Definitive Roofing and Solar was incredible to work with from Day 1. They worked well with my insurance company to help me get me new roof with very little out of pocket expense. My roof looks really good and they came back and did a wonderful job cleaning up so I didn't have nails in my grass or driveway. They were so fast and efficient and really made the process very smooth. Keaton the owner and Andy the project manager were very kind and knowledgeable. I knew they had my back and could be easily trusted. Rob also was great to work with to get the initial pictures and drone images. I would highly recommend them for your roofing needs!

Keaton and Christian were the best. They were available when needed and responded quickly to all of my questions. The install went exactly a I had hoped. I wasn't ready to do a roof and was hoping for a repair but working with Definitive was a great experience. Keaton, Daniel, and Andy were all fantastic. They did an excellent job of communicating with me before, during and after the project so that I knew what was going on, why and when. They made sure not to damage my new gutters, Christmas lights and heat tape and put the last 2 back in place when they were finished. And their clean up alone is worth the 5 stars because normally after construction clean up, there are still so many things, like nails I find that I have to pick up. They left virtually nothing! I have already recommended the to several people and will continue to do so. Thank you so much guys!!

Actually contacted Definitive by accident but Keaton showed up at the door having received our request for a roofing bid. He climbed onto the roof to determine the extent of the project before submitting a bid. He explained what they would do and how they would do it while also pointing out the extras they offer that most other roofers don’t. We accepted his bid on Friday. As promised he had a crew scheduled for the next Tuesday we had a new roof that evening. The crew and project manager (Andy) ensured that everything was cleaned up and took additional care to make sure there were no nails left on the ground. Andy also returned the next day and took another couple of hours cleaning up and residual scraps of roofing and nails. Rain gutter was replaced and we not have a beautiful roof and gutter.

Working with definitive had pros and consPros:- Keaton and his communication- Non-invasive inspection and estimate using drones and tech- Prompt completion once agreement was signed- Willingness to come back and make things right on multiple occasions- Gutter contractor they use does excellent work.- Roof looks good from street.- Financing options and Keaton’s flexibility- Price wasn’t increased after more work/material was required. Price is still high, but not as high as some other estimates I received.Cons: (these have more details in order to provide feedback for Keaton and team)- Biggest one - project/site manager Andy was very green and didn’t seem to have any control over the roofing crew. There was a miscommunication between Keaton/Andy and the actual roofing crew on key drip edge/fascia requirement and this required extra work from crew and caused frustration for everyone. The crew was also asking me (homeowner with no roofing experience) questions on how they should complete parts of the roof versus asking PM. They also asked me multiple times when the shingles would be delivered (also a question for PM). The crew left for lunch and were gone for 3+ hours and Andy had no idea where they were.- Roofing crew was paid piece-rate and missed some shingles/material etc during extremely fast tear-off. They had a speed is king mentality that doesn’t install confidence in the work done. I don’t have confidence that they inspected things thoroughly after tear-off.- Inspection after all work was completed by Andy missed many errors/issues that were later pointed out by my neighbor (general contractor). He was basically waiting for me to see the issues and didn’t catch any of them himself. This does not help you feel confident in the integrity of the work- Crew didn’t respect plants around my house and allowed their pneumatic cables to lay all over them. They used an area of sage as a walking path too (Keaton says he’ll reimburse if plants don’t come back(pro))- Crew lead and Andy had to come back 3-4 times after work was done to fix things up. (still ongoing)- Gutter team wouldn’t install until team came back and fixed drip edge issues. If that gutter team had less integrity, it could have been a big issue down the road if they installed over incomplete work- Lots of questions on overall quality of work as many nails along edge were bulging out, some shingles didn’t lay flat after they heated up enough, and attic had big pieces of debris in it after ridge vent was cut.- One gutter pooled water and leaked after first rain. Communication to get it fixed wasn’t great and required multiple follow-ups on my part.- Was promised transferable Certainteed warranty for all the issues, but never heard anything about it again or saw anything in the mail.- Shingle delivery occurred on area of roof that had unknown support issue. This cracked a large portion of my ceiling in my bathroom and will require me to contract out to get it fixed. Not their fault, but it could have been avoided if they looked in attic before delivery (this might be standard practice for roofers not to?). When they moved some of the shingle pallets after delivery, it sounded like an earthquake in my house too, so the crew might be able to improve that aspect.Update: after recent storms, there is also a leak that caused water damage to my ceiling and wall. We met Keaton at a home show in May 2023. We were fighting for insurance coverage to replace our tile roof that had sustained weather related damage during the winter. Keaton and his team came out and did a very thorough inspection and photo documented report to aide our public adjustor in fighting our roof claim. There were several months of frustration with our insurance and Keaton and his team stayed with us the whole way! Once we finally negotiated a settlement with our insurance, a few weeks ago, Definitive worked closely with us, our public adjustor and our insurance to replace our roof in the middle of two storms. The crews worked super efficiently in extreme weather with no complaints. They were great to work with. We highly recommend Definitive Construction, they will go above and beyond for you!

Keaton and his team at Definitive Roofing are incredible. Our roof started leaking in mid-October, and they were able to get someone out here within a day to take a look and get us a quote. Definitive also helped us through the insurance claim process. Keaton himself even came when the insurance adjuster came to inspect the roof, and in truly feel that was a huge reason why our insurance approved the claim. In addition, the roof itself was completed so quickly—just a couple of days, and they where so communicative the whole time. They do exactly what they say they will do. From the owner, to the job manager, to the workers on the job, everybody is terrific. One team took down the solar panels in a few hours. Then the roofers removed the old shingles and replaced them with such speed that the neighbors were surprised. Then the Solar team replaced the panels and tested everything. We highly recommend them all.
