I'll start by saying the process and experience with Tilson was amazing. We are very happy with our home overall. It is quality built and they were able to accommodate a lot of customization that we wanted... However, I would not work with them again solely based on the fact that they work exclusively with Kent Moore cabinets... At least they did when I built. Kent Moore is the lowest and crappiest quality I have seen. I am EXTREMELY unhappy with our cabinetry and I was pretty much left with "this is as good as it will get" after several rounds of having them come out to "fix" issues... I will eventually rip it all out and have a different cabinet company come in... It's a lot of time and money out of my pocket because Tilson chooses to work with a known low quality cabinet maker... Just read some of Kent Moores reviews on yelp... Horrible. It makes no sense seeing how the rest of Tilson stuff is quality and their work was quality.

They built our beautiful home for us. Our dream house. It is simply amazing. But the bank has decided they have a problem financing as they agreed. Point is, Tilson has been extremely patient thru this ordeal and we couldn't be more grateful and blessed that they just want us to live in our home. I can't thank them enough. So as we still wait or sue the bank, they are there patiently waiting. Not sure how long but we are doing the very best we can to get something going. And Cheyanne at the Melissa Tx office is a pro. Go let her help you build your dream home. Thank you so much Cheyenne and Tilson! We look forward to moving into our wonderful home soon.Service: Garage design & building

I am so happy with my Tilson home. My experience was awesome. My house turned out to be cutest house ever. My neighbor's comments were "The Tilson builders knocked it out of the park" A huge thanks to Nidia Vega for helping select the floor plan, colors etc. everything essentially and Mitchell Porter the builder for ensuring quality work and on time finishing. I highly recommend this team out of the Melissa location.

If you want a great home, experienced staff, a virtually a stress free experience, then I highly recommend you go to Tilson Homes in Melissa. My property was in Navarro county, but I was living in Collin county at the time. They build just about EVERYWHERE and make the process so easy. You pick a floor plan and then you can customize it the way you want. They also keep your budget in mind when recommending options. They explain the process and have tons of patience and understand YOU! If i ever build another home, there is no question that I will use Tilson again.

We had an amazing experience with Tilson! In the design phase, we were able to move walls, windows, plumbing, etc, and design the perfect house for us, at NO extra cost. And believe me, I made a TON of changes!! The standard features are very nice, and if we chose to upgrade or add anything, they were quick to tell us the extra cost that would incur. The integrity and attentiveness of the staff in every department is amazing! The "after move-In" warranty and service is unheard of!! Every little cosmetic flaw was remedied for free for a full year after we moved in! There weren't any mechanical issues to call them for, but if there had been, they would have been out there in a flash! Our electric bill is less than a smaller home we lived in... so efficient. And the temperature inside the house is perfect all the time. I can't say enough about this company!

The Tilson in McKinney was such a welcoming place. My husband and I felt instantly welcomed and at ease. The two homes there are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is super friendly, especially Cheyanne- who was fabulous to work with. She is on her game and is super responsive, even with ALL of our questions. We are excited to go back. It’s over 90 minutes for us, but it was well worth the drive.

I registered client prior to our visit and was there at first meeting and during planning stage. After several months in, Builder rep told buyer to take me off contract for a better price. I have papertrail, ample proof and even reached out to reps boss, ownership, corporate, etc. They dont care. REALTORS BEWARE and BUYERS RUN-unethical and illegal.

We have had a long process to get our house going with dealing with the city and county but finally the house is finished and couldnt be more happier with Tilson. Nidia Vega has been a tremendous help in so many steps of the process and Mitchell Porter the builder has been great. I never knew what went into building a home but would use Tilson again to build again in the future!

Let me start by saying I love our home. It is definitely a dream but the process was not easy. Let me start by saying I have over 25 years in the industrial/commercial construction industry. I have built everything from paper mills to high rise office buildings. So here is my issue with Tilson homes. The superintendent (GC) responsible for building my home either did not or could not visit the site enough. My home was built on property that I already owned and lived on. I was at the house everyday from day 1. I was able to catch many issues that needed to be corrected before the GC ever knew it was a problem. I'm not going to list all the corrections that were needed. That would be too much. 99% of the corrections needed were due to lack of Craftsmanship. Most contractors do an OK job not all do a great job. I would report to the GC anytime I found a problem. I would take pictures and eventually they would get fixed. The GC stated he had 10 homes going at one time. This meant that a once a week visit was all I was going to get at best. The job took a lot longer waiting to get corrections made. I thought every time a contractor finished his task the GC should have been there to inspect the work. NOT! I think the roofers and the electricians were the only contractors I did not find issues with. I am a Master Electrician and worked closely with those guys. The bottom line is this: GC not on the job enough, but he was pleasant and easy to work with. The contractors (not Tilson employees) don't show much pride in their work or their skills are marginal. The finish product was great but the final presentation was horrible. The cleaner was horrible. I spent many hours trying to clean up after him. I expected the house to be turned over showroom ready. NOT! I would use Tilson again but I would not turn my eyes away for too long

Have to give 2 stars for how NICE the rep was to us, otherwise I would have given a 1 star rating tops.We went with full intent of using this builder. But very quickly decided to find a TRUE custom builder who uses quality materials and contractors.Just looking st their "models" closely made me realize how shoddy the work is. At a glance everything looks great....but close inspection proves otherwise.If quality is what you are looking for, then look elsewhere. Plus too many unknown costs, like foundation, etc....Again, if you are looking for a well built home with quality materials and quality craftsmanship for your FAMILY, THIS IS NOT the right builder for you.Be warned.

Have been to a different Tilson parks and they are all very friendly and helpful, and the quality on the homes is what set them apart from other builders, I will definitely build my dream home with Tilson once we are ready, We will be building the San Jacinto plan Nidia has designed for our family.

Terrible quality, have low expectations. Their subs will also trash the neighborhood, so your neighbors won't be happy! Trash is everywhere all the time, wind or not respect people's property and manage your people!

Unfortunately I live in Oklahoma so they can't build for me but I stop by to look at the rockwall every now and then. The staff is super friendly and welcoming every time I stop by even when they know i cant use them. Wouldn't hesitate to use them to build The Rockwall if I could.
