His installers were friendly, very professional, and exceeded my expectations for the quality of the work.M Gen has been our go-to contractor for over 8 years. They have previously replaced my roof and front door/sidelite assembly with the same level of fair pricing and quality of workmanship, so there was only one company to call for this most recent project.Residential contractors have a reputation of being difficult to work with and less than professional. M Gen Contracting is neither and deserve your call for your next home project!

I highly recommend M. Gen Contracting for extremely detailed, high quality work. We had a number of windows and siding that were leaking every time it rained. Since M. Gen worked on these areas, everything has been bone dry and I don't dread the rain anymore!I should add, just two months prior,(before we had heard about how great M. Gen Contracting was), we had had another contractor come out, charge us a lot of money to "fix" these same areas, and they leaked even worse after they left. They offered no warranty on their work so it was a complete waste of money.Bottom line: M. Gen will take the time do it right on the first go round. If you don't want to waste time or money, go with M. Gen!

Amazing from start to finish! Minh and his team are on time, knowledgeable, and professional. They were able to install a new door and siding which fixed a leak we had been dealing with for years. Multiple other contractors claimed to have “fixed” this leaky door but the problems always reoccurred. Thank you for solving the door of doom. We Highly recommend M. Gen Contracting!!!

We had Minh come out to investigate a window that had a leak coming in the frame. They were very responsive, prompt, and transparent through the entire project. They did thorough research and found the multiple small causes that combined to make the leak. …They didn’t simply put down a bead of caulk and walk away.I was out of town at the time of the actual repair, however min and his crew provided multiple photos to me documenting everything that was found and all of the fixes they performed.We are very happy with the outcome and we have definitely added them to our contacts for any future needs! M Gen did a complete roof replacement for me due to hail & wind damage. I could not have been more pleased with both the service, professionalism, and quality of their work. This was an insurance claim. Minh (owner) was helpful and patient as my claim worked its way through the system. I never once felt pressured to make any unnecessary upgrades or additional work that was not needed. I personally feel that they went above and beyond in order to ensure my total satisfaction. I highly recommend M Gen for home contracting needs.UPDATE (4/2024): I recently contracted M Gen to repair a rotted exterior trim around my sliding door at my deck. They removed the rotted pieces and installed a metal capping system. As expected, it came out perfect and I couldn’t be happier. The professionalism and service of this company is unmatched. From the owner down to the newest employee, everyone is friendly and knows what they are doing. I highly recommend M Gen for both roofing and window capping.

I highly recommend M. General Contracting for roofing work!We knew when we bought our house in 2018 that it would need a new roof, so every time I saw a post in my neighborhood facebook page asking for roofing recommendations, I took note of the names I saw listed over and over. Minh/M. General Contracting is by far the most recommended name. Minh is very responsive/helpful and his team was professional and did a great job with the install/clean up. We've used Minh on 3 occasions, all 3x on our investment property here in Sterling, VA. Back in 2015, we had a roof leak in multiple parts of the house. He replaced our roof within a day and I haven't seen a single moisture spot since. We hired him again in 2018 for the front siding. This job took only 2 days to complete. The crew was extremely nice, communicative and thorough. They replaced all the rotting wood with material that will most likely outlast the house itself so we never need to worry about it again. Given the extremely great pricing, timeliness and professionalism, we hired him a 3rd time for a smaller roof replacement (that was separate from the 2015 job) and his crew knocked it out in a few hours while leaving the current tenants undisturbed and satisfied. Overall, it has been nothing but a positive experience throughout all these years. We would definitely recommend Minh for all future siding/window/roof projects.

They arrived early got straight to work. I wasnt there but my fiance said that Minh was there and worked alongside his team. They cleaned up when finished and the roof looks amazing. I will be looking at other services that he may be able to help me complete. His quote was complete and thorough without al the "fluff and most of all it was fairly priced. He sent me documentation on materials and guarantees included in my quote. There was also multiple payment methods which i truly appreciated. Texted Minh on Thursday afternoon after I noticed some shingles missing from my roof (saw them with my drone). Minh responded right away and said he could send a member of his team the next day. The next day someone from his team came and quickly replaced my missing shingles and also took photos for me of the completed job. Very efficient and easy to communicate with. Had an amazing experience with Minh and his team, they initially came out and inspected out roof after I found a small leak in the attic. He did some repairs at the time since we weren't ready to do a full roof install. Nearly a year later he honored the quote he gave us originally and his team did an amazing job, they were in and out the same day and came by a few days later to inspect the work and do a residual cleanup. Minh was honest and explained everything thoroughly. He gave me a quote without coming out, and as a first time customer dealing with roof repairs I was afraid of the 'unknown' expenses adding up. Minh and his company are great. I had M-Gen fix my portico that leaked from the rooftop down to the post. Allan did a great job on fixing the damaged structures and installing new roof membrane.Minh’s honesty saved me a lot of money. We had to wait for almost half a year for new railings due to Covid but on the day of the installation he told me that they were able to reuse my original railings due to no damages caused from the removal. That saved me money and potential issues with my HOA since it was hard to find railings that matched with the old ones.Communicating with Minh was also easy. Minh helped me with my front entry door from start to finish and gave me valuable information along the way. He was available even in the late hours when I texted him to give me his opinion on questions I had on different types of door and also the hardware. His opinion was very helpful as I am very indecisive and his recommendation was spot on. He connected me with someone who did their door recently when I didn't know what color to pick and one of the colors I was contemplating was the door he had recently installed. That was very valuable as I could see what the actual color would look like vs a swatch. I also had so many questions on different types of door (fiberglass vs steel) and he was very patient and gave me pros and cons for me to decide. I ended up going with the Provia steel door in nighfall color. His installation team came and installed the door in 3-4 hours and noticed that the door came damaged. Minh immediately went to work on getting the replacement door and although my initial door took 3 months to get here, my replacement door arrived in 3 weeks. I LOVE my new door! He started off with a roof inspection that was very detailed including tons of photos to document everything he noted and provided detailed explanations on the work to be done. He performed a roof tune-up, replaced some siding, and repaired our portico at a tremendously reasonable cost. Again with tons of photos.
