Paid them top price for a complete new roof and guttersLess than a year later the shingles are curling and cracking the whole roof looks 20 years old many of the shingles are improperly installed and will cost 5-7 thousand dollars to correct the issuesService: Gutter repairs

UPDATE: Unfortunately we had to resort to takign Clinton (Matt Simmons) to court. We won a small sum of money to make up for some of the repairs but he has not paid, so now we have to figure that process out. I have also noticed 2 very similar complaints on the BBB website now. He does shotty work and then makes empty promises to fix the jobs and simply ghosts. He is also willing to purger himself in court to put the blame on his clients.We had another company come in and remove insulation, and drywall, dry and clean out any water damage and repair the roof with new shingles and flashing. When they took the shingles off they shows us several places where nails missed the tar strip (can cause leaking) and even some shingles that were apparently cut on the roof and they can run the knife through the installed roofing and underlayment. Repairs were more extensive than expected due to these problems.If you are considering a roof or need Matt's jobs repaired, call Senger Roofing in Harrisonburg - factory certified reasonable cost roofing with quality work and a 5 year + warranty.I was hoping to leave a 5 star review.My wife and I are veterans. We moved to Staunton 2 years ago and love the area. The house we bought is old and needed a new roof so we asked around and read reviews and decided to go with Matt Simmons. His team did our garage addition and the quality was great. Everything seemed normal. We hired him a year later to do the house and things did not go so well. The roof was installed in June. He has been back 4 tomes to fix a leak which continues to cause damage to the house. There is no ridge vent on the house for some reason even though it had one before. This can cause mold and mildew to build up in the attic and ruin the insulation.Insurance doesn't cover this sort of thing and I am not making a lot of money because I took time off to go back to school on the GI Bill.Matt no longer returns our calls and we're having trouble getting someone else out to do the repairs.I am not a roofer and I have too much on my plate right now with a 6 month old baby and school to learn this trade. Please beware.
