Daniels Design and Remodeling were fantastic in all measures. The design team developed designs which met our needs and desires, often in ways we never would have thought of. The selections were both stylish and practical. During the construction phase the project manager communicated with every day about upcoming plans and which trades were scheduled in the coming days. When the inevitable challenges presented themselves, they were addressed quickly and efficiently. At one point during the project we experienced a death in the family. The entire Daniels team treated us with compassion and respect, and stopped work for almost two weeks to allow us to deal with family matters in private. They truly cared about us beyond what one would expect in a typical contractor/client relationship. Convenience and customer service are exactly why we hired a full service company, and we were not disappointed. The Daniels Team transformed my ordinary two-bedroom condo into a unique and sophisticated space, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. The professionalism, expertise, management, attention to detail, and sense of innovation and creativity that went into making this possible was top notch. You will pay more by hiring Daniels, but you get what you pay for—calls, emails, and texts returned within minutes, hours, and certainly no later than 24 hours, expert professionals who genuinely care about creating the best solution for you, work with a sense of urgency, and adjust to your needs. With so many moving parts and countless outside factors, they have the experience, infrastructure, and culture in place to keep projects highly organized. This doesn’t mean that things don’t go wrong, but it does mean that the team responds quickly and effectively if something comes up. My one wish would be for greater transparency throughout the project on cost. Also, they were ambitious on estimating the schedule. In the end, however, these things pale in comparison to the results. The quality is impeccable, and I am still amazed at how well they turned vision into reality. The team was absolutely lovely to work with all the way through—friendly, genuinely nice people. They have a “can do” attitude but are honest about what can and can’t be done. Truly, I could not be happier with my new home. There is no getting around that fact that renovations/remodelings are frustrating and stressful at times. Ted Daniels correctly analyzed our interior structure repair needed and executed an extensive, detailed plan with skilled, experiencedprofessionals within his firm to perform a repair that truly simulated a detailed surgery!! We hired Ted Daniels and his excellent team when our original contractor became ill and unable to complete our kitchen and master bath remodel project - just after we had gutted our kitchen and had purchased the flooring, cabinets, appliances and granite. In 2016 we contracted with Daniels Design and Remodeling to renovate our kitchen, laundry room, and master bath, and we could not be more pleased with the results. In short, it was an outstanding experience. From the beginning, we were completely involved in the decisions during all phases of the process, design, demolition, construction, and decorating. Their technical staff explained our construction choices, while their designers helped with floor selections, cabinets, finishes, colors and accents. At the start of construction, the Daniels team put in temporary plastic walls to keep the dust down, which was a tremendous help with construction on two floors. They also left us our kitchen sink well into the demolition, which we greatly appreciated. We especially valued the weekly progress meetings with the Production Manager and Lead Carpenter. They did an outstanding job of keeping us informed of the progress, any technical issues encountered, and suggested sound solutions when surprises were encountered. The quality of the work and attention to detail were excellent in every respect. The end result was outstanding and we are completely pleased with the experience. We would absolutely work with Daniels Design and Remodeling again and highly recommend them to anyone considering a luxury remodeling project.

I have used Daniels for three different projects, including a three-story addition and two total bathroom remodels. People are always surprised to hear that I absolutely LOVE my builder and that our projects finish on time, on budget, and with minimal stress along the way. Ted and his crew care about every little detail, take excellent care of your property, and are extremely professional and courteous. Even better, I can honestly say that all of our spaces look as good today as the day they finished work -- almost five years now for one project -- so their work truly stands the test of time. Daniels completed the bathroom remodel in the time alotted to the full task. This timing was based on a thorough review of the project, the purchase of all the necessary materials and the development of a critical path diagram. The subs used were first-rate. All work was supervised by a superb Daniels carpenter who also minimized any dust from migrating to the rest of the house. There were no items on the punch list and five months later, we continue to be completely satisfied with our new remodeled bathroom.

Fantastic results! Daniels D&R added a room to the house, leveled a step down room, replaced a fireplace with a gas fireplace and re-did the front walk and steps. Their work was well-done, professional, and within budget. They made suggestions for improvements and were here when promised. I/we would definitely use them again.

I highly recommend Daniels Design and Remodeling. They transformed an area of my basement from a plain looking space to a stunning area for entertaining. Ted Daniels walked us through every step of the process, was up front with cost estimates, allowed us to be as involved as we wanted to be in the most minute details of the project, and he and his designer, Claire Mitchell, did an excellent job of sharing their design expertise and making suggestions/recommendations when needed. We are 100% satisfied with their work. You can see the finished work by clicking on his photos tab. My job is the game room with the coffered ceiling. In the background you will see where he converted my second kitchen in the basement to a bar with a kegerator.

Pros: Design and functionality of the space was/is fantastic; they were very flexible in working with subcontractors and the county to keep things close to original time timetable despite COVID; subcontractors were friendly and largely cleanCons: As is often the case with large scale projects, change orders were very one-sided (eg told us matching floors were available when we signed contract only to find they weren’t when we got to that stage, requiring us to redo all flooring throughout downstairs to match kitchen remodel); inconsistent communication during project (eg people stopped showing up for a while without letting us know what was happening, email at 1:00am saying people were coming next morning at 8:00am)Overall: Would give 4.5 stars and definitely recommend based on the design and functionality as those were the primary criteria for us in a kitchen remodel project, but expect a relatively high price point and slightly less than “white glove” communicationService: Remodeling
