I wanted to do my patio roof cover and a good friend of mine recommended Deck Masters because they did theirs and were very satisfied with the result. I called them and Austin showed up and he was very well mannered and gave me a reasonable estimate.We started the project with him and he did everything on time and as promised. His father Mike was very helpful from the start to the end of the project and the crew was wonderful. The electrician John Seaman was helpful and did his part with no issues. Marsh handled the gutters and roofing and everything was professionally done and was adjusted to our request without problems. Everyone that came out was very honest and punctual. I would do another project with them if anything comes up in the future. Great crew!

We are very pleased with their hustle and workmanship. Going into this project, I thought it'd take whomever we choose would take a month or more to build it. Deck masters started within days of agreeing to the scope of work, and them completed everything in less than a week. And we could not be happier with the quality of the work preformed. I contacted Deck Masters to build my patio roof cover & install an antique swing & I am so glad I gave them the project. Mike Owens & his team including Kelly (can not thank him enough for the workmanship of swing support on my dropped ceiling), Little & Chris were very thorough & worked very sincerely to complete the project on time. They were very professional. All the references for other contractors from Mike worked out great as well. Deck Masters was an absolute pleasure with which to do business…again. This was our 2nd project with them. They were immediately responsive to our request for a quote, understood immediately what we were seeking and immediately provided a reasonable, specific quotation along with a construction schedule and timeframe.The project had three elements: construction, roofing, and staining. 2 stars for price and workmanship. Unfortunately they are unwilling to repair damage done while laying shingles. The roofers brought nails that were too long and damaged the wood (see attached image for example) underneath. Owner Mike at first stated that he'd never seen anything like it and would get it fixed right away but convinced me to let them finish the shingles so there was no chance of rain damage in the meantime. In retrospect, I shouldn't have let them because once the shingles were complete and the check cleared his perspective changed and he refuses to replace the damaged board. Seems like an easy fix for a company that builds these every day. I'm happy to discuss this with prospective customers and provide the corroborating text exchanges.

Recently had a free standing cover built for our patio by Deck Masters and we couldn't be more pleased. As you can see from the photo, it looks like the cover could have easily come with the house.We had an excellent experience from our initial consultation all the way through to completion of the project. First, an associate, Nate, came out to our home to look at the job site. After discussing our needs he asked for some time to sketch something up and within 30 minutes or so, he had drawn up some plans right there in our back yard with just pencil and paper that looked like blueprints straight off a drafting table! It was amazing to be able to see our ideas come to life in a drawing of our house with the proposed structure. After doing some comparison shopping, we decided proceed with Nate's quote, which was very reasonably priced. In the meantime, he had even taken the time to draw up a couple of alternative options which he designed to allow rain to flow into our existing house gutters and keep our patio dry. Once construction began it was very swift with separate teams coming out to build the structure, roof it with shingles and finally apply stain to the wood. Each team was quick, friendly and neatly cleaned up after their work. All the while, we were in regular contact with Mike, the owner of the company who kept us advised of the schedule and answered any questions I had along the away. When the job was finished, I had the pleasure of meeting Mike in person when he came by to check out the completed project and collect our payment.Deck Masters has been in business for a very long time and their decades of experience shows in their work. They are a trustworthy and well established company that I would recommend for any of your outdoor living space needs. Thanks again to Mike and his crew for a beautiful structure that we will enjoy for years to come.

Mike, Austin and the crew from Deck Masters did a Fabulous Job! 5 Stars for sure. They supplied a drawing with all the details when they did the estimate which allowed me to file quickly with my HOA and get it approved. All their crews work well together, with the build crew passing on when done to the Roof crew and they passing on to the Stain crew. All went very smoothly and only took two days to complete our 14' x 22' Patio Cover. Thank you all very much and I have already referred to a neighbor. I also recommend Prater Concrete who Deck Masters recommended, they poured the patio foundation in one day and it is perfect also. They worked seamlessly with Deck Masters.

I live in West Plano and recently built a new patio and roof through Deck Masters last month. I must admit that Mike Owens, Austin Owens and their team are fantastic folks. Absolutely not money minded. They offer only one price and no bargaining. Truly honest and trustworthy team. When several other contractors told me that they can’t build the roof due to complex slopes and roof lines in my backyard, Mike told me that he can and that’s exactly what he did. Certainly awesome. Mike responds to your questions immediately always by text message and that’s one thing I liked as well. There was a small water leak couple of weeks ago during the heavy rain and his roofing team returned, opened up the shingles and repaired an area that got separated. I strongly recommend Deck Masters. They did not ask me for any down payment or advance deposit at all. I made full payment after they completed the entire work. They are genuine people and you can trust them 100%. If you live in the area and would like to see my beautiful new patio, schedule time with Mike and he will arrange a quick visit. I had recently moved to Texas and was thrilled the back of the home had a covered porch. During the past few months it was apparent that every living bug and mosquito known on this earth became my neighbor. Repellent, electronic zappers and layers of clothing did not deter the unofficial Republic of Texas Air Force. Looking online I found Deck Masters. The owner, Mike, is intelligent, professional and a straight shooter. He quoted a fair price for a screened in patio-porch and promised completion within the week. Jeremy and the crew delivered. They were done within four hours and cleaned up as promised. I had not previously met Mike and I am not receiving any payment or reward for this positive review. I highly recommend Deck Masters and would use them again without hesitation. FYI: This is also a veteran owned company.

I am 100% satisfied with the entire process. My estimate was clear, concise and easy to read. Deck Masters recommended a concrete sub that was great, Prater Concrete, and they did an excellent job. Next the the builders came and they were in my backyard less than 4 hours. Great guys who know what they are doing and get the job done. Today the painters came and were also done in 3 hours doing an amazing job. The roofers came a couple hours later and the only slowdown was they had the wrong shingles. Not a big deal at all.All I can say is Deck Masters has the process down and will not disappoint. If you want outdoor work done you can’t go wrong with Deck Masters. I am more than satisfied.

You know how it always feels like someone else has the best? Well after my patio cover was completed by Deck Masters, I honestly believe that I have the best patio cover anywhere! The completed cover is beyond my imagination! And I did not spend as much as other companies that would have left me with less than what Deck Masters built for me. They do not make “cookie cutter” patio covers. The crew is very attentive to details and friendly. I really cannot give Deck Masters enough praise for how happy I am! We needed to have a roof extended over an existing patio in our new home. We wanted no posts and tongue and groove ceiling to match our existing porch. With only a rough dimensional sketch, Kelly Owens, master carpenter and his crew of two, built our roof better than I had envisioned. It is perfect. From the time they began at 9:30 Thursday until 4:30 Friday, the project was completed. Roofing materials, paint and stain. The work is outstanding, but we couldn't give 5 stars because the crews just showed up out of the blue. No phone calls ahead of time. We keep the gate locked but happened to be home each of the 3 times workers came.3 expert crews did the job, framers, roofers, stainers. They did an excellent job with clean up and protecting areas on the patio and house. The estimate was reasonable, and the 8 week wait was worth it because the patio looks so much nicer and now has the cover.

We just completed our gable patio with Deck Masters and could not be happier! This was our third project with Mike and Austin , at two different houses, across multiple years and each experience has been 5 star. From the initial contact with Austin, to the suggestions on design, price, materials, craftsmanship..... they are notches above anyone we have seen - to say the least. Not to mention their timeliness - the job was completed in 2.5 days and they cleaned up the yard and had it looking better than before they came. And everyone was very nice and personable with my family and pets.Lastly I will mention that they have a great eye and will help design the best solution - at our old house we were thinking about a square, gable patio before they came out and they suggested a flat top, curved design to go better with the yard and house - and it was amazing and the absolute right way to go.
