If I could give 0 stars I would. I am inquiring about building a new steel building on my property.Jake Kaplan called me this morning and asked when I would be ready to build. My response “ I need to know a price before I even think about building” in a little bit of a snarky. I own a construction company and that would be like me starting a project and giving a price at the end. Is response well steel prices go up every 3 weeks so have a nice day and hangs up on me!

Great experience delivering steel coils here, they’re very kind and overnight parking is welcome. I got a driver goody bag with snacks and cold water as soon as I arrived! 10/10

Steve with Southwest Buildings is Top Notch, always did what he said, stayed on top of the entire process and helped me many times with questions. Southwest makes a Quality product and stands behind there manufacturing all the way. I would Never use anyone else!!

Incredibly rude on their cold call. I'm looking for the best price for a building. They just want to sell you a I-beam and tell you everything else is c***. Incredibly rude and hung up on me before discussing any options.

Great communication from start to finish. Johnny listened to our needs and adjusted quickly. The crews were a pleasure to have on site. Everything happened according to schedule, despite a few challenges with the weather. I am very pleased with the results and would use their services again without hesitation for any future needs. The project manager answered all our questions from start to finish and gave us honest updates on the timeline. Initially contracted with an independent guy, who pulled off the project last minute. Called Southwest and they had a drawing for approval and bid to us very quick. They dealt with us undoing the first contractor and got the documentation done easily. Totally professional group who built a high quality building! Site was clean and work finished timely.

The previous builder promised to build a shop at a very low price; he poured the slab, and put up some beams (which were substandard). Then he never return.Southwest steel came in and saved the day! They put up my shop in less than a month at great price. professional attitude, and checking in with me along the way (thanks Johnny Kirby). I would HIGHLY recommend Southwest Steel!

We were looking to move our nursery business from Lindale to Mineola, TX. Our plan was to build a retail store, warehouse and shipping dock. After getting bids and meeting with several steel building manufacturers and builders, we made the choice to move forward with Soutwest Steel.I had never built a metal building before - just standard wood structures. I knew we needed someone that could assist us in thinking beyond just the shell of the building and the rough out. Thankfully, Johnny Kerby was the right man for the job. He was able to see our vision of the final product, and work backward to provide the right buildings to meet our needs.I highly recommend these folks for any project you might have.

Jake emailed me and before I had time to read it, he called me. When I told him I didn't have land yet, he abruptly interrupted me and said he couldn't help me and hung up suddenly. We talked for maybe 30 seconds! So rude and unprofessional. I gave him an unscheduled moment out of my day and and an opportunity and he treated me like that? I would never do business with Jake (I hope he is not the owner of this establishment)!

WE JUST KEEP COMING BACK!! Our latest room addition is the best! Our first time to use Southwest Steel Buildings was to put soffits (covering the open beams) on both porches. BTW, we didn't know this until it was too late, but Southwest Steel Buildings does this automatically! The second time was to build a little barn for my tractor with a covered porch for the trailer. So when we decided to add on to our house, we did not hesitate to call John Kirby! (We also built our home inside a metal building.) He said it could be done, made some suggestions and made it happen! I recommend Southwest Steel Buildings every chance I get!!

Salesman called asked when install building. told him depends on price why i requested price and he hangs up. so called back and goes to voice mail. Only interested in pushing you to buy if you dont want to give a quote take off your web site.I called the number person answered i asked is this southwest steel buildings or southwest steel factory. He replied same thing.
