Steer clear. Mike presents as a Christian family man and you will want to trust him, but you cannot. I prepaid for septic and roof jobs and he never did either and kept the money. I paid for 98% of the framing work for a new home and he completed about 60%. He also didn’t complete any aspect of the job and what he did complete I had to spend thousands of dollars trying get a professional to fix it. He was even given the opportunity to fix some small work with a shower that he said he would warranty and then he disappeared leaving me holding the bag again. Run far away if given the opportunity to work with him!Services: New home construction, General building construction, Foundation pouring, Home construction

EDIT: It's been a week or two since I left this review and still no contact from this...thief.Mike Castaneda owe us money, $2486.49This is Matt at C&L Natural Stone. He apparently has zero intention of paying us, he will not answer his phone or return a text message.He's a thief as far as I'm concerned. If I was anyone reading these reviews, I'd definitely not do business with him.Look further down at the other negative reviews that are here. Surely Mrs. Rasmussen wouldn't make up a story about him running off with 100k.Or Mr. Blattner describing how Castaneda completed part of the job and disappeared with most of the payment.Don't trust him.Hopefully this helps other people avoid being taken advantage of by him.Sidenote: I wouldn't trust the positive reviews either.Look up some of the names. A Solas Con Dios left a positive review...thats a church that both of his parents are pastors at.M.C. Home Builders left a review.....that's him polishing his own reputation.James Burgos left a positive review....the only 2 reviews he's ever left are for Mike Castaneda's businesses. Probably a family member or close friend. Definitely not legitimate.Seems kinda shady.

Mike is a awesome guy, always ready to help. His morals are sound. This is the only contractor worth hiring and you will get the quality and speed you are paying for. A+ M.C. Home Builders LLC keep up the good work. And thank you for everything you do.

I reached out to MC Home Builders to wall in a garage and add on an a/c unit to my home. They promptly came out, talked over my idea, and within 24 hours had a quote in my email. I had called atleast a dozen places to try and get estimates, even emailed a few. Only 3 answered or called back. And only MC honored their word at every juncture. I didn't use MC because I went a lesser route on my construction and took the cheaper way (I'll see how that pans out soon). But MC Home Builders was cool and wished me luck on my project. Overall they weren't much more than a competitor, but I rolled the dice. I will call MC again for future projects.
