EDITED: While the renovation looked great and the bathroom appeared wonderful on the outside, there were problems with the plumbing. In less than six months (well within the year window of reporting issues) there was a major clog and a plumber had to come out to unclog and fix plumbing that was installed incorrectly. I reached out to Omar and he said everything was installed correctly, my plumber disagreed. $2,500 later (which is more than 10% of the project cost) I have to downgrade the previous review I gave.All Renovations installed a new bathroom for me and added a closet to create a bedroom. I am pleased with the work and they were easy to communicate with. I would recommend them.

"I would give All Renovations six stars if I could. They were fantastic at building my four season sunroom over a screened in patio. My plan was to interview and get estimates from three contractors. All Renovations was one of those three after I read about them in the "Best Picks Report for Loudoun County". All Renovations had the most experience and I felt more comfortable with Mir (the estimator) than the others. I was also happily surprised to have All Renovations come in with the lowest estimate. I could not be happier with the outcome of this difficult project. I have to admit that I did not think it was possible to tie this addition into my existing house without it looking like an addition but they did it! I had a very good experience with All Renovations. My first interaction with the company was with Mir the Estimator on the phone. He was friendly, professional and answered all questions. On the day of my appointment to discuss the project in person. He was on time and explained the process for the project. My next interaction was with Jim the Project Manager, he too was professional, friendly, and answered all my questions. Their communication was excellent. Each step of the permitting process was explained to me. When the project started, I met Tony, the on-site Project Manager. He and the construction crew were professional, courteous, and reported to the work site on time. The project was done timely. Any issues that I had were addressed immediately. My family and I are very please with the project completion. We are thrilled with the home office/guest room that All Renovations just completed for us. They were the lowest of 3 quotes that we got and I know cheapest isn't always best, but they had just done the same project elsewhere in our neighborhood and were recommended. Once the permit was finally done they got started within the week and we're amazed at how quick it came together. The crew showed up when we were expecting them, were really pleasant, and always put in full days. The existing garage roof demo and plywood frame/new roof were done in 4 days! Estimator Omar, project manager Jim, and crew chief Tony were all great to work with, very responsive, and were able to address all of our questions and any minor issues that needed to be addressed. The contract review was pretty straightforward and the progress payments were timely throughout the entire process. The contract references construction grade materials, so just work with Omar on any upgrades. For example, we upgraded from standard siding to Hardie siding, and preferred the wide baseboards, molding and trim. Jim (project manager) and Tony (foreman) did a great job keeping us apprised of next steps and inspection statuses given the number of other projects he and the team had going on at the same time. The crew was punctual working extremely hard Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The crew did a good job keeping our property clean and safe from debris and equipment. At one point during the process, the crew experienced rain during the concrete phase and to our surprise they built a temporary roof and one person worked well into the night to finish off the smoothing and drying. We really appreciated that dedication and attention to detail. When the electricity and lighting were being installed, I was asked where Id like the light switches so I directed one switch be installed on one of the entrance. Tony and the crew went above and beyond and installed two sets of light switches on both sides of the pool house french door entrances for convenience. I liked how they were extremely thoughtful and paid attention to details as if they were building their own project. We had All Renovations add a garage to the side of our house and it was an overall great experience! The new garage required moving utility lines, sump pump pipe, cables, re-routing vents and extending back into some space in our yard. We also had new gutters installed all around the house and the garage itself was fully insulated with an extra space in the back for a gym area. We had never done a big extension like this and the team provided great support, info and managed a complex project with ease. Mir provided great support with estimates and addresses all our questions and change requests with patience and friendliness, Jim provided prompt updates on the timeline and always kept us looped into the next step, while Tony led the work on site with efficiency and was always willing to show us what he was doing and ask questions as needed to ensure things were done right. While it took several months to get things done in the right order (permit approvals, inspections at different stages, coordination with the power company and waiting for things to come in), we never felt frustrated because we knew what was in motion at any given time. Had two condo bathrooms redone by All Renovations. Omar and crew were very quick/responsive to all our questions in the lead-up and during the project. Adrian did the actual renovation as a one-man crew and did an amazing job. High quality work and very pleasant to deal with. If we were to do it again, we would have built in more wiggle room in our budget for add-on expenses which came up during the project - either unforeseen or based on our requests.

All Renovations finished our basement adding approximately 1200 square ft to include a den and bathroom. Omar provided great suggestions on how to finish our basement based to incorporate our desire to keep a portion of the basement unfinished for storage. The scope of work was very detailed which provided clarity for such a big project.The foreman Ainea and his team did a great job finishing the project. The estimated time of completion was 6-10 weeks and they would have had the job finished right at 6 weeks (if not for a carpeting snafu that was not their fault). Once the carpet was delivered, they promptly came back to install and complete all finishing items. Communication was great. I enjoyed working with the entire team and will use their services for any future projects. Renovations did a fantastic job on my project.  They completely demo'd an old bathroom and put it back with a very nice update.  They were prompt and efficient.  They understood my budget limitations and worked hard to stay within them.  The crew was on time each day and worked very carefully.  They did the whole job from start to finish in just less than two weeks.  They were easy to deal with and even were able to make a few mid-project changes at my request with little added cost.  Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and the outcome.  I would use them again and certainly recommend them.

Working with All Renovations on my kitchen remodel has been an excruciating experience and one that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Do not hire them to work on your project unless you have the time and energy to act as your own project manager, defeating the purpose of hiring a contractor, and have extra cash set aside to deal with price hikes and correcting costly mistakes.On the plus side, I will say that everyone at All Renovations (Omar, Mir, Thomas, Mel) has been very pleasant and helpful when you can get a hold of them, but the problem is that they are frequently uncommunicative and are not adept at solving problems.First, let me address the timeline of my project. I was assured that my small kitchen was a “two week job.” From the time that I received permission from the condo association until completion, 15 months have elapsed.Getting permission from the condo association took a significant period of time (although All Renovations encouraged me to do the work without having it approved first). The condo association required me to get a new estimate. After asking to have an additional, 5ft., non-load bearing wall removed, All Renovations’ estimate increased by 54%. I would have lost my deposit if I had chosen not to accept the new terms. In retrospect, I wish I had written off the loss and chosen a new contractor.I had a very difficult time getting All Renovations to work on this project in a timely manner and had to text/e-mail/call regularly to get them to do any work. I got the impression that they were doing too many other jobs to care about mine. At various points in this project, more than three months elapsed with no contact or update from All Renovations (and four months between instances of work being done). I didn’t have a kitchen sink and running water for more than three months and decided to simply pay extra for the counter top installers to bring a plumber, because I knew that if I waited for All Renovations to take care of the plumbing, I could be left without running water for another three months.During the course of the project, we ran into several problems. First, we could not use the cabinets that I’d already purchased and the guys were incredibly helpful in helping me return them. Then, a wall could not be totally removed because of utility pipes. All Renovations did not offer any creative solutions to this problem, leaving me to solve it with the help of an architect friend. This was yet another example of me needing to be my own project manager, rather than being able to rely on the one that I was paying to handle the renovation.Regularly, work would be done without any advance warning (a surprise when they only show up every few weeks or months). For example, I had no warning when they did final demolition on my existing kitchen. I had a few dirty dishes in the sink that I ultimately had to take to a friends’ house to wash. Recently, they showed up again while I had house guests, who were really upset that a stranger had been in the house.Finally, I would not put faith in All Renovations’ attention to detail. For example, because of a miscommunication between All Renovations and their designer, I ended up with a sink that was not centered, but on the extreme left of the sink “cut out” in the upper cabinets. This mistake forced me to spend an extra $1,000 on new upper cabinets. More recently, I was told that the work was completed, despite the fact that there was a hole in the ceiling from where a light fixture was moved; outlet covers were not reinstalled after some additional electrical work was completed; my range still isn’t properly installed; and the crown molding has nail holes where no filler was used. This has been a constant theme of the entire renovation: the team at All Renovations has relied on me, someone with a full time job and no construction experience, to make punch lists and manage the project.I hope that this review helps other people avoid the mistake that I made by hiring All Renovations.

We hired All Renovations to redo our master bathroom and are extremely pleased with the finished product. This was a modest renovation and we appreciated that no one tried to sell us anything more than what we were looking for. The process from getting the estimate to the finish was smooth and uncomplicated. Rocky and his crew were pleasant, respectful, and carefully cleaned up after themselves each day. Rocky and Omar were both readily available by phone, text or e-mail when we had questions. The work was done in a timely manner. There was a project manager and a foreman who lead a team of workers/subcontractors. Everyone was professional. They were patient with many questions I had, and when issues came up, they were very accommodating and worked with me on a resolution. We are very happy with how our project turned out, and won't hesitate to call them for another quote when a project comes up.

I could not have been more pleased with the work Omar and Edwin from All Renovations did on our house. We had started out trying to remodel our house (built in 1978) ourselves, but quickly found ourselves in over our heads, with several half finish projects and no interest in finishing anything we started. I was initially very concerned with how much it would cost to have someone come in and fix everything we had done. All Renovation's pricing was very reasonable, and Omar was very professional and easy to work with.All Renovations re-drywalled and tiled an upstairs bath/shower; installed a light fixture; drywalled the family room; removed wallpaper, finished and trimmed the kitchen walls; hung a door frame and door; carpeted all bedrooms and basement room; and painted all rooms and ceilings on the main and upper level.I was worried because I live out of town and was not sure how the communication would be. Omar and Edwin communicated every step of the way, from the moment we requested an estimate, until the time the job was done, through phone calls, emails, and text messages. They even sent me pictures of areas they had questions with as well as the finished product. I really appreciated this, as it made the whole process much easier for me.Although we had a sizable amount of work that needed to get done, everything was done on schedule and stayed within budget. Omar gave me several options and suggestions when discussing the best way to finish the bathroom we had initially tried to retile. I was truly impressed with their knowledge and workmanship, and I felt like they had the best interest of my home (and my budget) in mind at all times. At no point did I feel like Omar tried to "upsell" any services.I was extremely pleased with All Renovations and would use them again for future renovations and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

I can't say there were great, but rather they were amazing. We have owned our house for over twenty years and it was time for a kitchen remodeling. Spoke to a few other companies but went ahead with All Renovations after I meet the owner who came out to measure everything. As soon as they started the work they accommodated to every whim we had. They knocked out this job within two weeks and it looks like someone spent months on it. They redid the floors adding the laundry as an added bonus that we did not ask for, all new cabinets, granite counter tops and even helped the appliance guys to move in everything. They did such a great job that we decided to remodel out dated master bathroom. We didn't even get another person to look into it. We scheduled the remodel and like clock work they started. We got a new shower tub that had an issue with the insulation. He didn't hesitate and put brand new insulation in the bathroom wall. He mentioned it and said not to worry about the price it is his way of saying thank you for the second job. Find a contractor that will do that for you. Change the floors, the toilet and a new vanity. To finish the job said pick a color and he will paint it for us. We picked a color and it was done. They spend two days and again i had some requested to change the bathroom and we once didn't hear him say no. He gave us suggestions on his expertise but did whatever we wanted. Love this company. We are about to use them to paint our downstairs living room and put brand new lights in there as well. Not to mention getting a fan in our master bedroom, which I have been asking my wife for years. BATHROOM REMODEL:We recently bought a house built in 1956 which still had two bathrooms mostly in its original condition barring toilets and sinks. Although in great shape for its age, it was time for a remodel. After much research, I inquired All Renovations for the work that I would need. After a few discussions and many questions, I hired them as all my questions/concerns were answered and we agreed in writing with a contract. The crew was impressive: talented, efficient, detailed and neat. Serious demo was required as the 50’s building practice for tile involves about 3”plus of concrete and lath behind the tiles (no concrete boards back then). The team got through most of it in one day. I could go on forever about the details but here is what makes them special to me:1. Good, polite and patient customer service that address all details and include them in a contract.2. Skilled crew that is capable to blend current construction practice with those from 60 years ago, for example matching the thickness of old plaster/steel lath walls with current drywall, Durock and tile.3. Attention to detail with all work done including how the wall and floor tiles were laid and finishing trim to match the original 50’s trim.4. Relationships with other professionals for referrals such as tile & flooring, cabinetry, and glass.5. Capable to suit customization and flexible to let me finish where I desire.6. Neatness. Let’s face it, demo/construction renovations are messy but they did a good clean up when all done.I already have contracted All Reno for more jobs and I confidently refer them to anyone.BUILD A 2-CAR DETACHED GARAGE & ENTRANCE PORTICO:In addition to renovating our two bathrooms, we also contracted All Renovations to build a portico addition at the front of our house and a two-car detached garage at the rear of the house. We could not be happier with the results.As the name of the company suggests, they do all kinds of renovations. However, this does not mean a single team of guys do all the various construction projects. Instead, All Renovations provided different teams of skilled specialists. There was a team that prepared the sites, dug and poured the footers, and built the foundation. There was a carpentry team that did the framing, set the engineered trusses, and finishing. There was a roofing team, a siding team, a gutter and flashing team, a garage door installer, and a concrete team that framed and poured the garage floor. There also were two foremen who coordinated and oversaw the project, trades and inspections.The benefit of having of all these teams is the overall high level of quality to all aspects of the job. The portico that was added to the 60-year-old house looks like it was original to the house. The architectural details of the portico match the house as does the profile and color of the siding, flashing, and the roof shingles as it was tied in to the existing entrance gable. These same architectural features were also included into the new detached garage resulting in one that truly compliments and “fits” with the original house.The fact that the All Renovations teams have the skill and desire to apply their talent is special. I have been an accomplished “DIY’er” for more than 20 years but I am in awe of the work they have done. I recognize and fully appreciate the skills of these specialist. I feel fortunate that I chose All Renovations for my projects and I’m certain that anyone choosing All Renovations will have similar results.

From start to finish, All Renovations (Mir) was very responsive which is important to find a contractor who is. We were moving back into the area and Mir was wonderful in working with us through email and phone. We were nervous to have work done while not there to see what was going on but pictures were sent and any concerns were addressed either by Mir or Jose. They made it so easy for us. We were extremely pleased when we finally showed up to see our home and the work done. Would highly recommend All Renovations!

The end result is what counts. I rate that an "A". I had an overall design in mind and wanted a contractor experienced with basements. I also want a contractor I could work with as I knew there would be a few changes as work progressed.Initially I worked with Omar to layout the contract. That took about a week as we needed to have as many details specified as possible as to what work and material All Renovations was to provide and what I was to do and provide. After the contract was signed there was only one major change affecting the price. That was to move some plumbing and electrical wires that would interfere with installing the drywall in the ceiling.In the contract all the labor was included, even for material that I was to provide. I provided the flooring (2/3 floating vinyl and 1/3 porcelain tile), crown and shoe molding, wall and trim paint, and the wet bar cabinets.Adrian, the foreman, was in charge and did the carpentry, plumbing and electrical. He also advised me of any issues with the design and suggested approaches to make things look right. He also knows the county code and has an eye for aesthetic placement of lights, outlets, doors, entries, etc. The dry wall, painting and laying the floor was done by subs.Basements are difficult places to work with due to the stairs, utility area (HVAC, water heater, well), walls that are not straight, and floors that are not quite level.Adrian was dedicated to the finished quality of the work. He inspected daily the work of the subs. He provided them with instructions and any problems with their work were corrected.The project took about 3 months, longer than expected, but I rated the finished job an "A".

Construction of a detached garage, with a two-car-wide carport bridging between the garage and the house. Omar and Jim were very straightforward about everything (costs and schedules, and changes to each as warranted). Both were quick to respond to requests and questions. While I rate Price as A, since All Renovations did come in as the lowest bidder of the builders responding to my request for quote, remember that this is northern Virginia construction costs, and anything you think of after-the-fact or didn't have clearly established with any builder will result in price escalation. Also expect the unexpected. Final cost over original estimate was a little more than 10%, which is what I expected from the start. It should not be looked upon negatively as it concerns All Renovations. Make sure everything is in order for work outside the scope of All Renovations. I needed a tree root pruning before the foundation could be started, but I didn't have it ready in time as the schedule required. The All Renovations crew needed to clear the roots to keep on schedule, as the arborist wasn't available for another full week due to schedule movement as a result of inclement weather. It cost more for All Renovations to do the root removal so the foundation could be laid, but that is because I didn't have it synchronized ahead of their schedule.

I am very pleased with the entire experience on this project and with the final result. The project manager promised to assign my project to his best foreman and he did. He is an exceptionally skilled professional with excellent work ethic. He was very comfortable with each and every construction task including framing, tiling, dry-walling, woodwork, electrical wiring and painting. The newly finished basement with brand new built sauna from a sauna kit look and work great. I highly recommend this team for a home improvement project.
