I had originally ordered one large 4 ft by 4ft skylight from Sola-lite. For reasons beyond both mine and the companies expectations, it was just too big once we started to get it installed. Sean and his crew worked with me and ended up giving me a fair price for two smaller skylights. The crew was professional and offered to work longer hours due to the set backs. We initially installed 2 of the Solatube units and were so pleased with them that we had 3 more added! We have both the units with lights and without, and I no longer have to turn on a light to walk down the hall in the middle of the day. I love that they provide so much light with just one relatively small cutout in the roof and there’s no problem with leaks like a lot of people have with traditional skylights. We had the last ones done a number of years ago and they hadn’t required any maintenance until this year, and that was just because we had our roof replaced. Customer service was great—one quick call and they came out to check out & clean all the units and everything looks good as new! Thanks Sean and team!

Great experience all around and very satisfied with the product. Will from sales was exactly on time, explained the details of the various products and extras, and was concerned with making sure the locations we wanted were appropriate (not over a ceiling fan or blocking the TV, etc.). We received estimates from Sola-Lite and one other company. They were very close in price, but the level of pre-sale customer service from Sola-Lite made their offer the front runner. Hurley was the installer and was equally helpful, friendly, efficient, and professional. We had three tubes installed in about 4 hours. My one complaint is with the add-on dimmers we had installed so we could choose to not have bright light first thing in the morning before getting up. The dimmer motor is solar, so you need to set them before the sun goes down or after it comes up. That said, we are very happy with the new look in the house. We are considering more tubes in the future, as well as some of the company's fan options, and Sola-Lite will get the contract for sure!

We have had an incredible experience with Sola-light and just wanted to share our experiences. We have had our entire house windows done with the NASA grade tinting and did a tremendous job with the morning and afternoon sun. We have had solar attic fans in our top attic and second floor storage that made a huge difference in temperature. Finally we have had three solar tubes installed and I really highly recommend these as it made a world of difference everywhere we put them in. Sola-Lite came to the rescue! I had three skylights on my house and one of them leaked after every moderate rain storm. Their awesome sales guy Greg came over and quickly diagnosed the problem. Long story short, they gave me a great price on three of the Velux skylights which are super high quality. The installation team was friendly, professional and very talented. They came out and got them all installed in record time. These skylights are flat - not like the old bubble kind so they look much better and after two good rains I can say for certain that they don't leak at all. I plan to add some of the Solatubes next in the dark areas of my closet and the laundry room and I will absolutely call these guys again. We have had two Solatube Daylighting Systems installed in our home in the last year. This was the BEST home improvement that we have had done to our home. (We’ve done several home upgrades in the last two years since purchasing our home.) We had two rooms in which there were no windows, so no light. It’s amazing how much daylight now shows up in these two rooms. No need to turn on lights during the day and the added “bene” is the night light - its absolutely amazing. The entire process from contacting Sola-Lite Inc - initial phone call to completed installation was S-I-M-P-L-E and every associate is polite, knowledgeable and informative. We are so in tune with utilizing the energy God provides. Our solar panels have saved thousands. Our panel guy actually suggested this company. We had 5 installed and our home is like that pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Super beautiful. I can actually see all the art work in a different LIGHT.The workout room turned out amazing I get up for work usually at 4:15 dragging and dreading that room. Now with the tubes I feel so different in the room. No bright light needed just what is provided by tube.The kitchen is amazing we always left the above light from stove on or the light from refrigerator and now nothing we have enough tube light coming in to guide you throughout the kitchen and laundry room. I’m super stoked about this purchase.Our master bedroom bath is amazing as well I haven’t had to turn on any lights where we placed the tubes.We enjoy the lights so much we are getting them in the rental home we own.I can’t say enough about Mark. Mark was very polite explained in detail all the questions I had for him. Punctual clean friendly masked always kept it on in the house. He wore shoe covering which was required for our dogs have allergies and we don’t wear shoes in the house. He covered our furniture and picked up. I met these guys at the Home & Garden show and they took the time to explain all the great benefits of a solar attic fan in my garage to keep the temperature down. I was very impressed with their product and it sounded like the perfect solution. He also mentioned a 30% federal tax rebate - score! Good first impression.So I made an appointment for October 19, scheduled PTO and took the day off from work to give them my full attention in case they were able to do the install that day, and 20 minutes prior to my appointment I got a call saying that they were canceling. The person on the other end of the phone didn't say anything else, except that someone would be calling me to reschedule my appointment...that was over two months ago. So much for first impressions.In the meantime I've called and left messages (no one ever answers the phone). I still get promotional emails from them though, that's how I learned that the 30% tax rebate expires at the end of the year. "Call now" it says so your project can be completed before the end of the year. So with 4 days left in 2019, I guess I can say farewell to the tax credit, and just live with a hot, humid garage.Maybe if I had a huge project like whole-home solar panels that would've made them a lot of money, I probably would've gotten a call back. A simple garage fan just isn't worth their time and effort.

The difference of day and night! Our family room has been dark since we added a covered patio and our master bath did not have any natural light - Sola Lite has changed both rooms to well lit areas. Our Master bath is now well lit without any electrical lights and our family room no longer needs electric lighting during the day. Also, the solar powered night lights are a great. John, our installer, was polite and professional and helped us with choosing the right light filters available from Sola Lite. We could not be more pleased. I would highly recommend these units to anyone with a dark area of the house they need to brighten with natural light!

Following 2017 Hurricane Harvey, in Rockport Texas, I found that one of the 5 Sola-Tubes, which I'd had installed a number of years ago, had been damaged by the wind, with the dome being blown off and broken. Even though installation had been about 5 years prior, the Sola-Lite people worked with me to get the proper parts delivered for installation by my contractor. Not being sure of the size, and what other parts may be required, the company agreed to send a range of parts, allow me to pick what was needed, and return the unused parts for refund. I am completely pleased with the results and Sola-Lite's effort to get the damaged tube corrected. I highly recommend their products, appreciate their customer service response, and will likely do additional business with them in the future.

Sola-Lite continued to send me invoices for a job that was never complete. Each time they called to remind me of an "unpaid balance," I reminded them of the "unfinished job." I asked to have the owner (or equivalent) contact me regarding the failure to complete the job....it never happened. Finally, approximately one year later, I receive another invoice for an unpaid balance. I agreed to pay the balance if the unfinished portion of the job was removed.....they agreed. I would not recommend this company to future clients and for personal renovations in the future.Service: Skylight installation

Greg was very patient and helpful when he gave me the estimate for the install and advice for where to have the tube installed.
