My wife and I wanted to add some cabinets our home we just recently purchased and do some pretty custom stuff. We reached out the Sean, owner of SCS Contractors, and are very glad we did. Update:Sean's communication was never great. I never knew when he planned to arrive. By the end of our time together he treated me more like a wife that was nagging at him than a paying customer. Before he would leave the job he sat down and said that I had to leave a five-star review before he would leave. I'm content with my kitchen, it's a great improvement to what it was. I'm happy with it. But there are a lot of little things that are frustrating when you pay someone to do something and to do it correctly. I've tried contacting him a few times over the few weeks since he completed the project. I still have one tile that does not have grout around it, and the painting jobs are not great. The window sills look awful. They should have really been replace instead of painted over. The drop in lights were never cleaned and one is now flickering. I have no clue how to fix that. The paint is not blended in some of the areas and the cut in lines are awful. And for some crazy reason they cut a hole around the backing plate of my thermostat. I've attached photos of that show the good and the bad.Sean and his team did a great job. They turned my brown 1960s kitchen into my dream kitchen!

First job hired for was great. So I hired again 10 months later and started off well paid $12,500 as agreed upon but then got Ghosted! Didn't even finish the first Bathroom and never started on the main bathroom. Had to hire a different Contractor to pick up where they left off and complete the job. I easily wasted about $1,500 and I guess from how my many texts were ignored this business is not interested in you once they see you won't have any further projects to bring em.Service: Home renovations

SCS Contracting did a pool house/garage conversion for us into an in-law suite, including master bedroom and ADA compliant bath, closet, laundry room, reading nook, entry way and a second guest bath. He did various customizations, outside the original quote and was very fair. He and his crew did great work and I would recommend them and use them for any future projects.

Took an idea of a want to them and they went well above what you would normally expect, making sure I understood what needed to happen and the why’s behind it all the while being super friendly and personable. When we hit a bump in the process they stepped up and worked to help me resolve it instead of just dumping it in my lap with a you need to resolve this then talk to us. Sean did a great job installing drywall and matching the texture for our garage wall and master bedroom. He repaired sections of the walls that had to be removed due to water damage. He showed up on time, was very respectful and polite, communicated well throughout the project, and was priced very reasonably. He also cleaned up the work area when he was done. Sean and his various crews performed an extensive rennovation on a 5,000+ sqft house that we purchased as a foreclosure. The work was complicated and the timelines were tight but SCS came through and delivered to our expectations. Sean was sensitive to our needs and did not stop until we were entirely satisfied. We would recommend SCS to anyone trying to get a big job (with lots of moving parts) performed in as simple a way as possible.

Good is not the right word, needs to be Outstanding, Top Tier, Great, Fantastic.We have used them for a few jobs now and he has came in clutch every time we have needed him. First was last year with a water leak from a fridge line that ended up damaging some sheet rock among other items. We were in the middle of repairs on other items, and needed some sheetrock/texture repairs done. Sean came out, did a look through and knew exactly what we needed to do for repairs. It had ran under the wall to our entry way so it damaged two sides and a corner with a cove; not a lot but not exactly a simple repair. He not only got to us fast working within our schedule of the week, but him and his crew knocked out the full repair in one day plus matching our particular difficult textured type.We are now getting our house ready to sell and needed some poorly repaired wall damage from previous owners and new from life with kids taken care of. He had his guys come make those repairs for us as well and again can’t even tell the damage was there. The biggest part of this is we had some trim that had been messed up by animals, and is not easily found. He took the time searching for the same trim we have so that the repairs all match as with selling and wanted it to be all done right. He searched all over until he was able to finally find some so we could get that done as well, a step far above and beyond. I wish I had take pictures to show what it was to what it is now to show the quality in the work.He is truly a great contractor and company to work with who relates to the owner not just the pay day. That is rare these days, he had the understanding that when things like this happen it’s about helping not about the money. We have several more jobs on the horizon with the new house and absolutely will use him for our work. All of your hard work and dedication to the task at hand is beyond grateful.
