I've had a new home built in the past, and there is no comparison with this experience. The entire process from start to finish was great. I'm very pleased with the workmanship in and out of the house, quality of the appliances, cabinetry, etc. Any surprises we had along the way were defiantly good ones in our favor. Working with Jefferson Homes and William has been a pleasure. From the day we met at our vacant lot to discuss the home plan we wanted and the location of the home on the lot. William guided us through the entire process.Near the end of construction when our other home was sold and our new one wasn't quiet complete he pushed to get it finished to meet our moving deadline The quality of our finished home is incredible! Upgrades throughout without any extra fees attached. We couldn't be more pleased with our new home.Jefferson homes built our very fist home in 1982 and now they have also built what is probably our last. After searching for a home in the area we decided to go with Jefferson Homebuilders. Working with William has been an extremely pleasant experience. We required quite a few changes due to my husband having mobility disabilities and everything has been done to perfection to ensure his safety. The quality of the house is excellent and what some builders consider an upgrade is standard in Jefferson’s homes. We will be moving in soon an can’t wait to be in our new beautiful home. My wife and I went to Jefferson Home Builders in early July to get an idea of what the steps were for purchasing a custom home from JHB. We spoke with William and he was absolutely amazing. He was so informative and answered every question we had very thoroughly. He took us to a property in Madison to show us the general lot size that was included with the home.The following morning he allowed us to do a walk through on one of the homes that had just been completed for a buyer. The craftsmanship was amazing and the house was beautiful. I can't wait to have Jefferson Home Builders build my dream home and I look forward to working with William and JHB.

We decided to use JHB to build our forever home. William Galloway and his team did an amazing job on our home from start to finish. I really love that we were able to visit the site during all construction phases, even take pictures for future reference. I must have changed my mind a dozen times while choosing various items for the home! William was bothered by this at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure he expected it! My wife and I began searching for a new hone in Virginia and settled on moving to Culpeper, VA. We decided to search the listings and stumbled upon a few larger lots with a sign for Jefferson Home Builders. Since they looked promising, we contacted William Galloway and met that same day. William was very knowledgeable while showing us around Culper and some of their lots and new houses. After reviewing our options on floor plans, and seeing their home quality, I was convinced that Jefferson Home Builders was the right choice to build our retirement home. During the process, William was outstanding, friendly, and extremely professional. His assistance with interior selections was fun experience. The building process went as scheduled even though there were many rainy days to work around. The final product turned out to be better than I ever expected with William there for us all the way to closure. My Wife and I were very reluctant to purchase a home from Jefferson Homebuilders. We have lived in the small town of Culpeper for many years, and word travels fast. This can be a good and bad thing, unfortunately for Jefferson they have been known in the past as a mediocre to poor builder when it comes to making the customer happy. My sister is a real estate agent and urged me to meet with the knew member of Jefferson, William Galloway. We decided to meet and hear them out because we feel in love with a piece of property they owned. Fast forward 5 months and we could not have been any happier with that decision. William, and Jefferson Home Builders have constantly bent over backwards to make sure we were satisfied, even calling the job to a halt until we could come look at it to make sure we were happy. I would recommend anyone to them, and be completely confident that they will have a great experience. Don't let the past, and what you hear dictate if you decided to try them because this company has a very bright future!!

JHB of Culpeper built our new home in Madison. The project was delayed for 3 months due to covid-19 and related supply chain issues. However, enough can not be said for how William and Damon worked to keep us in the loop to keep the work progressing. They accommodated several design upgrades we desired (some at no extra charge) all while maintaining an attention to detail that satisfied the very exacting standards we set for our forever home. Landlord performed countless illegal inspections without notice, requiring us to install security cameras. Didn't provide housing in 'liveable conditions' and didn't provide pest control to remedy the issue within 40 days. Didn't provide compensation required under VA law to remedy pest issues when the landlord was unable to do so. Denied application illegally due to disability status. Caused damages to personal property without remediation from illegal inspections. Illegally listed apartments for rent. Fraudulently moved payment allocations. Multiple breaches of contract.

JHB is the most professional and knowledgeable company in the area. My wife and I were looking to build a new house and couldn't find the right fit until we met with William Galloway. We had met with other companies who were either way over priced or didn't have any inventory. We had just gotten out of a contract with a local builder who was the absolute worst, I wont use their company name, but it rhymes with "Lie"gon. They put a bad taste in our mouths for building with a smaller builder. We took a chance and met with William Galloway at a lot in the area we really wanted to build in because of the proximity to our families. I called the number listed on line for William thinking it would direct me to his office. William answered the phone and agreed to meet with us at houses he had under way so we could see the true quality of the product that they build and sell. After signing the contract, there was never a time where I felt like I couldn't pick up the phone and call William. He always had professional answers as well as practical answers to every question large or small. We started this venture as seller/buyer but I feel like William now is an old friend that you can always count on. Potential JHB customers,I would highly recommend JHB to anyone looking to build a home from scratch and moving into the greater Culpeper area. My wife and I were looking for our retirement home and JHB was able to show us a number of properties that all met the criteria we were looking for and also had numerous home designs that we were able to pick from to place on the property. Building a house is a chaotic process, let alone during a pandemic, and during that process we made a number of inquiries on materials/designs for the house and William, Damon, and their team were able to accommodate all of them. The construction team was incredibly friendly and would stop working to chat with us on any construction-related questions we had whenever we stopped by the house to monitor the progress. This was the third house my wife and I have built during our marriage and I’ll tell you that no construction goes without hiccups. This project was no different and had a few but JHB rose to the occasion whenever there was a problem and fixed it. JHB has remained responsive months after our closing and have been there to solve issues and answer questions for us. We have a history with this company, since my husband is an employee but just the same we felt like part of the family. we had a couple of set backs (nothing to do on their end I had credit issues to fix) and they were so willing to work with us and be patient with the process! If I could I would give them a million stars because they are just amazing!! Our home is beautiful and we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives in our FOREVER home! Thanks everyone!

This company runs multiple business in both Culpeper and Orange County. One of them is a storage facility, which they run very poorly. They are constantly adding fees and they charge an absolutely astronomical amount because there are limited options in the immediate area. The units are dirty, cheaply built and separated, they’re not climate controlled properly and I wouldn’t keep anything that I valued there as I do not feel like it would be secure. But like I said, there are very limited options unless you want to drive 10-15 miles away.If they can’t run a simple storage facility effectively, do you really want them to build your home? I really, really would reconsider using this company.
