I had a house fire last January which was devastating. Things moved well in the beginning as far as demolition, but we are still waiting for our house to be completely done. We’ve moved back in but still have contractors coming in sometimes showing up when I’m not aware also, I can never get in contact with anyone and when I do it seems as if other projects are taking priority over mine, I’m very disappointed and I just want my house to be finished already so I can just live with me and my family and not have to worry about putting my dog away because someone’s gonna come to my house while I’m at work just to come home and see the job has still not been completed The actual work is decent and I’m happy with the upgrades that I had to pay out-of-pocket for.

We had a tree fall on our property and damaged a shed and vehicle. After contacting our insurance they recommended Walker and Frick. They were very responsive and excellent too work with. Had the tree removed the same day and returned to grind the stump. The biggest hold up was waiting for the insurance company.

I recently had storm damage to my roof. It had been raining all week and I was worried about additional damage. I called Walker & Frick after hours and Virt Frick answered. They had someone out the next morning (on a weekend) to complete temporary repairs on my roof until the insurance adjuster could come out. The tradesman that came out were polite, professional, and completed the work with no problems. I received the necessary information for my insurance company promptly the next business day. This company does customer service correctly! 10 out of 10 service

Prompt response time & quality service from all team members, ranging from the executive team, to all contractors, to each office employee (which can be rare in some small businesses).You can trust they will get the job done. If for whatever reason they cannot, they will refer you to a trusted contact.The insurance companies are the bottle neck in the entire process but the office staff & owner do their best to complete the work in a short turnaround time.They will never cut corners. They will never upsell you.Their staff, & their work, is top notch quality.

This company is great!! I live in Washington State, and I have a rental property in Richmond VA. Two weeks before my renter moved out the water heater broke. Walker and Frick assessed and fixed the problem quickly. I also had them paint the walls base boards and ceilings. They picked out the wall colors and carpet for me as I was 3000 miles away. I highly recommend Walker & Frick Construction Co, Inc. When faced with an unresponsive well-known water mitigation franchise team/owner, I was referred to Walker & Frick. From the first conversation with Paige Walsh, I received exceptional service. Each step of the way, she was helpful, professional, patient and responsive.Franklin Lafoon was an outstanding project manager. He explained the process and provided a timeline to address work left incomplete by the franchisee. Despite more than 100 projects, he managed to expedite the completion date prior to Thanksgiving. We discussed the remaining repairs would be completed before Christmas. Promise kept!Franklin and Stefan Gunn also returned to ensure all repairs were completed as requested. We had a pipe break in our bathroom and went through insurance to repair the bathroom floors, walls, cabinets and as well the garage and ceiling of garage due to water damage. I didn't know it at the time but Mr. Frick himself came out to our house to do the estimate. You have to love an owner who steps in to help when it is the busy season! Within 24 hours we had water remediation and then all the repairs were done on a timely and professional matter. I felt very taken care of throughout the process! The teams that came to my house wore masks and were super polite and friendly! I also LOVED working with Paige in the front office. We experienced an issue with a leaking water pipe in our crawl space and it was shooting up to our kitchen floor which was badly damaged. We had to install new hardwood floors in the kitchen, pantry and in the laundry room and they were installed by Walker & Frick Construction Co. They did excellent and quality work. We were amazed from speaking to the owner, Virt, who explained/walked us through the issue to ensure that we understood the process and pricing to meet our expectations. We were very satisfied with the job well done by Walker & Frick! Virt and his team were wonderful, friendly, hardworking, cleaned up after themselves and were extremely knowledgeable. The team arrived on time and attended to the issues with skill and thoroughness. The owner always followed up with phone calls. We highly recommended this company. We will be using them again in the future. The price was a very fair and reasonable.I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!

Excellent people to work with during stressful times! Once Chris was assigned to us as the contract manager this company was amazing to work with. We had water damage in our kitchen and I was VERY pregnant. I told Chris we needed to get the job done before I delivered. “He DELIVERED!” and did everything he could to make the process as fast as possible. Most importantly he was communicative and clear about what was going on, reasons for delays and next steps. It took 10 days to get a return call the schedule a visit for estimate. After 20 more days, I was informed very rudely by Susan at the office that it would be another month before they could even get an estimate back. In what world does it take over a month to create an estimate? The normal turn around is 3-4 days. I even waited when I was informed it would take up to 14 days to get the estimate back, when that date passed and I still had heard nothing, I followed up and was told now they aren't even going to to do the estimate!! They dropped the ball from the start. They didn't call me back in over 10 days, didn't get an estimate to me in 20 days, and when I complained they said they weren't going to do it all. So unprofessional, I have wasted almost a month waiting on them because I believed in their company's reputation. Avoid Walker and Frick at all cost!!

I personally witnessed one of their work vehicles drive up the bus lane and force themselves into the intersection to make an illegal turn. If this is any indication of how they conduct their business and how they prioritize safety, which it seems like it is at the bottom of their list, then I would not want to hire them. Safety first, always.

It shouldn't 30 days to have someone schedule a date as to when work will begin. I called 3 days in a row and was told each time that someone would call me back that day. I'll just continue to watch the water drip into my light fixture.
