Belfor helped us rebuild our home after a fire July 1, 2022. Dakota responded during the fire thanks to a call from a friend and was so caring and compassionate. He helped board the house up and explained next steps to us, without pressure at all to sign a contract. Belfor really fought for our best interest with our insurance company, getting the full value of our policy so our home could be completed fully without cost out of pocket for us. Joe was the best project manager and dealt with my requests, changes and preferences with professionalism and an open mind. All building projects come with delays and Belfor handled those swiftly and did everything they could to get us back home as soon as possible. This company was with us every step of the way literally from the day we lost our home in a fire last July till we finally got to move back in this weekend. We have recently experienced some damages to our our home related to a lightning strike last summer. It damaged our refrigerator, our tv, the sprinkler system, and some wiring in our home. It also caused a leak in a hot water line under our kitchen cabinet. This leak damaged our cabinet and leaked into the carpet in the living room .. I had seen a show Hearts of Heroes that showed Belfor solving some of the problems for people that had had damage to their homes and what Belfor had been able to do for them. I was very impressed with their response, so I called them hoping to be able to solve my damage problems also. James Guest came to our home, and evaluated the damages. He quickly had contractors and Belfor employees lined up to start getting our home back to normal. There were additional issues that arose concerning the cabinet tops that had to be removed to replace damaged cabinets. The cabinet tops broke when removed which now was going to require replacement of all the cabinet tops in the kitchen. James contacted a tile and granite contractor in Waco which came to our home, and now we have a beautiful kitchen again. Carpet contractor replaced carpet and we now had our home back to normal. I was so elated, until 3 days after the final rebuild was completed. On Christmas morning we awoke to another leak in the wall between our living room and a bathroom which was on the wall behind the living room. The sheetrock was soaked, it had leaked into the living room floor soaking the carpet that had just been installed. Again I called Belfor and James had a crew of 6 men that came and started removing the sheetrock, a plumber was there to repair the waterline. They brought all the fans and dehumidifiers that was going to be necessary to dry up the water. After it had dried out, a crew came to replace the sheetrock, paint, and repair the cabinet in the bathroom. Finally we are back to normal.There was so many problems that it made my head swim trying to put things in perspective. James Guest was our "HERO " that came in and had a solution for everything that needed to be done. His experience with property restoration, along with the resources available through Belfor, made a total disaster into a tolerant experience. His patience and personal concern with our issues made him much more than just a contact. I will not hesitate to recommend Belfor Restoration and James Guest to anyone who has a problem getting their home livable again.

I rarely write reviews unless I am extremely "wowed" or extremely disappointed. I/We were extremely blessed by the response from Belfor Restoration! Their kindness, thoughtfulness, communication, responsiveness, keeping their word, fulfilling our requests and even thought outside the box for us on items and areas that were affected that we possibly were not aware of. Matt, who was my contact person, kept his word and we worked together keeping everything above board, which is/was important to myself and the organization that I work for ... and for him as well. This summer, my 16yo son attempted to make toast in a skillet (we have a toaster) which resulted in a grease fire at 4:00am. Thankfully, he knew what to do and handled the avoidable fire before I was startled awake by smoke alarms. After thoroughly cleaning and airing out my home I could not get the smell of smoke out! This is the second time we had an emergency and needed a restoration company’s service. Wish we had known about Belfor and James Guest the first time. Our flooding surprise occurred a few days before Christmas 2023, and James arrived at our house with workers ready almost immediately after we called them. He did everything possible to make our mess tolerable, and we couldn’t have been pleased. He checked on us daily to see if our needs were being met which was so appreciated. James exceeded all expectations. We highly recommend Belfor, and specifically, James Guest, and we will definitely call him again should we ever need their services.

Our home was struck by lightning and caught fire in April of 2023 and we are HOME for the Holidays thanks to Belfor. Dakota Dees showed up while the firefighters were still putting the fire out and was the calm in the midst of our crisis. He stayed with us until we left for the night and bought our family breakfast the next morning. He also had fans and cleaning equipment scheduled before we had a contract signed. Outstanding. Phil Stagg is excellent at communicating weekly what work was done and what work is upcoming. Joe Selner was at our house almost daily ensuring work was progressing, things were being done well and his eye for detail is impeccable. Joe handles stress and pressure well, giving so much grace as things became hectic at the end. He even lent me his shoulder to cry on. Belfor is in an incredible company that truly cares for their clients and has incredible service. Everything they did to our home added value and looks INCREDIBLE.

My home was damaged from a freak storm. Of all the restoration companies that came out to do bids Belfor was the only one who mentioned that the carpet padding was all wet and needed to be removed quickly to prevent black mold. Insurance gladly pays for any of the restoration companies to do that but only Belfor even mentioned it. I agreed to let them start the removal process of padding. Within the hour James Guest had his crew here and removed all wet padding and started drying the house out. I hired them to do the complete restoration inside my home along with upgrades I wanted done. James was always there when I had questions about anything. If there was something I didn’t quite like he had no problems getting it changed to my liking. Great guy! We walked into our house at 9:30 to find the downstairs flooded from a plumbing rupture upstairs. After our dishwasher caused a minor flood in our kitchen, we called Belfor to dry out our cabinets. The damage ended up being a lot more than expected, but our project manager, James Guest, was very helpful, informative, and professional throughout the entire experience. He showed up every day to check the progress and adjust things as needed to try and save the cabinets. He even made sure to be here when the insurance adjuster came out in order to help explain the situation and advocate for us.
