Top notch slate roof repair here. Caleb and Jeremiah did a great job repairing my slate roof. Found a couple of shingles that looked good from the ground around the broken shingles, but found a concealed edge crack. Replaced those too. Knowledgeable and polite. In the middle of a top-to-bottom historic renovation, Hertless Bros. was a massive breath of fresh air. Highly professional every step of the way, responsive, punctual and really good at what they do. If something goes awry they make it right, and then take extra steps to ensure complete satisfaction. We went from reaching out to a new roof in just over a week! The estimator came out promptly and told us we could get a few more years on our current roof, but we decided to go ahead and replace it. The price was much less than another estimate. The roofers were prompt, friendly, hard working, and did a great job. We are very happy!

I’m very happy with Hertless Brothers. I called literally 9 different roofers two days ago and 3 said they were too busy to fix a leak, one guy said he’d call us yesterday and stop by but we never got a call, and 4 places said they would have an estimator call me and I’ve not yet gotten a call from a single one.When I called Hertless Brothers the lady said they were also very busy and I explained (as I had tried to do with all the others) that I didn’t think it would be a big job as the roof was fairly new. She was actually willing to listen which I can’t say for many of the others. I offered to send her pictures I had of where the leak was likely coming from. She said she would talk to the crew team and see if they could work something in. 30mins later she called and said they’d come by within 2 hours! I’m pretty sure they took time out of their lunch. They were able to fix the leak on their first trip out; apparently I had some tree branches fall and put some holes in the roof.Hertless Brothers was very professional, willing to communicate with me, and also does great work. They were willing to come out for a small job in a timely manner even though it wasn’t a big money job. Well they definitely earned my business when I do need a full roof replacement!

WARNING!!!!! Needed storm damage repair to my family home. Requested estimates from several roofing companies. Never heard from this company, at first...another roofing company did give me a fair estimate and performed a timely, well done repair. Three days after the repair was done, Hertless sent an estimator to my home. He took three pictures (poor quality for certain in two of three pics. The third pic accurately showed NO damaged shingles) and they actually emailed me an estimate for repair of "missing shingles to the front and rear of the roof on my two story home. ***THE ESTIMATE AND PICTURES reflected my newly REPAIRED ROOF. They wanted $350 to REPAIR a roof that had been repaired less than 3 days earlier! Can anyone say rip-off, incompetence and/or scam??? DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS: THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE TOTALLY DISHONEST!!! My son who installs solar paneling and I just checked the roof again: totally intact and NO missing/damaged shingles.

We are very pleased with our experience with Hertless Brothers. They replaced a flat-roof that was improperly installed by another roofer. When Hertless Brothers showed up and started working we realized how unprofessional the other contractor had been. Hertless replaced the roof professionally, promptly and competitively. I recommend using them and will be sure to do so for any of our future roofing needs.

Hertless Brothers Roofing, Scott, Brian, and staff, are amazing. They came to our house in VA, reviewed conditions, recommended solutions, then we contracted them. They did a roof replacement, replaced decking, reconfigured walls and flashings, added gutters, reported unforseen situations and resolved them after contacting us about the extra work. I was driving by the heartless brothers shop (or what I thought was the shop) and heard time yelling at employee, I only heard a name, Dylan. However, I don't think a boss should be yelling and cursing at an employee. It had me in shock, I had to park at the wawa next door.I could not hire them. Please consider this when hiring them, the boss does not respect their employees.

Use these guys if you have a historic home. I had them install coping on my 1923 rowhouse and wish I had gone with them since the beginning instead of finding non qualified roofers (cenvar, I’m looking at you).
