After being outbid for the last time, we decided to look at building new, but almost gave up on that too until our realtor suggested Trigon. We just moved into our beautiful new home built by them and couldn’t be happier! The only frustrating thing was waiting for permits (not their fault). It was incredible how fast Trigon would get things done once permits came through. They always got back to us super fast and never made us feel like we were being difficult, even though we probably were LOL . We asked for quite a few change orders as we went along and they always adjusted our plans with a smile. They did backflips and pulled strings or something, but they got us to close right on time even when it looked like we wouldn’t be able to. Walt and Terry are so down to earth, but very professional and good at what they do. You can tell they just love what they do. Hannah and Jim were available 24/7 throughout the entire process and are some of the nicest most professional people I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I was so nervous about this whole thing, but they made it so easy, fun, and exciting. There was never and of that used car salesman BS like the other big builders we had talked to. Walt was always straight forward and upfront with everything. If you want a cheaper prefab house sold to you by someone who is just trying to make commission off of you, go with one of the “big guys” or developers. BUT, If you want a beautifully custom designed, stick built home that is designed , built, and sold by wonderful, downy to earth and honest people who don’t play games, call Trigon!!Services: Custom home design, Home building

My husband and I recently completed a Brand New Build with Trigon Homes, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish we have no complaints. We first met with Walter and Terry in July of 2020, as we originally were planning on building a home on Family acquired land. Later in early December we realized there were too many road blocks within the county, we switched our plan to building a new home on land that Trigon owned in a small subdivision they have built nearly all the houses in. Walter took us out to the lot to take a walk around and answer questions, when we decided this was the one for us, Terry and our Realtor helped us complete the contract process. In early 2021 we met with Nicole and Molly to make our selections for our home. Nicole dealt with more of the floor plan aspect, and was super helpful to us on deciding where to place windows, outlets, which way doors should open to be more convenient, etc. Everything was explained in great detail during this meeting with an understanding that if we needed to change something or wanted more clarification, all we needed to do was reach out. At this same meeting, Molly helped us pick out all the “fun” parts of our home, like the counters, tile, flooring, paint colors and siding. Molly was very personable and helped me make big choices by giving her opinion on what would flow together nicely with my vision. Both Nicole and Molly responded to numerous emails from me, whether I had follow up questions or wanted to completely change a selection. Having built in the middle of a pandemic, we were well aware that there was going to be both workforce and supply shortages in the construction industry. Trigon kept us updated weekly on where we stood and what was happening in that current week at the house. Walter and my husband would communicate regularly and he was always kind, knowledgeable and willing to clarify or give suggestions based on what we were asking of him. Once the house was under roof, we met Jim. There are not enough kind things I can say about Jim- I saw him often as I would do “drive-bys” of the house pretty much every few days. Jim was extremely patient and was always kind to my kids and I, and was always willing to show us around the house and let us know that “new” things had happened since I saw it last- which was only every couple of days. There were several times where Jim would reach out to me or stop me when he saw me drive by and ask if I liked certain shelf placements in closets, if I liked the stain on the railings, etc. Although I did make a few changes towards the end, I never felt like I was a burden or pain to anyone who I came in contact with. When it came time to do our final walkthrough, every cosmetic or change I wanted was granted. No matter how small. There were 3-4 things that had to be done after closing due to scheduling conflicts with subcontractors, and those have been done in a timely manner- we have been in our home 2 weeks at the time of this review for reference. With any home purchase, things can get stressful close to closing time. Terry was not our Realtor but was so kind to my husband and I when we were nervous about not closing on time due to paperwork within the county. We went into this process with very real expectations thanks to our Realtor, who is also my Dad, and I believe that helped everyone. We absolutely love our home, and are so happy that we chose Trigon to help make our dream a reality 😊

We absolutely love our new home and were pleased with the entire building process. We were always informed about the progress as the house was being built, and Trigon made everything so easy and stress free. We were surprised at what we could afford, and had no trouble staying within budget. We would have very easily spent as much on a resale, but then wouldn't have gotten to pick everything ourselves and still ended up with 10 or 15 year old everything! We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship and all the extra details that were already included that most builders either wouldn't do or would charge extra for. Trigon was very professional and treated us like family. That kind of service is too hard to find these days!

Trigon is an excellent builder and a great alternative to the big 'cookie cutter' developers out there. Our experience building the house was really good. Trigon allows a lot of flexibility in the design phase, so we got exactly the floor plan we wanted. Very energy efficient as well. This is the second new home we have bought and we've seen fewer problems with our new Trigon home than with our last new home (Beazer). Some people may not have had the same positive experience that we have, but I think that is more the exception rather than the rule. We did have a problem with our kitchen flooring, but they fixed it. I have no problem recommending them as a builder and have done so to friends thinking about moving to the area.

I just closed a very smooth real estate transaction on a new build with Trigon Homes and could not be happier with the process, quality of construction, and service that Trigon provided to my client. Walt, Terry and team were all very professional to work with during the construction process and very accommodating when a last minute family emergency led to a delayed closing. Their team was very understanding and concerned about my clients family first...hard to find that in todays busy world! This write up is a warning. A buyer beware post if you consider building with Trigon Homes. This post is truthful and does not exaggerate the facts of what happened during our build. I have a 15 page journal that I kept of the problems with exact dates. The builder has yet to apologize for the major inconvenience and extremely poor quality build of home that we took possession of. I even set him down in the house (11/13) and told him how bad the experience was directly to his face. It was clear he didn't care. We should be compensated at this point.During our time here we have experienced a laundry list of problems with the house that continue. Plumbing issues, electrical issues, carpet issues, linoleum issues, HVAC issues, cabinet issues, driveway issues. We found out that a listing of a 2 car garage doesn't really mean it fits 2 cars even though it was clearly stated we wanted a 2 car garage during the early meetings. They will deny the conversation has ever took place.Out of the first 90 days in the house we had to contact the builder or deal with a subcontractor 45 of those days. The house I owned for 12 years had far fewer problems then this brand new house.The builder has never once apologized or taken true ownership of this horrendous experience. Common phrases we hear are "Oh this is normal", or "We've never experienced anything like this with our houses". This is also untruthful because at least 2 other recent builds in our neighborhood in the past year have had awful experiences as well. I hope they post and go public.When a problem was reported we almost felt like we just bothering them or that we weren't truthful that we were just complainers. To my knowledge we made one change order during the entire build and that was to change the color of the front door. We were far from problem clients during the build. I even ran my own low voltage wiring over a weekend. Really the only thing that has worked as expected.Their communication has been horrible after closing. Their follow up is horrible after closing. The finishing workmanship is horrible. I can speak to the framing quality. But based on at least one neighbors issue with his roof, its probably suspect as well. It is clear that they go with the lowest priced sub contractor that they can find and then provide no direct oversight of the quality of work. So when something goes wrong, they feign ignorance and blame the sub. Guess what? I didn't buy a house from a subcontractor. I bought a home from Trigon Homes.For all of the time we were told something was normal settling. Not once were we warned about it ahead of time. They have no clue or don't want to have a clue. This company does not want to find problems with their homes but try and cover it up or pass the buck or complain that a customer is too picky.This has been anything but a dream.

Trigon homes built our dream home for us between 2014 & 2015 and we truly could not be more pleased with the work that they did. We spent over a year prior to the build planning and designing our home; and Walt and Nicole were there for us every step of the way. They were open to every change and addition we made to the original plans and were truly excited to make whatever we envisioned happen. They also offered great advice and recommendations throughout the process that highlighted their years of experience and know-how. They are consummate professionals—courteous and knowledgeable but also genuinely nice people. A year and a half into our home and we are still in awe of the quality of the house. The attention to detail is extraordinary and quality of work is exemplary. Trigon’s craftsmen were also a pleasures with whom to work. Jim (the foreman) was always right on top of his communication, calling with follow up information as soon as we requested it; and the carpenters, Ryan and Charlie, are truly talented—our custom stairway could be in a magazine—and friendly. Signed contract around March 2021 with an estimated move in date of February 2022. By June 2022 the ground was not even broken... every month there was an excuse. We had all of our selections made (counter tops, flooring, appliances, EVERYTHING). We got our refund. I was one of 4 or 5 lots, none of the homes broke ground by June 2022.Service: Home building

I would say that you should avoid this contractor. After they breached the contract we all signed and agreed to, we had no choice but to terminate that very contract with them. I don't feel they are honest brokers, and moving forward with them would have been a huge mistake.Definately your choice but you should certainly do your homework on them. The negative post you read about them have validity, all of us had a terrible experience/outcome with them.

Buyer beware! Trigon Homes damaged the road to our neighborhood during the construction of three of their new homes. Once they found out that we expect them to repair the damage, they refuse to answer or return any calls. Make sure that you do your research before you do any business with this company!

I have been working myself for over 40 years in the home building business , but I was tired , so we hired Trigon to build our last home , I could not be happier with the entire process , they are true professionals who not only deliver on time , but there is no sacrifice for quality either . If I ever built another in this area , they would be my only call .
