DON’T CHOOSE TILSON. We have had a HORRIBLE experience with Tilson. We have had three water leaks. Two that led to water sitting between our foundation and floor. It took them two months to even pull floor up. They did send about 5 different people to come out and take pictures 5 different times before lifting a finger. Another leak in my ceiling from the AC in the attic, due to poor duct work, and a few other things with the AC. Back door was too small for the frame, nails popping out the ceiling. Yesterday, two days after finally getting my floors done. From the first water leak in May. (It is now September) They didn’t connect my washer properly and water drained all over my house, two pieces of my furniture have water damage, Servpro is out here again. Turns out they weren’t even allowed to disconnect it the way that they did. List goes on. We are having to higher a new home inspector, Who I’m sure will find so many problems. We have only lived in our home 7 months. Haven’t got to enjoy it at all.

In my opinion and experience, Tilson Homes could have delivered a better product and customer experience. We watched and documented every phase of the build from start to finish. I will not complain about the price of the home. However, the craftsmanship and products used were of poor quality. I will not go into detail about the many problems we experienced. I will admit our construction manager tried to correct the errors made by the contracts, but too many things went wrong to change the facts and my opinion. To our friends, the home looks beautiful, but only Tilson and I can see the flaws of the house. I will not be recommending Tilson Homes to my friends and family.Thanks you for your feedback. I will continue to report the problems to your warranty department.

Tilson is a great company to build your new home with! My associate Jerry Shorten is hands down the best in the industry. No one will be more patient with you, educate you on the home process, and make you feel like family more than Jerry will. He listens to everything you have to say and truly personalizes the experience in more ways than one. I can surely say that going into the building process we were a bit skeptical, but our experience was top notch. My family and I will always be grateful to have worked with Jerry and will recommend everyone we know to him. I can proudly say he is more than just our home specialist, he's a friend!

Working with Tanya was great. She answered all of our questions and was very helpful. We went to look at different finishes at other sales locations, and everyone was great. Picking out finishes was fun and easy. The problem came when we went to build. Framing took months. Weeks would go by with no progress. Our projected finish date came and went. Five months later, we were begging to close. We closed. Several trim items weren’t finished. Our house was filthy after we got our keys. We moved in and noticed a sewage smell in the kitchen. It turns out they put up drywall before plumbing was finished. They had to cut into our drywall and kitchen cabinets to cap off a pipe. Several of our cabinets and drawers have off center knobs. They replaced them all but one. We paid for stub outs for a future half bath upstairs that is useless because of the a/c duct work in the way. We paid for trim around our mirrors that is still sitting on our front porch. Tilson was recommended to us by relatives, but we couldn’t recommend them to anyone else.

I LOVE this company! The sales associate made us feel like she really cared about what we wanted in our forever home. They completed a couple of weeks after the projected timeframe but with the weather they had to fight with that was understandable and the quality of their work made up for it! Hopefully we won't be building another house but if we do it will be with Tilson.

I had a custom home built by Tilson Homes last year. Tanya helped me through the process from start to finish. She helped me pick out all my appliances and had great ideas for colors and other touches. The financing options, the customer service, all of it was five stars!

My husband and I have been dreading the process of building a home, only because there are so many things that come with it; however, Tilson Homes has made building a home for us, more like a dream. We are extremely excited to have our custom home built on our own land. We met with Jerry Shorten (amazing man to work with) and, he created our plan and made our dream come to life. He guided us through every step and has gone above and beyond for us- meeting us at random times and spots around the Houston area to get paperwork, answering all of our calls, texting us updates, and making sure we are satisfied with every decision we made. I would HIGHLY recommend Tilson Homes and would even say, when you go in, ask for Jerry! He is amazing.

Jury still out. Great sales person but unsure of extra costs in process. House cost on higher end. Garage considered an upgrade on most models. Just over 300k for 1900 sq ft worth garage. To be built in central Texas. Will rate again later in process.
