The folks who run the lodge are GREAT - very accomodating, helpful, friendly, and hard working. You get the full high Uinta experience...Solitude, beauty, rugged scenery, afternoon rains, cool nights, great fishing, flowers, wildlife, and swarms of mosquitos. The dirt road up is well maintained. The lake is the perfect size for paddling around. The nearby trails are breathtaking.

This place is amazing! Clean cabins, and the owners are great people. Clean bathrooms, and the main lodge is spectacular. If you're looking to disconnect from everyday life, this is the place. No cell service, nor wifi. The fishing was great, and so was the paddle boarding. We will definitely be going back!

I came up here years ago and hiked to Dagget Lake. Then last year, I brought my wife up on a drive from Flaming Gorge Lodge and she said we had to visit and we did. We rented Lewis and Clark and both levels for several days. We had a great time. We loved the deck with room to set to the kitchen. The lake, wild life, weather (dry and wet), and the staff were all great! The toilets are nice and close. I don’t mind not having power or water and loved that there wasn’t WIFI or cell service.

I've been going here for almost 40 years now. Love it. For what you get the cabins are spendy (no inside water/electricity), but I have no problem dumping coin in to help keep the place running. Honestly though, you'll find the sound roof over your head worth the price when one of the common High Uintah torrential rain storms drops in. I've tented near here before and have been flooded out.Backpacking to some of the surrounding lakes is second to none. It's raw nature at its finest.

Went there on June 9, 2013. The place could have changed since.Stayed overnight on the first day it was opened. very friendly staff. property just changed hand. so they could not give us much information about the surrounding area.trails all very wet impossible to hike around the lake. no electricity. so take your stove. enough wood for heating. quite clean. but all in all very primitive. only shared toilet far away...$120 a night was too expensive, even though kids enjoyed.Visited again in Aug 2021. GrEAT! Updated!

We stayed at the Lewis and Clark cabins. The reservation was easy and check-in was simple. The GPS took us straight to the area even though it’s off the grid and high in the mountains. The main lodge is beautiful and I look forward to them being able to serve food in the future. They had fishing supplies, snacks, treats, and ice cream! Pricing was very reasonable and cheaper than if purchased at any event (park, fair, etc.).The cabins were great if you have reasonable expectations. These are "rustic" cabins without running water or electricity. The Lewis and Clark cabins have a large deck that was great to share with our group. The firepit was perfect for the evening fires and smores. The cabins were clean with surprisingly comfortable beds. We just took sleeping bags and slept on the beds. There is a small table inside but the rest is open space. They fireplace easily heated up the cabin and the lodge provides the wood to use inside the cabin. If you need more wood they will provide it as they like a cleaner wood used in the cabins. There is a lot of hiking around and many lakes. We hiked up to several of the lakes. The hiking wasn’t bad and easy for even the younger kids. The mosquitos were BAD! Of course this has nothing to do with the lodge or the beauty of the area. Bug spray wasn’t much help. I would strongly encourage having a mosquito plan (Tiki torches or something) when you go. We will definitely plan better for the mosquitos in the future. We ended up leaving early in the morning because the kids didn’t want to come out of the cabins due to the mosquitos. The owners are amazing! They were so incredibly friendly and accommodating. While we were they I overheard some guests forgot to bring plates and the lodge had closed. They opened up the lodge and made sure they got their plates!

Spirit Lake Lodge is great. I love how rustic the cabins are. The staff are all wonderful, and the lake itself is stunning. The hikes vary from super short and easy, to a full day of decently challenging, so what ever you're feeling up to is available.

This is a hidden secret at 10,200 feet. It is like stepping back in time. The cabins and the lodge are from the 30's. It was great to get away and truly unplug from the modern world. It is truly a camping experience without all of the trouble of setting up a camp. The air is clean and the views are amazing, beautiful hiking. I can not wait to return

Have to say, that our visit was the most relaxing, and enjoyable weekend ever. Maddy was a great host, took us along for a hike, that very interacting and patient with us and our Lab puppy. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much for this experience!

Never been to the area, called Lodge to check in on how busy they were for Labor Day weekend without intending to stay at lodge. Jordan was super helpful and informative of the area without having a sale to close in on. Kudos to customer service.
