We've used Hill Country Land Improvement for a number of projects related to the construction of our business, including land clearing, building several roads, and building a custom driveway and entry gate (pictures included). Blake and crew have always been on time and gotten the job done quickly and correctly. Blake helped us locate an engineer to design the concrete driveway and then worked with TXDOT to get it through their approval process. Blake takes pride in his work and it shows. We plan to continue using HCLI in the future, and would highly recommend them to anyone!

We used Hill Country Land Improvement to help build the infrastructure for our bar (parking, roads, fencing, driveway and gate) before we opened in late 2017, and we've been so impressed with the level of service Blake and his crew provide that we've used them several times since then, including on our winter projects this January-February 2019. This go-around, HCLI built a number of different fence styles for us, built a pad with rock retaining wall for a storage shed, poured a pad for a propane tank installation, built custom gates, added in-ground drainage, resurfaced our roadways, and built a beautiful natural limestone custom propane fire pit for the front of the bar. Blake's crew works hard and does top notch work. Blake himself is honest and has a great can-do spirit... he'll always figure out a way to help you achieve the result you want. We used HCLI to completely overhaul the exterior of our home. They added much needed drainage, precise leveling of the backyard, seed grass, a retaining wall, a high quality fence w/gates, the leveling of our front yard, and the addition of high quality driveway covering. The project started with Blake's insight and creativity and along the way his collaborative nature made quick changes easy and seamless. He was fantastic to work with. Blake and crew cleared 3 acres of property and completed a 220’ private driveway in preparation for home construction. They provided the lowest bid and completed all work on schedule. I'm very glad I found this company! I bought a new home in Wimberley in October 2020 that had a large (about 1/2 acre) lot. The builder had leveled the front yard and done some very basic landscaping in the front, but the backyard was uneven, strewn with large rocks, and consumed by weeds. It was difficult to even walk back there. In order to fully enjoy this large open space, it would need a lot of work. It was a big project, but HCLI put in a new concrete walkway from the front to the back of the house, leveled out the rest of the rocky terrain, built a concrete pad for an outdoor kitchen and constructed a very attractive cedar structure to cover it, built a large wooden deck around our pool, and planted some privacy trees. It turned out great! We now have a very attractive and functional backyard that we can enjoy for years to come. Blake McLean and Chris Lawson were very competent and honest, and the pricing was very fair. Their employees are all competent, hard-working, polite, and produce excellent work. If you need anything done to your property and the harsh terrain of the Hill Country, contact this company. They are really, really good!

I had a monumental challenge with a driveway that crossed a wet weather creek. HCLI designed a functional and astectically attractive solution. The entire team were always polite and professional. I just wanted to take an opportunity to thank Blake and his hill country land improvement team on the outstanding job that he did on my raw land in wimberley. My wife and I were very indecisive on what vision we wanted for our 6 acre tract. We started in one direction and then went another. We did some cedear clearing and a fresh new road. Blake was patient and courteaous with our demands. We started with one idea and it turned into a totally different one. He also stayed under our budget which was a big deal for us. I had a few other quotes from other companies and when it came to do the work they tried to nickel and dime me to improve their margins. Blake put me in the driver seat from day one and let me know that he was working for me. He wanted me to be completely satified with the finished product.
