I had the fortune of meeting Mr. Ray Hoot from EDR Roofing in an isle of a gas station in Katy - TX, in a middle of the ‘very hot’ summer of 2023, and he did not waste time to introduce me his business of roofing; within a short exchange of words, he offered me a free roof inspection, based on a recent hail event in my subdivision. In less of two weeks, I ended of having a new roof, whereas Mr. Hoot was very instrumental and diligent in dealing with:my insurance company, the field inspector, the approval, the repairing work and the cleaning. His personnel work around the clock to complete the work on time, despite the extreme heat. We have been fighting our insurance company for at least 6 yrs to get our roof replaced. We had significant hail damage but the insurance kept denying our claims. It was very frustrating seeing our neighbors around us getting their roofs replaced due to the same hail damage except us. We almost gave up until one of our very good friends referred us to EDR Roofing. Tyler Balaszi went above and beyond to get our claim approved after 6 long years fighting with our insurance. Tyler is amazing and was on top of our claim the entire time. He was there during the whole process and was easy to get a hold of when we had any questions. These guys did such a great job working with me and my crazy schedule. I travel for work and almost every contractor always has issues on why they can’t work with me because I won’t be home. EDR was different. Vaughan was there to meet with the insurance adjuster when I was out of town and also there again for the install. Wow!!! I have never had such great roofing service!! A friend down the street recommended Christian Turner with Elite Disaster Recovery and he was fabulous! He was prompt, reliable and thorough. He met up with my insurance adjuster to walk the roof to make sure they saw all my damages. He then stayed in contact with them to followed through with the claim until it was paid. The roof crew was also very quick. They put up my new roof in one day. I did see some nails around their property after they finished, but Christian was great when he came back to inspect everything at the end. The roof looks great!

We have State Farm for ours insurance and been fighting with them to get our roof replace. Chrisen explained the process and took care of everything from A-Z for us. Our house has flowerbeds everywhere and I expressed my concern that they might get damaged during the replacement process. Chrisen made sure his crews protected all the flowers with minimal damage. Mr. Ray Hoot was the fellow that decided to stop by after I seen him giving an inspection to a neighbor down the road. I told him what I needed, and he delivered it. What is nice, EDR was putting a roof on across the road from me before I signed any contract. I seen and approved their workmanship which, to me, was very professional, they cleaned up very well, and best of all, took pictures of the work actually being done which was is additional note. Mr. Jerry Davis knocked on my door as many other roofing representatives have done this year. But Jerry was different. He was not pushing. He gave me trust. I decided to claim and he jumped in taking care of the entire process with my insurance company. When the afjuster came, also Jerry was here having a very smooth conversation with him. The claim was approved without any hiccups and I learned about it from Jerry days before the insurance company called me. They scheduled the work immediately, arrived on time, covered everything with tarps and removed the debris as soon as they finished removing the old shingles. I inspected the job they were doing and it was of great quality. They replaced several damaged pieces of wood and even fixed some minor errors on the roof design over the patio. The materials they used were of good quality. Overall a great experience. I learn that they are a small owner operated company which is amazing if you like to also support local businesses. Customer service and quality of work beyond my high expectations. Inspection, claim coordination with insurance adjuster all handled with minimal input from me. Jerry met with adjuster multiple times on site to help move things along keeping me informed of status of claim without any delay or chasing around. Job was scheduled in timely fashion that worked with my schedule and was completed same day. Excellent attention to detail and site cleanup. I had 2 small areas of concern that were dealt with immediately without hesitation to my satisfaction. Upgraded shingles were available at minimal extra cost that made going to 40yr product well worth it. Color choices to match our existing roof. All in all, would be next to impossible to beat experience we had with EDR in dealing with the normally stressful task of this type of home repair.
