After being jerked around by two other local roofing companies, our insurance agent told us about Kanga Roof and got a hold of them for us. Parker contacted us that day and was willing to come out and inspect the wind damage. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable, and quoted us 3x cheaper than the other two companies. He took a sample of our shingles that day, covered the bare spot with underlayment to protect it from the weather and told us they would try and make it out later this week. Parker contacted me the very next day and said they had an opening and could get us completely taken care of. The customer service from Kanga was excellent. We called after wind damage tore our roof off down to the wood. After a bid Kanga quickly came to our home to install a water shield on our roof before rain caused damage and then returned later to finish the shingles and soffit repair and replacement. After the wind storm damage we called one of the well known rooftop companies in Layton to get an estimate. Their quote price is 4x time more than what our insurance quote with just minor damage. No luck with that company since they won’t even try or bother to talk or answer calls from my insurance company to help with the claim. My father in law had some experiences doing rooftop and he also agreed the quote from that company is extremely insane and the insurance company quote is more right and reasonable. I finally gave up on that company regardless how many good reviews they have or how big the company is. I tried to seek for another rooftop company and came across kangaroof Layton. Seem like a smaller and newer business, but a perfect 5* reviews should say something so I gave these guys a call. It was probably the best decision I have made in 2020 lol their quote is right on with the insurance company and the guy ( I forgot to ask for his name) who came and estimate our roof was very polite and kind. He offered to help fix a small part of our roof that was considered big damage temporarily to prevent leaking until they can schedule us in their busy schedule which is totally understandable. I can’t judge their work yet but the customer service is way more professional than the other company. I’m glad I went with them!!!

We needed help sealing our attic from raccoons. The critter control company offered to seal all gaps with metal sheeting (that would not match the house) at a very expensive price. Referred Doug and his crew over to my parents to have their roof replaced. My parents had several roofers come by and either not get a bid back or they told them to find another contractor that could handle the fascia and soffit problems and then they would take care of the roof after. Doug's crew not only took care of it all, they teamed up with an electric company to remove the solar panels from their roof at a much lower cost than what the solar company was going to charge. Overall, myself and my parents have been very pleased with working with Kangaroof.
