These guys do amazing work. After attempting to plan and build our commercial building with 2 other contractors, we finally found MRI. Derrick and his crew worked around several issues and kept the project moving despite challenges with permits, easements, etc. Although the project was finished slightly behind schedule (not MRI's fault at all), they did a fantastic job and the end product is amazing. We get compliments ALL the time.What I really liked about MRI was their focus on details and quality. For example, all of the other contractors proposed an asphalt parking lot vs concrete. Derrick at MRI said that concrete was more expensive, but lasted longer and, because we were expecting lots of heavy traffic, recommended it strongly. The best part is that MRI was less expensive (on that portion of the build) than the other contractors, who proposed asphalt. He also recommended and installed spray foam for insulation instead of traditional insulation (same thing....MRI was cheaper again, despite foam being more expensive). Also, the subcontracted team that the use, from the architect (Bob Shelton...he is amazing) to the electricians, drywall, etc. have been with them for decades so they are trustworthy and do excellent work. If you need a building built, this is a turn-key operation. They have the subs and the staff to do it all.I also liked the design aspect of the project. Since we went with a metal building (due to construction costs being slightly lower), we expected a rustic, unsophisticated grey metal box without much curb appeal. Surprise! Not from MRI. they made our space look like a modern masterpiece! Trust me, the talent here is awesome.Bottom line, if you want big-city quality and design from hard-working small-town hardworking people, MRI is a great choice. My only hesitation in recommending them is that we plan to use them on future builds and would hate to fill up their schedule! MRI was the general contractor for our commercial property in 2018. Since then we've had one issue after another due to the shoddy work that was done by the people they hired for installation. From electrical work, installing in a household water heater in a commercial building, bad plumbing and so on.

XD Moving

Our company, XD Moving Solutions, LLC, at the request and confirmation of Mike with Modern Renovations, packed, moved and unpacked his client in July 2013. A bill was submitted upon completion of the job. The one conversation in which we were able to speak with Mike, he indicated that he would not be paying the bill as he felt the amount was not to his liking for the work done. His client felt that he was well taken care of and that our job exceeded his expectations. As of date, we have made several attempts to collect for the past due invoice and the balance owed. We have left messages for Mike with his assistant, as he is no longer available to speak with us regarding this matter, which have not been returned. As of today’s date, we have not yet received payment for the balance owed for work that was performed and completed.
