Furlongs installed the original HVAC in my house, which was built in 2001, and have continued to service it on a regular basis.When my furnace went out on a Sunday, Nathan came out quickly to diagnose the problem, which turned out to be that I needed a new furnace. Mandy and Jessica, receptionists, were very patient in answering my many questions(pleas) as to when they’d be able to install the new furnace. When I went in to borrow space heaters, which they had offered to deliver, I had an opportunity to meet Landon, the owner. I really appreciated him making arrangements to have a new furnace installed two days later. Tony and Brad, the installers, were puntual in arriving on a very cold, rainy day. They took the time to test out and explain the system, which was difficult given my limited knowledge. I would highly recommend their services.

What can I say? Very honest and fast service, it makes a world of difference when the owner really runs the business. Not only did he make a visit after an emergency call, but he also repaired the ductwork immediately. Besides this, Mr. Furlong is a good person. Sure recommend!!!

Not responsive to needs other than setting up seasonal maintenance checks - this they rock at. They respond to calls and emails but there’s no follow through after that. You have to keep pinging them. Considering a new company once my current year is done. I had high expectations but they haven’t panned out.

My wife and I bought our newly constructed house in 1990. Furlong's was the HVAC installer. I knew Landon(the owner) as a customer of mine when I worked retail. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see he and his crew were the installers. In 2016, we needed to replace the unit. Again, we bought it from Furlong's. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving this year, our heat pump froze during that cold snap. I called them. They responded quickly and did our needed repairs. The service was excellent. The technician was professional and courteous, and on time as promised. We have been, and always will be loyal to FURLONG'S SHEET METAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them !!!

So I sold a home in 2020 and they never explained the Seer rating and honestly if I remember correctly never gave me an option to upgrade this was their solution! Well beware you have to have at least 16 to claim energy efficient after paying overpriced fees for a new unit and not being able to claim it on your personal taxes. Then in my new home my AC was acting up and was told to call this same company not realizing it was the same company I used for the sale of my previous home. Well they told me I needed a whole new AC unit and charged an outrageous fee for coming to take a look! I called a secondary company and they fixed my AC with a 50$ part that has sustained for 2 years so uhh why did they tell me 12,000$ for a new one? Great service! The technician Alex saved me a LOT of money getting the sediment out of the condensor coils. instead of having to replace the whole condensor. He recharged the unit and everything is working well since last year at this time. Thanks Furlongs!

My husband and I just moved into a new home, and we found our A/C wasn't working when we started moving in! We asked my parents, who have lived in Winchester for over 20 years, and their only recommendation was Furlong's! They installed their A/C unit when they moved to the area, and has always been an amazing help when they needed it serviced! We called them, on a Saturday, left a message on their emergency line, and got a call back withing 10 minutes. We explained the situation, that we had tried every solution we could think of to remedy it on our own, and nothing worked, and the man we spoke to, Martin, agreed to come take a look at it. He told us he could be at our house within an hour, which was incredible! He arrived in about 45 minutes, and figured out the problem so quickly, and had it fixed in no time. It turns out the breaker was tripped, and it's an ods breaker that needs some more force than usual to flip it off then on again to reset it. An easy fix! He could've easily fixed it for us, given us the bill and left, but while we were chatting, ai had told him we are first time home buyers, so he generously gave us a quick lesson in HVAC maintenance! He left us with some very vaulable knowledge that will help us out so much in our homeowner's journey. We were so happy with the visit. Yes, we did have to pay the emergency rate if time and a half, but it was so worth it to be able to establish a relationship with Martin, and get his expertise on home care for our HVAC system. We will absolutely be recommending Furlong's to anyone who needs their service, we couldn't be happier! Thank you Furlong's!!

I built a house in Clarke County, VA last year and Furlong's Sheetmetal was my mechanical contractor. This is a first class firm that delivered very high quality service and products on schedule every step of the way at a very reasonable and competitive cost. They installed a six-zone geothermal system in the house and every aspect of the installation was flawless. I've used the system now for a complete heating and cooling cycle and am completely impressed at how comfortable and quiet everything is, not to mention how inexpensive it is to operate. All of the system hardware is inside the house and even under full load requirements, the system is only slightly louder than a refrigerator, absolutely amazing. Many thanks to each Furlong employee who contributed to the effort, but special mention and extreme gratitude to Landon Furlong, founder and owner; Byron Furlong who managed most of the technical aspects of the job; and Jason and Jerry who completed much of the installation in first-class fashion. These men truly care about the work they do and I'm proud to endorse their firm.

If I could give this company 0/5 stars, I would. We initially called them for service due to our ac system failing, the coils continued to freeze and thus no cool air in 90 degree weather. They proceed to visit over a span of 3 days to “clean the unit” “test for leaks” and once a leak was detected in our system, the tech then proceeds to cut a hole in our wall, only to leave it open and tell us he’d be back the next day. The next day comes, he then tells us the hole in our wall didn’t need to be cut and that he can fill the system with essentially a “fix a flat” product to help the leaks hold pressure. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then, they’ve had to come out multiple times to “check” the system that continues to fail instead of actually repairing the issue or consulting for a replacement unit, these guys want to just milk your wallet for what it’s worth and not give you any sort of peace of mind. What kind of HVAC company arrives and leaves the system broken? It’s RARE. Unless parts need to be ordered of course. UPDATE: now today; they were supposed to come out Monday and never showed. Finally came on Friday, and now they’re leaving my family of two kids stranded with no A/C until “sometime next week.” Worst HVAC experience ever. We called Furlong's for heat pump repair late on a Monday afternoon (coincidentally, the first day of a severe cold snap). A technician came out Tuesday morning at 8:00 am. They ordered the needed parts by overnight delivery, and had them installed by 11:00 am on Wednesday. I call that great service! They are always polite and helpful, the people arrive when they say they will be here, and they always diagnose the repair correctly the first time. It is a real blessing to have such a dependable and competent firm in our town. Knowing our first call for help will result in a solution to our problem is great! I can' t recommend Furlong's Sheetmetal too highly. Thanks, guys, for being there!

They are willing, and able! I have had them do a couple of very custom sheet metal projects, and do a great job. You must be very clear, and write all the details, though, because you are not dealing directly with the metal workers, and verbal details are not likely to be communicated to the final project!

The driver who commutes from WV to VA is an extremely unsafe driver. Swerving all over the road, changing speeds frequently, then flipped me off for no reason when we merged onto interstate 81. Would not recommend or ever use this business just on that principle alone.
