I purchased solar from HedgeHog Electric & Solar and it has been one mistake and headache after another. I have spent many hours due to incorrectly installed equipment and support issues. Also, the system does not generate the power that I was quoted and initially they promised to fix the problem. They state that they have a full customer satisfaction guarantee. I have worked with them for years now and they are flat refusing to fix the problem. I am currently getting ~80% of the production they quoted. Over the ~2.5 years I have owned the system it has produced ~72% of what I was quoted. They are happy to take payment but not so happy to give what was promised. I would not do business with these folks. They do not keep their word.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Response to owner: I was told by multiple people (sales & installation) that they would add additional panels if needed to increase the production to meet the quoted power generation. They said that there is a full customer satisfaction guarantee. It would have been nice to know that you do not guarantee production up front as I would never have moved forward with the installation. I would hope that you would honor what your representatives said.Roughly half of the panels were originally installed on the wrong side of the house. Also, an incorrectly sized inverter was installed that limited power generation. There were also multiple downtimes due to various issues. It's been a long and painful process. Finally, the systems appears to be functioning correctly now but well under the production I was promised.I have spoke multiple times with people at Hedgehog and initially was told that this production issue would be fixed and now I am being told that it will not. I have asked to speak to the owner but with no response. I would welcome a call to speak to an owner but have no way to contact you myself.

In a world filled with contractors that over-promise and under-deliver, this crew does exactly the opposite.Today Tristan quickly and accurately diagnosed a problem created by another contractor, who had returned several times to remedy with out success. Very professional and timely. Pre-visit was with a certified electrician that spent over an hour with me answering questions about the installation and EV charging. Knowledgeable. The company provided me with a written estimate and worked with me about when to install. Our schedule was bit crazy, but we were able to work it out to get a quick install. On day of installation, two men were here on time ready to go to work. This installation was done in time frame as agreed and without any problems. Given I have not received the unit, we study information from the website so we could work out where to install the plug. Again, the willingness to work with me to have a successful installation was appreciated.After the completion any mess was cleaned up and the electrician spent time explaining to me what was done and what needed to be done when the EV unit arrived. Was an easy and successful installation. An important item was although I had a firm bid before the start, I had received an ad mailing the day before installation that had a Hedgehog coupon. When I asked about using this as part of the installation, there was no hesitancy in approving it. I would recommend Hedgehog for any electrical work and if I have any problems in the future my first call will be to Hedgehog. Thanks for an easy day!Service: Electric car charger installation

Ed did a great job. Working in commercial repair for years, I've developed a habit of noticing how the screws are oriented in switch faceplates. I my experience, Electricians that are through in the application of their trade orient the slots of the screws in a switch faceplate are all lined up in the same direction. Ed did that, and his work showed the same attention to detail.

Roberto and Porter came out today to give us a quote for an install of an outlet to power a level 2 charger. They worked with us on the different details involved and we ended up getting the outlet and the charger installed, and got a two socket outlet upgraded to four after discussing our needs. All this in one day! We even discussed some future projects to get an idea of costs for down the road. Truly excellent service I will recommend them every time!!

We had a major problem where our electrical meter is located. It was so dangerous and severe that the city would have turned off the electricity to our home if it was not repaired. Hedgehog was called in the late afternoon and came out early the next morning to fix the problem.We had guests arriving that afternoon so it would have been a disaster to have no electricity to run our A/C in Southern Utah!The were excellent to work with - great communication. Ed explained everything and checked the entire house after they were done. He also planned to come back in a couple of months to make sure everything is still working as it should.We had a great experience and would use Hedgehog again.Service: Electrical wiring repair

After another electrician cancelled on us, we called Hedgehog. Jadon and Roberto came out to inspect some outlets in my home that weren't working, and to install an outside flood light fixture.
