Small Solutions is a wonderful, locally owned, HVAC company that I would recommend to anyone needing work done. I called to have annual maintenance performed on my heat pump. Their price was very reasonable! The job the technicians, Brian and Duck, did was very thorough and they took their time to inspect everything completely. They also answered all of my questions and took the time to help me understand how to keep my heating and cooling system in top condition. Small Solutions also gives back to the local community by sponsoring various programs offered by Frederick County Parks and Rec. I completely recommend Small Solutions for any HVAC services. You won’t be disappointed!

I cannot say enough about these guys and their products/service. I strongly recommend having a chat with these folks about your plans for your home. By determining how you intend to use the dwelling they can fine tune their products and services. This made a big different in what I chose to do in the end. These folks are very skilled and knowledgeable and fear nothing, no matter how old the house. They maintain regular contact and utilize technology in their invoicing/billing. Unlike many of their competitors who seem happy to just check the minimum needed to justify their cost, the technicians at Small Solutions are genuinely interested in doing a quality job. They may charge a little more than is listed in promotional flyers from other companies, but you get the peace of mind of knowing that your expensive investment in a heat pump will not go south on you when you most need it. Their technicians are knowledgeable, professional, and willing to go over the risks or benefits of having some maintenance work done sooner than later. And they are available at short notice and on time.

Small Solutions came to my house today to clean the ducts that haven't been cleaned since I bought the house. Brian Marple and team did an excellent job. Not only were they professional and friendly, they also walked me through the entire process and showed me before and after pictures. Let's just say that I will have much cleaner air in my home. In addition to cleaning the ducts, they pointed out an issue with the ducts that probably should have never passed inspection. This team went above and beyond today as they put a temporary fix in place until they are able come back out to fix the issue. When they left, I couldn't even tell that they had been here as they cleaned up all of the debris associated with the cleaning.If you're looking for HVAC service, I highly recommend Small Solutions. Of course, AC went out on Monday before 4th of July. Waited until Wednesday to call, as we had not had any previous problems. Scheduled for Thursday between 10 and 12. Our angel, Justin, arrived early, spotted problem immediately and fixed it quickly. On what promises to be one of the hottest days this year, Justin saved the day! Quick and easy process, AC working great and price very reasonable. Justin was very impressive as our technician, professional and courteous. We’ve used Small Solutions twice now! They’re wonderful! They are fair and honest. We had another company come look at our AC and they said we had to replace the whole thing (~$5,000). Tyler Roberts from Small Solutions came out for a second opinion and all that we needed was a new fan!!!! Maybe around a year later, our AC wasn’t working well again so he came out again (at 8:30pm on a FRIDAY NIGHT) and fixed our AC within an hour. He was friendly, professional, and prompt! We couldn’t be happier and wouldn’t use any other HVAC company! :)UPDATE: Finally needed to replace the unit! Small Solutions sent 4 guys out on the 4th of July and replaced our inside and outside unit within about 2 hours! These guys are seriously amazing. We cannot sing their praises enough! Jeff, Brandon, Cordell, & Duck were friendly, professional, and so courteous!

Murphy’s Law hat the AC only goes out on holidays and weekends! But Small Solutions always steps up! I am very impressed with this business. My heating system (3 years old) shut down on the coldest night of the year and the worst possible weekend (Christmas). My regular repair business I have dealt with in the past wouldn't even return my phone calls. I got it touch with Mark Becker of Small Solutions and he put me in the order for repair. Less than 3 hours later, my system was back on and running like it should. A big shout out to Mark in his professionalism and quick repairs. This is now my go to HVAC company. After consulting with big brand companies and realizing how expensive and how they try to upsell, I contacted Small Solutions. Here was my experience. 1. Looking for ductless system to heat and cool my garage: $17,000 from brand company. Small solutions almost 5x cheaper. Cause brand company try to say i needed a unit that would work for my entire house, instead of what I really needed, then tried to make me think they were giving me a deal by applying " discounts ". Thank you Small Solutions for being honest and keeping it simple.2. Heating repair and maintenance, very affordable and tells you what you need and what to look at, instead of doing the normal and saying that you need to replace the entire unit.3. Brian and Duck: very professional and engaging. Not only will they explain the job, but they are also polite,fun to talk to, and won't rush when the job is complete. You want to talk "everyday life" with them, they are happy to do that. Its the little things that matter today with the inflation on everything. It's not rocket science, but apparently finding a reliable HVAC company for maintenance is. Small Solutions was one of the only businesses that returned my inquiry for a price estimate for duct cleaning and thermostat installation. They had the cheapest quote and the widest availability to fit my schedule. It was worth every penny as Brian and Duck did an extremely thorough job (over 4 hours!!) for the duct cleaning. My experience with another company (**cough cough Air Serve**) was not so great. With outstanding customer service representatives that are friendly, on time, and transparent I will be a repeat customer for years to come! Needed a new HVAC system and in March 2022 after getting a couple estimates, I went with Small Solutions. They were very professional and courteous. They were on time and only took a few hours to install. They cleaned up afterwards to where you didn't even know I had work done. Then this morning (11/17/22) I woke up to a very warm house and found my thermostat not working. I called and they were out there within the hour of calling to fix the issue. In 2015 I had Small Solutions (SS) repair a coolant leak in my 17 year old Carrier HVAC system and decided to replace the system in 2016. I chose a Frigidaire High performance recuperative furnace (95% efficient) with added features. The furnace and AC are both 2 stage design, adding efficiency. I added a programmable Honeywell thermostat with humidity and dehumidify control. The installation was excellent and price was competitive and fair. In 7 years I've had 2 performance problems, both remedied. Recently (2023) I installed an 8” diameter boost fan to my longest duct run (35') to increase air flow in heat and AC modes (this was a 10 speed fan designed for grow rooms, quiet at low speeds). I wired the unit with direct control but wanted the booster to come on concurrent with the HVAC fan. I had SS wire the boost fan into the HVAC to preclude any problem that may impact to the 10 year warranty. I've been very satisfied with Small Solutions over a Long period of time and give them a very favorable recommendation.Services: A/C system repair, Heating system installation, Install AC, Thermostat installation
