Description of work:Hail damaged 2 slopes of roof. Jim from Hometown, doing theroof next door, asked his project manager Stella to come and knock on my door to allow Jim access to our roof. We had just had our roof turned down by our insurance company a few months before so I was not interested. He persisted and I relented. He told me the shingles on my roof had recently stopped being produced so the insurance company would have to replace the entire roof. With that information I gave him a copy of my previous claim and told him he could try but I was leaving town and left the WHOLE process in his hands.Gone for two weeks I returned to find out it was all taken care of. Now the process began. First thing was due diligence on Hometown, checked out perfect. Jim Otis is one of the most trusted, customer oriented contractors I have encounter. He knows the process better than most adjusters, bank inspectors and certainly he is a strong advocate for the homeowner.The bank where we had our mortgage did not make it easy.Nothing about roof replacement is exciting or rewarding unless you keep your eye on the ball, “your new roof.” Jim and the entire Hometown crew made it as easy as it could get.The work began, it’s messy, noisy and the crew worked long hours. We found the crew to be polite and tried very hard to clean up best they could at the end of each day. The best decision we made was to hire Hometown.Getting a new roof is like a root canal: necessary, unpleasant, painful during the process and when it’s over a great relief. Jim and his crew did a great job, worked hard and the finished product is gorgeous. Best of all no leaks, no call backs to fix problems.

Our roof was badly damaged in the hail storm, this spring. We called many roof companies to look at our hail damage and finally we settled on Jim the owner of hometown roofing. He was very genuine and had a was lots of fun to talk to. He's tells it how it is, and doesn't give you then run around.After we talked to Jim his guys came out and within a day or two they had given us a completely new roof. Very efficient operation and i highly recommend them!

I called Jim Otis for a roof estimate and I'm glad I did. He is highly motivated, experienced and personable. He walked me through the options and I decided on the lifetime GAF Timberline shingles with the Z-Ridge which I recommend because it looks great. The crew started at 6:30am and worked hard till the rain came. They finished promptly the next day and did a fine job cleaning up when they were done. Hometown Roofing, LLC recently put a new roof on my moms home after a hail storm. I worked with a man named John Bloom who made everything super easy. I had never had to deal with this before as a somewhat newer home owner. John explained how everything worked and was very patient with all my questions. My mom is a single mom with one income and he made it possible for her to get this done. He started by jumping up on the roof and taking pictures and showing me exactly where the problem areas were and why. John made it clear during the whole process if I had any problems or additional questions I could call or text at anytime. He gave me background of the company and info where I could do research on them at anytime. When it was time for the roof to be done, the guys that came out were very polite and respectful. They were also respectful of my neighbors. They were hired to stain our fence, replace our gutter system, replace our screens, and replace our roof including skylights.  They finished the job in one day and everything was cleaned up before they left with no trace of them. I would recommend this company to family, friends or anyone looking for exterior work to be done.

When that terrible Tornado went through Rockwall last year, my roof was heavily damaged by debris from the storm. It was so bad that we had to use a tarp to cover part of our roof. We were not as bad off as others during that storm, but we were really desperate since our bedroom was exposed to the elements.We called Jim, and he came out the next morning to access the damage. We thought that it would be really expensive for us. But Jim told us that our insurance would cover the cost of the roof. His company handled all the insurance issues and within a few days we had a brand new roof over our heads.Thanks A lot Jim!You're a life saver!

Last winter I was living with my best friend Caleb, and his sister when a terrible tornado went through rowlett and heavily damaged his House. They were panicking because they had no place to stay since their roof was heavily damaged by the storm.I decided to help them out by finding a Roofing contractor, and finally settled on Hometown Roofing. Everyone else we called was overworked from all the storm damage. But fortunately Jim, had an opening for us that week.Caleb didn't have any money and he had no idea how he would pay to fix the roof. They literally thought that they would have to move out.Jim came and reassured us that we had nothing to worry about since our insurance fully covered the damages.A few days later his crew came out and fully repaired our roof. We came home that day and where so happy to finally be home after such a terrible disaster.

For the past several years I have had to call a plumber in a couple times a year to clean out the sewer line due to roots growing in same. Contracted with Hometown Roofing in December of 2019 to remove and dispose of all of the old antiquated underground cast iron sewer line piping. A couple of months ago the sewer line started backing up again and I thought the worst . Reported it to Hometown Roofing who immediately dispatched the sub-contractors that were involved in the original job who took the time to come on site to investigate which just ended up being an education on my part (they did what they were supposed to do/the issue was with the remaining clay piping that started where the new line ended in the back yard for about 15 feet to the city sewer connection in the alley which is a totally separate smaller job). Thanks guys for being honest and on the ball!!
