Ken, Ana, and their crew were amazing!We hired Elite Contracting to do our Master Bathroom remodel after seeing their outstanding work on a complete home rebuild two doors down from us.The entire process was effortless and even somewhat enjoyable. During the design phase, they sent detailed renderings to help us decide on a general layout. During material selection they suggested alternatives that wound up saving us thousands of dollars.The actual work went even smoother than we could have hoped. The first thing their crew did on day one was to cover everything to avoid damage. The last thing they did each day was to thoroughly clean up. Several friends who stopped by during the rebuild and had similar work done commented on how well they tidied up after each workday.Ken, Elite’s owner, met with us each morning to make sure we were happy. Choosing a contractor was as difficult as it was frustrating in the beginning. Many places were unresponsive, too “busy” or would only take your project if you’d spend “X” dollars. I hated this process and thought it would never end, but that was until I came across Elite Contractors Services on Angies. Their gallery on Angies doesn’t speak to the true breadth and diversity of work he has done (I’ve told him, he needs to put more photos up, LOL - a little joke between him and I) but after working with him I understand why he hasn’t; he and his wife are busy responding to and making sure his customers are happy. We met Ken soon after engaging him. He is a very pleasant man with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the construction industry, and although he loves to have a good laugh he’s also a straight shooter, which I greatly appreciate. To have a General Contractor be as responsive and interested in your project was a breath of fresh air; even better was that he continued this responsiveness throughout the entire project!Once we had a contract established Ken put us in touch with his excellent Architect Ned. With his excellent eye for design and helpful suggestions, we were very pleased with our final design and couldn't be happier. We were ready and so was Ken. Some preliminary engineering checks were performed on our foundation and it was discovered that we didn’t have sufficient footers to support a second-story. Ken gave us the options we had and so we moved ahead with the additional scope of underpinning our foundation and lowering our basement by two feet since the slab would be destroyed.It was January 2022 at this point and even with supply chain constraints (especially with wood), COVID and inflation craziness Ken as he was somehow ahead of the curve and prepared enough with our project to be able to provide us with a 6 month estimate for everything to complete (July timeframe). I was skeptical to say the least and especially anxious because I had a construction loan with an interest rate lock banking on this man’s estimate.The underpinning was completed in two months as promised, all done by hand, insane!! The second story began and we were able to meet the entire Elite Contractors Service’s family! The workers Ken employs are all amazing people and excellent professionals who work exceedingly hard and put their heart and souls into their craft. They were also so efficient, they ripped off our old roof, and put up the new roof within a week. and even though they didn’t have to during those few days in between, they placed a huge tarp over our place to protect our home. I felt they treated our home as if it was their own home. In comparison, a house down the street from us was roof-less for a month before they got their materials in to build; meaning it was exposed to the weather and elements. During the project I was introduced to Ana Blanco, Ken’s better half who helped us with expenses, material purchasing such as tile, vanities, fixtures, lighting etc. She was super sweet, helpful and made that process straightforward and worry-free. When the finishing touches were ready to be made, Ken’s team were once again so helpful. They would ensure every detail was accounted for, especially specifics, such as mirror, light heights, or the placement of vanities for example. They painted and touched up spaces part of renovation, but also spaces that were affected indirectly by construction, and of course corrected any issues you had immediately. Ken called this his “Elite Treatment”, and Elite it was!My wife and I put our faith in Ken wholeheartedly, and we are glad we did, even with a few ordering issues and special orders he and his team were still able to hit the promised 6 month mark almost perfectly! I never thought I would rave about an experience with a contractor, but this company is exceptional. We were looking for someone to renovate the downstairs. From the moment we called Elite, they have been diligent, hard-working, and responsible. And the work is beautiful. They completely reconstructed the walls to create a hallway, closed off and renovated a bedroom, completely renovated and enlarged the bathroom, completely renovated the kitchen, and added two windows. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and organized. From the first call, he came by when he said he would, and when the work started, he came by regularly to check on the progress and ensure we were happy with the work. He explained everything, talked through the permit process, explained the requirements to ensure that everything was up to code, and gave us a detailed contract which I have never seen from another contractor. The workers came every day, started working at 8am promptly, and worked until 5pm or after. They were polite, respectful, hard-working, and their work was beautiful and sturdy. They did great work that will last for a very long time. And promptly! They completed a complete renovation in less than two months, and the work is absolutely beautiful. Prior to this, we had had only horrible experiences with contractors. This experience was wonderful. We will call them for everything going forward, will certainly use them again, and highly highly recommend.

We hired Elite to renovate our mid century home. We presented Ken with a BIG challenge: to renovate almost every part of our home under a VERY tight schedule and to work with us as we made many last minute changes to our evolving design. I recently purchased a new home that had hardwoods downstairs and wall to wall carpeting upstairs, both of which would have done very poorly with my dog. And the bathroom was straight out of 1981: dark, cramped, not a good set up. I had used Ken and his team for a much more major renovation project in a different home last year and had a great experience so I contacted him again to look at new floors (LVP) and a full bathroom remodel.I gave him my budget and my schedule (which was a little tight since I was trying to minimize the amount of time I needed to pay both rent and a mortgage). He looked it over, made great recommendations and then made it all happen on budget and early.Unfortunately I didn’t think to take “before” pictures but the new bathroom is terrific—bright, spacious, and modern. The floors look great. And Ken and his guys did all of this in three weeks—with Christmas in the middle.When I told friends that I had a contractor doing work for me on the new place before I moved in, they expressed surprise that I was able to find one. When I explained that I had worked with him before and had complete trust in him, the surprise increased. But Ken and his team met or exceeded every expectation I had, once again. If there were six stars, I would give them twice!!! This was our first large home improvement project and we had LOADS of questions. Ken met with us during the design phase of the project and explained options that allowed us to save money, but get everything we wanted in a high-end addition. Ken was also uber patient with this DIYer who wanted to be part of the build process and do less technical elements of the work. Ken and his team were great. I didn't worry about much. Everyday the team showed up on time like clockwork. Progress went as expected and communication was generally clear and concise. When issues arose it was easy to get hold of Ken or Ana. The project was big but it was completed in the time frame given. The workers cleaned up after everyday and our yard was kept as neat as possible during construction. I never felt like I was being taken for a ride especially given the trust one puts in a builder. Renovations are stressful but I think that this was as smooth and easy as it can be. The quality of the work was also really high and we feel confident that if there are any problems that it will be resolved quickly. Excellent, could not have gone better. The owner and his wife run the business and they are both hands-on people and love their work. Very good communication. They provide excellent workmanship and materials and they pay attention to detail. Great warranty service as well. They also provide excellent help with making choices on cabinets, lighting, counter-tops, tile, siding, etc. Spotless cleanup after the work. We remodeled one split level built in 1958 and did a 1400sqft addition. It was a massive project and we had a construction loan. It was delivered on-time and a little over-budget, mostly due to our own oversight and enhancements. For larger projects I recommend a contingency fund which saved us. For another project it was a 3 level townhouse that was completely remodeled, and new siding, new portico, new windows, doors, kitchen bathrooms, floors, everything. It was done on-time and on-budget. I recommend a detailed review of your contract items so that you include everything you expect. You will also need to spend some time on-site to make choices about electrical and plumbing locations, how doors will open, how cabinets will fit, as well as time in their office making choices for materials. You will not regret having Elite do your project.

They did a partial remodel of our basement, built a wet bar, gym, guest rooms and we are extremely satisfied. Ken, the owner/general manager was extremely responsive and always answered our questions. His crew was very professional and always on time every morning. They stuck to the timeline we agreed upon. The crew was very clean with tidying up the debris before the weekend started and after construction was completed. They did an amazing job! I called Ken as one of my five quotes for a basement bathroom. Some of the reasons I chose Ken over the other four companies were: he was honest and straightforward from the start, clear in how the allowances worked, available to answer my questions, and transparent regarding permitting. The other four companies failed in at least one of those areas, hence choosing Ken’s company. I felt confident in Ken and his team.I worked with Ana to pick the various fixtures, and she made the process very easy by ordering everything. Riane also assisted with choosing some items so that they met code or worked within the measurements necessary. Both were great and I appreciated their follow up in communications. Excellent communication with contractors is hard to find, so this really helped the process go smoothly.When the job started, the first thing they did on site was post the permits. This is a small detail but with very large implications. It shows that they do things, even the smallest things, by the book. My basement didn’t even have a rough in, so there were a number of places cutting corners could be really bad down the line, and every day I felt better and better about my choice in companies.Ken also came to the site each day, something that other companies don’t always do. He was able to answer any questions I had and made sure to listen to the fine details in my overall design choice. His crew was respectful of my property and were pleasant to interact with when I would check in on the work. I have had a bathroom remodel in the past that was essentially the complete opposite, so it was great to feel like my money was well spent all around.I didn’t have any issues or set backs along the way, and we communicated well about fine detail adjustments like my preference for a different trim type than they installed (which I should have noted this earlier in the process). For those various details, all the way down to the type of light switch I wanted, I let them know and they delivered.I’m so pleased with the end result - it’s exactly what I had pictured in my mind. I would absolutely choose Ken’s company again for any project and have already recommended them to a friend. Hire them. Elite Contractors Services, Ken and Ana, just completed another fantastic job on a huge remodeling project for us. A few years ago, Elite remodeled one room in our basement and when we were ready for a much bigger project (kitchen and second story master bedroom additions) we knew exactly whom we wanted to work with. Both a few years back, and during this project, his team went above and beyond anything we could have expected and were dedicated to getting every detail perfect. Another reviewer has written that Ken has assembled a group of artisans and we could not agree more. Many of the workers were the same folks who had worked on our basement a few years ago; the fact that his people stick with the company for many years speaks volumes for Ken and Ana’s integrity. We have been extremely happy with the quality and care of work done by Ken and his team at Elite Contractor Services. Our project was to demo an old side porch and hot tub deck and replace them with a new mudroom, powder room, and screened-in porch in the same footprint. We are so happy with the work Elite did that we are moving ahead with them on a second, larger renovation project.We initially spoke with Ken about our project before the pandemic. Out of the three contractors we consulted, his estimate came in the middle. We went with the low estimate—not with Ken. It would have saved us time, trouble, and money if we had gone with him to begin with!The other contractor backed out of the project at the last minute, so we wound up coming back to Ken after we already had plans and permits approved by the city from the other contractor. The first contractor’s low bid had grown substantially through the planning process—Ken bid almost exactly the new number and finished the project with only 4% cost growth (mostly due to a mutually-agreed change in the heating/cooling system). Whenever minor design challenges came up, Ken worked with us to find a solution that made us happy while also keeping costs under control.One of the most important things to us was safety and care on the job site, and Ken’s team was spectacular. They were conscientious about wearing masks and made sure that the site was safe. They also worked hard to minimize the amount of mess created when they had to work in the main part of the house. Ken’s team was careful, thorough, and did high quality work. Ken visited the work site frequently to check on how things were going and keep us well-informed.We are very happy with our new mudroom, powder room, and screen porch, and are looking forward to working with Elite Contractor Services on our larger renovation later this summer.Service: Remodeling

It gives me great pleasure to write this review for Elite Contractors Services Inc. Our journey with them began when our dishwasher decided that we needed a kitchen remodel. Our neighbors referred Elite to us and had nothing but great things to say about the work Elite did for them. From the first time I met Ken I knew he was the one who could mend the damage done to our family home.During our initial visit, I shared my ideas with Ken. Some of the ideas I had could be done, while other ideas Ken advised against as he saw it as nothing more than spending additional money without achieving the results I wanted. It is rare to find a company that will provide this kind of advice.The contract we signed was based off a payment for completion timeline. For example, the first payment was due upon completion of the demo. This continued throughout the project; payments were not due until milestones were completed. When I asked Ken about this, he said, “It’s not your responsibility to make sure my team gets paid, that’s my responsibility. You will not pay anything to me until your project reaches each of these milestones.”Elite estimated 3 months to complete our project, but we were finished in 9 weeks. Your project is Elite’s priority and Ken is on site daily ensuring that every detail is perfect! His team is skilled, professional, courteous, respectful, and will not miss a single detail. This also extends to those with whom he sub-contracts.The other half of this amazing duo is Ana. Ana handles the design and selection of finishes for the project. Ana has a keen eye for choosing the perfect compliments to your desired outcome. She is honest and not afraid to share an opinion which my wife and I truly appreciated. Her knowledge of design, trends, and price points really set her apart from any of her competitors. She will never try to upsell you and when presenting options, all of them are within your budget.They are phenomenal communicators! Every time my wife and I had a question, they promptly responded. We were never left wondering about anything. I have heard horror stories about other contractors not returning phone calls or emails. This simply does not happen with Ken and Ana. Both of them told us if we ever have questions, do not hesitate to ask them. Ken and his team were professional, responsive, efficient, and conducted great work throughout the duration of our home gut-renovation. The crew showed up at 7am each day, and tidied up the work site before leaving in the evening - a full six days a week. The crew were extremely clean and polite! Ken, who owns the company, checked in with us daily via email, phone, or text - and met with us in person once a week to go over progress and address any of our questions at the site. He was personally involved throughout the project and was a pleasure to work with -- an all-around pleasant, friendly, and wonderful person.Not only did Ken provide creative ideas and solutions to meet our needs, but he repeatedly and proactively sought out more economical options for some of the required sub contract work - including our roof shingle replacement, and custom doors, for which he got us multiple quotes to review (and we didn't even have to ask!). He never tried to sell us anything we didn't need, and never charged us more than was required. On the few occasions when there was an issue or change required, all we needed to do was email or call Ken, and it would be addressed the next day.The crew did high quality work from top to bottom - with especially beautiful woodworking skills on our fireplace mantle and staircase. In some areas, Ken and the crew even went above and beyond what we asked for to create beautiful, custom details - and we were incredibly happy with the result.Ken's wife, Ana, who manages the design side of the company, was also a pleasure to work with. She met with us several times to guide us through our kitchen remodel and created highly realistic 3D renderings to help us visualize our new kitchen and make decisions. She too was very responsive with helping us over email and text any time we had a question about an item for purchase or design element.The entire gut renovation of our 4-story town home - including replacing all of the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, floors, kitchen, and 4 bathrooms - took just 3 months TOTAL! We couldn't believe how efficiently the crew worked, while also turning out such good work.We have several friends who have remodeled their homes in recent years and NONE have ever reported a such a positive experience with their GC. Our neighbors, on the other hand, who recommended Elite, had only RAVE reviews. We are so happy with our decision go with Elite and encourage anyone considering hiring them to do so - it was a great experience, and we are extremely happy with our new and improved home.
