My experience with Blue Sky Solar was positive from the start. From the first call to assess my situation to the final installation everything was explained fully and clearly. All the personnel involved along the way were very professional, patient and knowledgeable about the product and the installation process. The only frustrating part was the coordination between the company, the county and the power utility. But I guess some of this is unavoidable when dealing with bureaucracies. All in all a very good experience.

They were easy to work with. Made the project easy. I received a quote to have some extra work by another electrician and they quoted me $1500. Blue Sky Solar did it for a fraction of the cost.

From Todd in sales, to Sammi and Megan helping with the onboarding and answering all my questions, and Logan to helping manage the project, everything went great. When I was looking into installing solar panels, I looked at about 10 different companies in the Salt Lake Area, and did a ton of research on what I should expect to generate/use, so I went in to this with certain expectations which Blue Sky Solar met and exceeded. The sales staff (I worked with Trent) was very informative and at no point did I feel under any pressure to choose something I didn't already know I wanted based on my own research. Some of the other 10 companies I looked at either tried to upsell me, or just weren't as responsive to my questions/concerns. Once I was ready to move forward with installation, they were extremely flexible, and worked with me to find a payment plan that worked with my timing but also reduced my overall cost. Once installation began, I started working with a project manager (Felisha) at Blue Sky who was just as flexible and responsive to my (numerous) questions. She did a great job making sure everything came together by my deadline, and even drove all the way from Layton at the last minute to meet with the city inspector to open up some of the electrical panels.I'm four months into using my system, and production is very close to what they (and I) estimated it to be. I was able to get the slightly more efficient REC-Alpha Blacks at a great price and am thrilled with the system so far. The Alpha Blacks are slimmer and look really nice on my roof, and have a slightly better lifespan and efficiency than some of the other panel options. While most companies will provide a similar option for the panels themselves, it's hard to imagine anyone would have been as easy to work with as Blue Sky (or as affordable). If we ever move, or when it's time to replace them in 30 years, I will definitely reach out to Blue Sky again!

A horrible experience across all parts of the process. It has been over a year since install. We were lied to by their sales guy about the system and tax refunds. We were promised a 12 kWh system, it produced 9.4 kWh. They do not communicate...I am waiting for a call from the owner of the company as I type this. He knew they screwed up back at install because he Venmo'd me two months of my power bill to make up for it. Now I am waiting for them to install more panels that have been sitting in my driveway in the elements for weeks with zero communication. They ordered the wrong parts, again! (This is the 3rd time) Find a company with more experience.

I began my solar experience with another company. I decided I needed to look around and found Blue Sky Solar. I'm glad I did. The initial meeting surpassed the other company and my decision was made. Throughout the process the communication was seamless. I always knew what was going on, where my project was and what the next step was. Almost the entire process was done via email with very minimal phone calls. Personally I liked it that way because I work graveyards and could respond to emails easier than phone calls. The product is top of the line, the install was completed in a day and the follow-up was completed shortly after that. Blue Sky knew what they were doing and planned everything from A to Z. I have had a terrific experience with Blue Sky Solar. I worked with Rick who held my hand all the way through the process so graciously. I now have wonderfully functioning solar panels on my roof and a Nest to control my temperature and LED lights throughout my house. We all want to do something to make a difference for future generations and this is the easiest possible way to do it. I am a teacher and not a wealthy person but with all the support I had financially to make this happen with tax credits it’s been100% positive all the way through. I highly recommend Blue Sky Solar; everybody who works for them is top notch.

I recently had solar installed at my home residence by Blue Sky Solar (July 2020) and wanted to write a review. I first heard of Blue Sky Solar through a community Facebook page in my area where someone had asked about solar and inquired on a quality company. I had pondered solar over the years so i followed the post to see who people recommended, many stated Blue Sky Solar was great, quality work, reasonable pricing. So I contacted them. The next day, Brett and his team came by the house to explain to myself and answer any questions I may have, which was many. They were upfront on the lengthy process it was, and the inspections required by the city and the power company. I was informed on the incredible tax breaks I could receive along with the net-metering processes through the power company currently. I provided the information required to determine the size of system I would require for my home. Within a few days, a design layout of the panels on my roof was provided along with cost of the system for my house. Also, financing options were provided. Brett was always in contact and letting me know where we were in the process and what i could expect next. When it came to the installation, the crew was top notch and knew exactly what they were doing. It was the hottest part of the summer and these guys were on top of the roof, in the attic, getting the job done. The crew had even recommended some roof fans to remove the heat out of the attic to preserve my roof for many more years to come. They also installed those fans as well. The solar panels I received were top of the line equipment (i looked them up on YouTube, REC Alpha 360AA Black). The panels looked amazing, thin, sleek and all black. I was treated as a VIP throughout the entire process and was even given some nice fireworks for the 4th of July as a gift as well. I would recommend Brett and his team at Blue Sky Solar for your solar needs. These guys rocked, if there was something i needed, phone calls were made and Brett made it happen. Blue Sky was professional and flexible through the whole process. We were able to get a quote for a smaller system that some other solar providers couldn't do.We did have a timezone issue where they were one hour ahead so while the call was scheduled for 5PM, it ended up being 6PM here and 5PM on their side.

I have been so happy this company. Seriously an amazing company from top to bottom. Total transparency through the entire process and they took care of all the paperwork for tax credits and everything. I LOVE LOVE my solar system, it performs just as good or better than promised. I had been thinking about solar for some time. When my salesman gave me a quote and explained how it works, I was for sure interested. He was well informed and had all my answers. One of my concerns is the way the panels look on roofs. I had been paying attention to homes with solar. I didn't like the panels looking like a tetris game on your roof. When I got my quote and layout, it was fantastic. They placed the panels on a detached garage and a dormer on the house. You cant even see the panels as it takes up the whole space of the roof tops, Very impressive. Another concern was if I was asked questions during the installation, I hoped I had answers . My installer came, did all the work very quickly without a question. My only job was to flip the on switch once the meter was changed out. This had to be one of the easiest improvements I have done. I received emails and calls on every step that was going to happen, I was well informed. I would highly recommend this company. I am a Very satisfied customer
