I wholeheartedly recommend JB Crawford Construction! Thanks to Jake and Emily Crawford and their wonderful team, I am now living in my dream home. I worked with a high school friend to draft the house plans while Jake and Emily both assisted me in selecting the best options for myself and my budget.While I had definite ideas for some features, there were other items that just didn’t matter to me - like the kitchen backsplash. I just told Jake I liked something a little shiny and not all white. With those vague instructions, he came up with a gorgeous design that I absolutely love. Emily was also essential in helping me finalize interior selections for the flooring, paint, granite, lighting, etc.The work of their entire crew and their contractors is top notch! I would not hesitate to build again with this company as they build the most solid and beautiful homes and work with you throughout the entire process. I feel like not only do I have my dream home, but I’ve also made some really good friends along the way.

We found our home with JB Crawford construction about half way through the build. From that point forward, these guys completely let us take the lead and customize our new home. Flooring, electrical fixtures, all bathroom showers, toilets, sinks, paint, cabinet design, hardware for all drawers, cabinet doors, door handles, kitchen sink, added a fence for our dog, storage shed, and sprinkler system. The entire staff is courteous and cares about your satisfaction with their work! Crawford Construction not only builds a rock solid, fabulous home, they are so good to work with and outstanding people! I would give them a million stars if I could!

Wow! The remodel that we were wanting could not have went better. Jake, Emily, and their staff were so accommodating, and organized! They have an online system that keeps us connected with our smart phones! This software kept us in the loop with the schedule, upcoming selections, communication, and even had the budget at our fingertips! Crawford Construction was so transparent, we knew we could trust them to be fair in a remodel, cost-plus type job that you hear horror stories about. The quality of construction from the level of detail in the exterior air and vapor sealing, to the wood working craftsmanship of their in-house cabinet builders, was phenomenal! That day began a 10 month journey of survival and recovery as Victor slowly began healing from a spinal cord injury. We are in love with our forever home that J.B. Crawford Construction built for us! Jake is the best. He helped us with everything, from the house plans, choosing the perfect location, to every last detail. I never once stressed about the whole process. He made it that easy. His crew really is the best! From the concrete pouring, building the frame, custom built cabinets, and painting. They were so friendly and really cared about what we wanted. There really isn't anything they can't do. His wife Emily is the best when helping with the interior part. She helped me so much with choosing our flooring, fixtures, countertops, sinks, and so much more. She was always ready to help and answer questions. Jake ALWAYS answered our phone calls and was on the job site frequently. In our opinion they are the BEST homebuilder in Nacogdoches County. We have not a single complaint with this company and would use them again in a heartbeat! We actually miss them after the project was finished!

Very shady company when it comes to people who are not from Nacogdoches (and of a different race, my opinion) I had a contract with them to close on a house Jan 22, 2021. I moved to a hotel in Nacogdoches in Dec, waiting on the house. Which was not completed as of Jan 19th. Because of covid appraisers were very backed up. The only day we could get an appraisal was Jan 22, they refused to extend the contract to get the appraisal back (4 business days) We asked their agent Amber Jolly several times for 2 weeks the reason they wouldn’t extend and she continued to say she didn’t know why. Which was actually a lie, they had taken a backup offer from a friend they wanted to buy the house. If they had told us at the beginning of that 2 weeks we would have walked away. But we didn’t at that point hoping to get someone to cancel a appraisal and add us. But we would not have taken that chance if we knew there was a solid backup offer. But they held it out till almost Jan 22 to tell us about the backup offer. They also were very nice about everything until THE DAY they met us. As a non white family, in a 80% white town. I think that was also a problem. We moved half way across country with 2 kids, 3 dogs, stayed in a hotel room for a month, my kids didn’t have Christmas because they wanted to have it in the new house and ended up having to terminate the contract over 4 days that they wouldn’t extend. We were supposed to close on Dec 22, but the loan was taking time and they were NOT done with the house. So even if the loan had not taken longer we would have had to wait on them to finish the house which was not done as of Jan 19th(I have photos of them still working on the house that week). If you are an outsider to this family or this town I would not work with this company.UPDATE to their responce: it’s actually everything I said about the contract part of it except I said the first closing date was dec 22, not 23. But as you can see in the responce she made she then wrote we were to close on 22 and extended it a month. And I’m sorry it may not be a friend of theirs but it is a friend of the realtor. Also if your paying 1100.00 a month in interest why would you not extend 4 business days instead of starting the process again and waiting longer then 4 days. As for the money back, in contract the house was to be done by Dec 22 and a survey was to be sent to us by Jan 15, which we asked for and didn’t receive. They were actually the ones who sent a release of funds to me before we even decided to terminate contract with them. We can agree to disagree.
