Very disappointed. We purchased a new furnace and heat pump from Plasters about 3 yrs ago. We also purchased their maintenance agreement. We called to ask them to help us hook up the online app to our heating unit so we could control the heat settings from our phone. We had to get a new modem and it wasn’t connecting like it should. No one mentioned a service fee and since we had the maintenance agreement we really didn’t think there would be a charge. The technician was here about 5 mins and actually only turned the breaker off and back on. I guess we are naive because it was $89.95 for the service call. We are both retired and when you’re older you don’t always think to ask about things like a service charge when we already pay a maintenance fee yearly and no one mentioned it on the call. Had we known we would have gone without this feature. Very disappointed that something like this wouldn’t be a courtesy call since we bought our unit there and use them for maintenance. After all what’s the point in having this feature of it isn’t set up. We have been happy with the furnace and the maintenance service so this was very disappointing.

Great company. We’re new to the Winchester area, and we wanted to work with local companies. Ben Plasters came out to discuss replacing an AC unit, furnace and hot water heater. We had a real hack job on the duct work into our sunroom and Ben suggest a mini-split in that room would be more efficient and eliminate the poor duct work problem. He was also move detailed in his sizing assessment regarding the existing duct work, a poor system breathing issue, and right-sizing the entire system. A number of vendors simply wanted to install a higher ton rated AC unit and opt out of any responsibility for whether the existing sized duct work would support it. That was not the case with Plasters. It’s also reassuring when the owner of the company shows up for the install. That said, the entire team was outstanding. It’s clear they take pride in their craft, and that’s impressive these days. A lot of local companies have been bought out by the large ARS company. They keep the local company names, but they’re essentially subsidiaries of ARS. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I was far more comfortable working directly with Plasters. I strongly suggest you consider them when researching contractors for your project. After 34 years of marriage, this was one time my wife was pleased I got Plastered. (;-)

This is a family owned business. They are outstanding, and excellent to work with. Extremely trustworthy, and was a joy to work with them. Not only did we have them install our air conditioner, system, and one brand new house. We also had it installed in our personal home by them as well.
