Crockett Home Improvement was contracted to completely renovate a master bathroom and replace the floor in a second bathroom. George Crockett responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He made some suggestions that saved me some money. He provided a reasonable schedule to order the materials and complete the job. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of the work performed. While working on the bathrooms, I asked George to add some living room and hall painting to the project. The work was added immediately and finished in a few days. The painting was completed in a professional manner and met our needs exactly. All the staff was efficient, friendly, and courteous. I recommend Crockett Home Improvement for any similar renovation projects.

Please scan these reviews and see how many peole George ripped off and then told he was going out of business, only to run more TV ads. They have no direct employees other than sales people. They hire others to do the work and do *nothing* to supervise them. The subs then hire subs, and George doesn't even know who is on his job. They charge more than anyone and provide zero value. You are better off hiring the workers directly than hiring George to hire others for you.We contracted with George here for replacement windows and a bump out closet. They severely ran over the time estimate and started working as little as one day per week, coming and going with no pattern. They called to tell us they were done, and we paid our final bill. Over time, we noticed a number of problems.In the bumpout closet, I could hear the outside too clearly, and the temperature changed with the weather way too much. It's freezing in there. After we mounted a closet organizing system, it created enough darkness in a corner that we could see the bumpout was not completely sealed to the house. To this day, I can see daylight coming through where the wall of the new closet should join the house. My wife and I made several phone calls and received several promises, but they were all lies. Like many who have posted warnings here, Crockett Homes also told me they had no employees and were going out of business. I can tell from reviews they started many, many other jobs since promising to fix their error. They have even run more than one TV ad campaign since promising to go out of business.Every other contractor who has looked at our bumpout has commented that it isn't square, including the last supervisor they sent out to lie about them closing.They moved our exterior electrical box but failed to ground it. We paid a competent electrician to correct it.Even as a general contractor, they admitted upfront they could not hire a painter. I have a good relationship with an excellent painter, so we were fine with that. They replaced our old window trim with smaller trim, but left a gap where the drywall did not reach the trim. We paid our painter to fix it.The new windows had a smaller frame than the old. This left holes where the mortar of the exterior brick did not reach the new windows. Some of the holes they left in our exterior were as large as my pinky. This was the case all the way around the house. They damaged eaves as the installed the windows and left them that way. They left our LeafGuard gutter screen mangled and torn up around the bump out. We called them, and they fixed this.The building inspector complained that they closed the bumpout before he could inspect it. I told him to make them open it back up and inspect it. He did not.The quote had a line item for hardwood flooring. The people on the job strongly recommended vinyl after the work began and promised it would save us money. The vinyl was the cheapest, ugliest vinyl I've ever seen and they did not discount the bill! The doorway to the closet had a lip where it was built to have thicker hardwood floors. My wife had to negotiate with them. George argued that we agreed to vinyl. My wife eventually got them to refund the line item in the quote for hardwood. We hired an excellent hardwood floor guy. When he pulled up the vinyl, he found a whole in the floor that they just covered with vinyl. Our hardwood floor guy fixed it at his expense and refused to charge me.I could go on, but I hope you get the picture.

George Crockett and his team recently completed multiple projects for our home, all to our satisfaction. They repaired a significant roof leak involving replacing roof boards, shingles, and properly installing counter-flashing to a stone chimney. After this work was complete, they installed a sliding patio door for us, and then re-sided our entire home in vinyl siding.His team was courteous, personable, and driven by professionalism. They showed an attention to detail, and despite delays in receiving materials in a pandemic world, were nonetheless able to "make it all happen" in a timely fashion.We would not hesitate to use George, Ron, David, Carlos and his team, Doug, and Taylor for any work going forward.

WOW !!! It has been approx. 1 week since this amazing company finished replacing our roof and painting upper eaves and dormers. I was very impressed with the teamwork to replace my roof . They sent 12 guys on Monday to start this process and by Tuesday at 6 pm all work was completed and cleanup was also amazing, no trash present as if they had never been there. The estimating process was easy and pain less all questions were answered ,supplies were delivered first as promised . They wasted no time getting the job done.

Nothing but amateurs! I held this review because I was told, by somebody working for Crockett, that they were going out of business. I am not surprised that my relationship with them ended in a lie. We signed a contract to remodel our only bathroom. Initially they promised to complete the bathroom in two weeks. Not being naïve, I assumed it would take a month. One year later we settled without the bathroom really being complete. This project was marred by incompetence. The first crew had intra-crew drama that we got sucked into. After that, we never knew who was coming or when. Weeks would pass with no work. In the meantime, we had plumbing emptying into buckets, pipe stubs for taking baths but no functioning shower, and half-finished tile. One would think that a contractor with 40 years of experience would know how to set a traditional subway tile pattern. Not the case. Tile had to come off the walls three times (not to mention the time they put the wrong grout color in, tried to grind it out, and ended just scratching all the tiles). Same with the floor tile, which also had to be lifted three times. Incompetent mud and paint crews. This bathroom had to be tapped, mudded, and painted multiple times because the contractors apparently didn’t know how to mud and sand a smooth tape seam. They seemed incapable of getting the shower riser straight when I could clearly see the fix. They blamed the slow pace on supply chain problems. However, the contractor we hired to do our kitchen at the same time completed their work according to the agreed upon schedule--no supply-chain excuses there. They didn’t respect our house; we had sheet rock mud and paint on the floors and on our furniture. Drop cloths seemed to be an alien concept to these folks. In sum, if you want incompetent people tearing into your house, then, by all means, Crockett is for you.Service: Home renovations

Crocket Home Improvent has done many projects for me over the past 10 years and ive always been more than satasfied with thier work. About 6 years ago, my sewer line backed up into my two bathrooms and got all over the tub and shower. It also got all over walls, floors, book case PA system etc. George came and took control of the disaster area. He gave me $175 cash and said you cant stay here. Get you a motel room until your home owners Ins puts you up. He said this project is going to take awhile. They got all my furniture in storage, Service Master in for the cleanup, and his crews in for the rebuild. My place was a new home when they finished with everything. I had new carpets, flooring, insulation, cabinets, etc. Much better than i had before. George was right. I spent 52 days and nights in a motel. The $175 got me the motel till Foremost Insurance paid. I highly recomend Crocket Home Improvement for any or all your home improvement needs. 👍👍👍😇

This company was wonderful to work with. They redid our siding and worked with us to help us find the exact product we wanted. Once our siding was delivered, their construction team worked quickly and expertly to get the job done. We are very happy with the final results and will definitely be using Crockett again in the future for any needed home improvements!

We had a very up and down time with Crockett. First I want to say the work was done well and we are very happy with the job now that it is completed. We had Hardy board siding added to a small section of our house and it looks great now. The issues we had was communication with the group. To be fair to Crockett my wife and I are busy people so getting onto our schedule is not always easy but multiple times we were surprised by phone calls of them showing up at our house unannounced or dropping stuff off. Each time we asked for this to stop but this never happened. Even on the final touch up we were unaware that they were showing up so we could not show them some interior issues we found after further inspection so had to continue to wait for this long and honestly stressful process to be over with them. The interior was fixed after some time but could have been completed had we been communicated with so we could be home to let the crew in. I would not recommend using this group if you like to stay informed about your home projects and if you like to keep a schedule. They will keep you on your toes and at some points it will feel like you are the one doing the work.Service: Exterior finishing

I paid them $2500 to fix a roof leak. They came out two times. Each time said it was fixed. It wasn't. After the third call they told me they were going out of business and couldn't come back. Several months later I see a commercial on TV i check Google and sure enough there still in business. wow! good work Mr. Crockett.Service: Roof repair

We have done a lot of work on our houses and this company has been the best we have ever worked with. Eric and Donnie were great to work with and we are very pleased with the end result. It was a big job, following the installation of a pump due to mold in a wall. Crockett waterproofed, replaced the lower part of the wall seamlessly with the existing wall, painted the room, and painted/replaced the trim. Crockett H.I. build 3 deck roofs on our home over existing decks and a staircase. Everything went very well and they were punctual and and the carpenters were super knowledgeable and skilled...for about a month. We were quite impressed and were definitely planning on hiring them again. But then, when 99% of the work was done, they just stopped showing up and things fell apart. This was over a month ago. They left several fist-sized holes into our roof and we have since found 2 mice in the house...let's hope that's all and there aren't raccoons living in our attic. There are also a few other small issues that haven't been addressed, mainly cosmetic. I have called them several times and I was assured the problems would be fixed soon but they haven't been true to their word. The other part of our agreed upon project is the replacement of our back door, which has also not been done. At this point my hopes aren't high for this project and we will most likely hire someone else to finish the job. I have never been made to feel so unimportant as a customer before and this is unacceptable.

Do not hire this company. I would give this company a -10 if I could. Crockett was contracted to repair a bathroom due to water damage. I left for two weeks while the repair was done. When I returned, the tub was not supported properly, now it moves and squeaks. The original drywall was a smooth finish (like the rest of the apartment), but they did a very poor KNOCKDOWN. The tub faucet is loose. Drywall mud over the switch and plug plates; they did knockdown without removing the switch plates. The flooring has large gaps between the sections. I spoke with their receptionist, asking for a quality control manager to contact me, and she said he would call me. Never happened. Every aspect of their work is unprofessional, and their customer support is non-existent. Small claims court now, as I have to redo the work.

I have used George for many years for various repair projects and he has consistently been the most reliable, punctual and professional contractor I've worked with. We are on a first name basis and I truly trust him at his word. That is definitely not something you can say about other contractors in the NRV.He stands behind his work and if anything isn't right he will make it right.
