This is the 2nd time we worked with Maico on renovation. He went above and beyond with my kitchen renovation. There was several issues with old house but all had been addressed and updated. From the start of the process to the finish, it went very smoothly. I was also impressed with the professionalism of Maico and his team. Maico and his team did an absolutely outstanding job in the renovation of our home! We couldn't be more thrilled with the finished product. The impeccable attention to detail professionalism he and his team had throughout the process made it so easy - particularly when we introduced changes to our original plan.Unexpected but inevitable issues with an older home were encountered but were well communicated and his team was able to quickly overcome them without significant cost/schedule impacts. Maico was personally involved in all aspects of the renovation, on-site on a daily basis ensuring things went smoothly and stayed on schedule. Our experience with Maico was fantastic. He has completed several jobs for us and in each case has delivered quality work, on time and within budget. His responsiveness is truly impressive, as is the diligence and thoughtfulness he brings to his work. Maico was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process of finding pavers to match our existing pavers and coming up with creative drainage options. MVK did a great job rebuilding the window box in the back of my townhouse. The wood had rotted in the original construction (due to poor sealing) from rain-soaked leaves trapped between the box and the deck.A quote I got from another contractor was much lower, but I went with MVK because it was clear that they understood the problem and would do the work properly. This included necessary labor to remove and reinstall several deck boards in order to access all the impacted parts of the window box (from the bottom of the windows down) and replace the entire structure, not just the bottom panel.Rot-proof PVC boards were used, another plus, and the deck boards were put back on better than before - with screws. Finished with a perfect paint job.It took longer than we both expected, both due to weather and the fact that MVK is understandably busy this time of year. In my case, time was not an issue.I fully recommend MVK for any work on your house.Service: Exterior structural repairs

MVK Construction completed a front yard makeover for us, including a retaining wall, front patio, seating wall, sod installation and two landscaping beds. The project turned out beautifully, and we thoroughly enjoyed working with Maico and his team throughout the project. Not only was the quality of their work exceptional, they were efficient and finished within the estimated timeframe, they were courteous and professional throughout the process and remained within budget - no surprises.In addition to the high quality of their work, there were a few other highlights that we thought set MVK apart from other companies we have worked with:1) Maico was able to capture my vision and customize a solution without inflating the cost of the project. I felt comfortable brainstorming and asking for ideas, because he is able to work creatively within a budget.2) When unexpected complications arose, Maico and his team were able to brainstorm a solution that worked beautifully into the project without adding much cost at all.3) The entire team was professional, friendly and considerate. We used MVK Construction to finish out a basement multi-purpose room in a larger unfinished space. This included framing, drywall, painting, HVAC, electrical, and flooring. From start to finish, Maico and his team were professional and transparent. The quote we obtained for the project was very reasonable, and Maico was sure to ask many questions to ensure every detail of the build was to our liking. Throughout the project, Maico would personally provide us with updates and the timeline. His team was efficient and respectful of the fact that we were living in the other parts of the house, and on some occasions, they stayed late into the evening or came on weekends to ensure a part of the project was done perfectly. When the flooring we had chosen was not in stock at local hardware stores, Maico drove 2 hours round-trip to pick it up at a store that did have it. We were initially hesitant about going with MVK as their website primarily shows exterior work, but rest assured, their interior work is top notch and we are extremely happy with the result.Services: General construction, Install flooring, Drywall installation

Maico and his team at MVK are professional, responsive, and get the job done! He is also kind and friendly, and easy to have in your home. He has done quite a few jobs for us around the house including reinforcing our stairwell bannisters, installing (beautifully) a front porch swing, removing and hauling away a huge sleeper sofa, and even helping us move some heavy furniture that we couldn’t do ourselves. He always goes the extra mile to vacuum/clean up and won’t leave until you are satisfied - willing to make adjustments to your taste. The owner, Maico, is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and honest. His crew is the same. The quality of the finished work is superior. So far, we’ve had his company install custom wood floors, refinish other floors to match, paint including drywall and plaster repair, and various carpentry projects. He also prepared our yard and landscaping for the summer, which he does as part of his outdoor hardscaping service. He has a large pool of subcontractors he works with, and supervises them from start to finish. We will retain his services for future remodeling work. Mr. Maico Gomez was a pleasure to do business with. He installed a paver patio and retaining knee wall in my back yard. The cost was reasonable and the quality of the work was solid. However, what sets Mr. Gomez apart is his outstanding customer service across the board. He visited at least three times to discuss the requirements before finalizing the contract. He was totally understanding and very informative when answering my many questions. I joined him at the stone distributor to select final pavers and wall stone and caps. He showed me many samples and explained the pluses and minuses of each. He had a qualified crew and everyone worked well together. As expected with any such job there were adjustments and minor changes to the original plans, and he adapted and adjusted with every one and with no change to the cost. He was flexible and took time to understand my questions, ideas, and requests. Granted, all were reasonable and within limits, and he was collaborative throughout the work. I plan to extend the patio and I firmly believe that Mr. Maico Gomez and his crew will return. Hire him.Service: Installation

We hired Macio and his crew to reset our pavers, powerwash our house and retaining walls and do exterior and interior painting in our home. Maico and his crew understood what we expected and did a great job. His crew were very neat and organized with the work that needed to be done.
