Good luck on getting them to come out and fix mistakes made to your home! It's been over a year since we told them siding has slid down in the front of our home, in addition to other issues! We have been told on multiple occasions from three different reps about times & dates these issue would be fixed! It's embarrassing when guest, friends, and family point out them out!

Sorry for the long post but if you are looking to buy, I encourage you to read all the way. Richmond American Homes seems to present with a great sales pitch however once they sell the product you are forgotten about. At least it seems I have been. They provide in writing, time frames to return for repair work however that doesn't happen. Based on their follow through, it seems, it's their plan to return closer to the end of the 12 month warranty which leaves the buyer left with expenses they should have handled. I can't speak for other's, however, for me it's been a horrible experience using this builder. Paying as much as they charge for homes should equate to care for the buyer and interest in their satisfaction but that doesn't seem to be the case. They half-way paint, leaving obvious issues throughout the home. If paint was the least of my issues I wouldnt be writing. I recommend a video of what they promise at the initial pitch before signing as it's been my experience that it's totally different and too late to make changes. This will be one of more to come post. When they return I will be happy to update my experience. I wish I was more informed prior to making my purchase. I don't doubt this is the only builder to treat customers this way, as it seems the builders employ cookie cutter contractors who are less invested and driven by the number of completed products which equates to dollars for them and not by the quality of their work. Buyers don't know them, buyers deal with the builder however it should behoove the builder to think more about their name and either thoroughly inspect what they are putting out or hire more than one property manager per development site to address and inspect issues. At this rate it feels like the builder's only role is collecting the money and not paying attention to the product they're selling. I would encourage the builder to conduct a survey of buyers experience over their 12 months warranty period. Please ask me. I have always been careful with writing reviews. I take months assessing, getting a true picture before speaking as I believe honesty is important. I don't believe in tarnishing anyone's name as recovery is possible. For this builder I believe amending how they respond to all buyers could change the experience people have. Again this is my experience and I am a buyer who should be considered and attended to like every other buyer. They didn't give me my home, I paid and I deserve the same level of attention I was provided during the sale.Service: Custom home design

Wow glad we moved out of hopyard. The place is homes on top of homes . Don't miss the ridiculous HOA or High water bill at all. Had no idea there were going to be that many homes total. King George County used to be country,but it's turning into the big city .

So many options to fit my wife , kids and myself lifestyle. I'm glad I stopped in. I've been driving by this area at 50, 60 miles an hour and finally pulled in. To just get away from the city roar and relax. Awesome stop.

Hopyard Farm by Ryan Home is the major builder for this community. It's a family oriented community with many young families with children and pets. I enjoy the atmosphere when I visit.

Beautiful homes!! I wish that they were more flexible on the details, and willing to expand their floorplans into truly custom homes, rather than providing customly accessorized cookiecutter floorplan packages.
