were fast, efficient, on-schedule, and highly skilled. I liked their work so much that I also had them install new gutters all around my house -- which also turned out great! Ward and his crew are always prompt, professional, and considerate of the property. Kangaroo's work is top notch! Never had a problem with any of the work so I can't say anything about follow up because its not needed. While roofing most of the houses in my neighborhood, I noticed Kangaroo was the only roofer who made sure that his workers needs were met for water and facilities. Happy workers do better work!9/2020 Big project by Ward and David. David came out and was always courteous and worked well with his crews. Finished much quicker than expected. The only drawback was they showed up at 7 AM on Monday morning. I didn't expect them so early. It got done in one day! Big roof. Neighbors immediately were commenting on how good it looks.

Kangaroo Contractors does great work. They are honest, timely, and their attention to detail is second to none. They have replaced my roof, remodeled my master bathroom as well as a secondary bathroom, and repaired and refinished my hardwoods when my dishwasher leaked. I would not consider having any other contractor work on my home. Kangaroo is the only contractor I recommend.

My wood staircase up to the main attic was loose and deteriorating and they replaced it with a sturdy, high quality, easy to use aluminum one. There was never a time when a contractor showed up at my home unannounced. The work was well supervised and the sub contractors were all outstanding. The clean up was also done very well.
