After a pretty bad rain storm the night before I noticed I had a small leak inside my house. I immediately called Hugo after reading really great reviews and wanting to support a local business. He was prompt, extremely knowledgeable and came out the same day. I showed him where it was and he was able to seal it that same visit. He had answers to all of my questions. He was very honest and upfront with what he saw. Plus this repair comes with a one year written warranty. So I have confidence in his work. I believe the price is definitely worth his expertise. We were experiencing a leak following the large storm a few weeks ago, so we were looking for someone who could come out to investigate the issue and give us an estimate for repairs.We reached out to Hugo in the evening, and the next morning he responded back to our inquiry. He was at our house within an hour and was able to diagnose the issue with speed and professionalism.Following the identification of the issue, we asked how quickly we could get the repair scheduled and, to our surprise, Hugo was able to get onto the roof immediately and repair the issue.While Hugo was repairing the identified leak, he found another issue with our hot water tank venting that he also fixed while he was on the roof.We have not had any leaks since Hugo came out and repaired the roof. His service came with a one-year guarantee as well.Definitely recommend Hugo for his expedient service and professionalism. Prices may be high, but remember you get what you pay for!! I asked Hugo to come by to estimate a price on removing an old furnace vent and patching the roof where the hole is. He made time for me the next day and was communicative when he was on his way. He gave me a reasonable quote and was able to do the job in the same day. He walked me through what to expect and gave me a year warranty if the spot leaks. Hugo is friendly and efficient.I will update this review after the next rain, but right now it looks good and I can't see any light coming through.EDIT: It has now rained a couple times since Hugo was here. I called Hugo after we noticed an old leak in our garage had reappeared. He was at our home within an hour, gave us a very reasonable and affordable estimate...and after a quick trip for some supplies he returned and knocked out the repair in about three hours after my initial phone call requesting an estimate. Amazing!He was very professional throughout the entire process, explained everything he saw on our roof, and stepped me through the entire repair as he was doing it.I was very very happy with his service and will call him again if I ever need anything for my roof. Found Hugo online based on his 5 star review. Roof repairs are something not many major roof companies want to do. However, Hugo specifically specializes on this kind of work based on the conversation we had. During the last storm I had found out one of my rental properties was leaking and he took up the job with pride and confidence in his work. After seeing his work, punctuality, and pride in what he does for a living I 100% would recommend him to anyone looking for a roof repair.

Hugo answered my call right away and said he could come by the same afternoon. He couldn’t work on the roof that day due to some rain, so he came back the next day and was done quick. He took pictures of the work to show where he had fixed some missing shingles and repaired some damage. Overall good guy and did the work I needed quickly. Living near St Mary's University off Culebra, we were having dinner 25 May 2020 during a powerful thunderstorm. Right in the middle of dinner, suddenly water started pouring from the roof! This ruined dinner and was intolerable. We called around to several roofers, most were busy with calls since the storm, we then called HG ROOF REPAIR and Hugo answered right away, he too was busy but said he would try to get by and give me a no-cost estimate. Within the hour he arrived and went right to work checking for roof damage. I was impressed. He explained the normal price to fix a roof leak is usually $750.00 and I explained as a retired disabled veteran I only receive $800 monthly. He discovered not just one leak area but three areas of damage. He spoke candidly saying if he repaired the one leak, then possibly the next rain or in the future we could have more leaking from our roof. I was drained by the thought and he saw it in my face. I explained I had gone through a heart attack then followed up with a stroke and money is very tight. Hugo listened then completely surprised me saying "Thank you for your service" and he was going to help out a Senior Citizen and Disabled Vet and lower his price for this job and he showed up the next day and fixed ALL THREE AREAS for us. He took before photos to show me the damage then followed up with after repair photos. The work was done very quickly and was professional. Now we have peace of mind. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am at this man's compassion and his professional demeanor. I would highly recommend HG ROOF REPAIR to anyone.

I hired Hugo to repair a leak in the roof and paid $350.00 for the work he completed in 10 minutes. He seemed knowledgeable and explained that he was going to fill the hole with a sealant and give a 1 year warranty. The very next rain water begins coming from behind the wall at the exact location of the original leak. I dropped a text trying to explain the situation that it seems like water is being routed away from the hole which was patch but still getting in. The distance from the original problem to the new on is 2" or less. His reply was defensive but he asked me to call him and so I did. I tried to explain in better detail why I believed it was the same leak but he didn't want to hear it and instead made his own accusations, was rude, completely unprofessional, and denied the issue had anything to do with him. After a minute of him speaking to me like a child it was clear he made his money and didn't think doing the job right was worth his time. I searched for a roofer in San Antonio and found Hugo he responded right away I told him I needed to do a roof repair because my roof was leaking he got the repair done and timely matter this was a year ago until today the roof repair he did is holding up I'm very happy I used him and the repair came with a one year warranty that's why I'm writing the review because his work was great I will for sure use him in the future if I need him . Hugo did a great job. He did a quality job inspecting our roof and replacing nessesary shingles that needed to be replaced. We had a small issue and he came back not make sure we were fully satisfied with the job completed. I highly recommend them.

We are so pleased with the service Hugo provided to us. We just moved into our home and unfortunately had a leak from the downpours last fall and Hugo responded right away. He came out the following day and worked on the problem. He was very professional and stood by his warranty because it just so happened to rain again a few days later. Unfortunately it leaked again (not as bad though), but Hugo responded immediately and came back to fix the problem. We haven't had a leak since. We will be using him from now on, Thank you Hugo!

Hugo the roofer did not fix my roof problem. He was given several opportunities to get it done, and basically gave up. I did not receive any of my money back as requested, and will now proceed with litigation. Be aware of Hugo's claims of being professional and following through with his repairs. I was never aggressive in any way as he claims, in fact, I was very patient with him trying to rectify the problem. This is just bad business and the public has a right to be informed. HUGO IS A TERRIBLE ROOFER!

Had Hugo come take a look. On the phone, he got upset at me asking what he wanted to charge me $750 to actually do. I didn't understand, since he gave me no description of the issue (find out later that he never checked up in the attic). Hugo got pretty defensive and said he was fed up...with what, I don't know. Yelled so loud that both the neighbors came out to see if everything was ok. He got in his car and sped off. I wasted a week...look elsewhere if you want professionalism.
