If I remember correctly, the owner of the company came to my home after being dispatched by my home warranty company, American Home Shield. I do not remember the guy's name but he was very cordial and did good work. My roof has not leaked since. He even kept in touch over several weeks, texting me, to ask how the work was holding up and to make sure we were no longer having any issues. Would even call/text after rainy days. Very professional, nice and good at what he does.

Merrill Building called me on Halloween to schedule repair on two holes in my drywall left by a plumbing company. I was given a date of 06NOV for them to stop by and complete the repair. Simply said, Merrill Building was a no call no show. I contacted American Home Shield and explained what happened and Merrill texted me to repair the dry wall later that day. I’d already inconvenienced someone else to wait for them to not show up at the originally scheduled day and timeframe then I had to leave work early for the second appointment a week later. I did not appreciate the lack of professionalism due to their failure to be present, communicate or follow through.

Rodney came out to assess a leak I had in my roof. He quickly determined the problem and repaired the issue with great technical expertise and knowledge. Not only did he perform a repair, but shared his extensive knowledge on what would cause the problem and showed me how to fix it if I come across a similar issue down the line. Was very polite and very professional. Would 10/10 recommend any day of the week.

Merrill Building was contracted out by my home warranty company for a small drywall repair job. I have left multiple messages as well as AHS leaving messages and Rodney has never responded. Very unprofessional.

The following are reviews that were submitted to Merrrill Building to post in behalf of the clients:I've known Rodney for 25 years, when he was one of the carpenters building our house! I've continued to call Rodney for anything needing attention in our home. Over the years he has replaced rotted exterior wood, replaced windows and doors, rebuilt porches and decks damaged in hurricanes, revised kitchen cabinetry...the list goes on and on. Recently, we had a leak over a metal seamed roof in a floor bay in our living room. The leak ruined our hardwood floor. Despite many professional opinions on what caused the leak, Rodney found the problem, fixed it, worked with our insurance adjuster, and we've not had a problem since. Not only is he a skilled builder, but he's a talented problem solver with good ideas about improvements. Always dependable and reliable, he's now a family friend. He's assigned as a contractor thru American home shield. He came out to look at work that needed to be done to my ceiling. He took pictures and stated he needed to get back in contact with them. Well that's been 2 weeks now and he won't answer his phone or return phone calls.
