Working with Dan Opton on our major primary bath renovation was awesome. I contracted with Blue Heron to do a complete master bath overhaul as well as some work for a damp basement, and cannot express enough how happy I am with not only the results but the quality of work, the organization of sub contractors, length of the project, expertise and communication with Dan Opton.When I decided to go with this project and work with Blue Heron, I had a general idea of what I wanted but Dan helped me narrow down my ideas and quickly had a day by day project schedule of what would happen when, who would be working at the house on what days and what pieces of the project would be complete by what date. This was followed pretty much to the day.Having been raised by a perfectionist engineer father who designed and was involved with every step of the building of our family homes, I inherited an eye for high quality work and the ability to notice even the smallest discrepancies in architectural quality (maybe it's a curse?) and Blue Heron didn't disappoint. The quality and attention to detail is superb, and whenever I had questions about the how's, Dan always took the time to explain.Blue Heron was fully dedicated to my bathroom project by being informative, honest, on time, and staying on budget. Dan was highly organized and always kept me in the loop when something on the schedule needed to change slightly. Working with Dan was a great experience and I can, without hesitation, recommend Dan and Blue Heron for anyone's construction needs.
