My home is more of a modern style, not something a lot of builders have experience with it even want to build. When I wanted to have an addition built, I sent my plans to several builders. Dylan and Rodney were the only ones to get back with me and follow through with a reasonable price for a custom build. They did everything they said they were going to do and more without any added cost. They were flexible and communicated throughout the entire process and got my project done ahead of the scheduled finish date. I highly recommend Windmill Homes to anyone considering a build... And if you are a bit nervous that what you want is different, or no one will listen, this is definitely the company for you.

Although I wasn’t able to move forward on the renovation of my kitchen, the selection of the Contractor (Dylan McNew, Windmill Homes & Improvements) along with one of his design consultants at James River Kitchen and Baths were extremely professional and kind!Being older and “out of the loop” so to speak, Dylan and Brandon were so patient and clarified every question I had. I will definitely contact them for any future jobs I might have. They build entire homes and just about any renovations you might have. They were great! Top Notch!

Did a very nice job on our bathroom remodel. It looks great. Even spent a couple of months to follow up locating little clips for our medicine cabinets that the manufacturer could not get right for some time. Through perseverance, Dylan was able to get the parts we needed.

We had them install new windows, siding and a metal roof. We are very pleased with the results. Everyone we dealt with was professional and responsive to any questions or concerns that we raised. We will consider them again for any future needs.

I wanted to remodel my kitchen and wanted to use someone local; not a national home improvement chain. So I researched and found Windmill Homes. After viewing their website I decided to go to their showroom to speak with them. From the time I walked in, to the completion of the project, Rodney and Michelle were great to work with. They helped me with making decisions and made the entire project run smoothly. And my kitchen turned out beautiful! I couldn't be happier with the workmanship, scheduling, and courtesy of everyone who came to my home to do their part of the job. I will be contacting them in the future for my bath remodel. Very positive experience. Every effort was made to complete the work within schedule despite difficult weather and other unforeseeable conditions. Workmanship was excellent. Rodney and his people took great pains to ensure our satisfaction as the project progressed; communication was excellent throughout. The work crew members were courteous and clearly shared Rodney's dedication to customer satisfaction. The project comprised replacing a large number of windows and an important part of the satisfactory outcome was Rodney's research and vendor liaison to ensure we had the right product at the right time. My wife and I were very impressed and pleased with the final result.

When we knew we were going to have to make a life change with a move and a build we only thought of one builder, Rodbey McNew and Windmill Homes....he built the house we had been in 20 years ago!!! We just walked into the office and instead of requesting an appt he pulled out the chairs.....we explained how we needed to be near my inlaws to help with their heathcare... he said "we can get this thing done quickly but it depends on you" I already knew what i wanted...this was the fastest house I have seen done in a long time....100 days!!! His team is phenomenal!! They were always neat and clean and friendly!! Ronnie always kept us in the loop, Tony actually put the siding on our first house. I cant say enough about this team and their passion to build such a wonderful house in such a short time. Thanks again, you all are so great and kind!!

Our experience with Windmill Homes and Rodney McKnew, began a year ago when we asked him to remodel our master bathroom. Since that time, besides having our bathroom completely redone, he has built an addition onto our home, put hardwood floors in our entire upstairs, and remodeled our kitchen. It has been an absolute pleasure working with him!! Our home looks amazing!! Unfortunately we could not proceed with finalizing our project. Due to reasons beyond our control with the county. But needless to say the McNew family went beyond the call of duty to help get everything in order for the project. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing there services.
